    Opis:
    The first part of this paper presents the most popular on-the-job training methods and comments on their effectiveness. Then Training Within Industry (TWI) program, that originated in US in 1940s, is described. TWI program includes the Job Instruction method focused on improving on-the-job training efficiency. Problems with the knowledge transfer associated with the application of Job Instruction method are described in the next part of the paper. Finally, the newly designed Method Instruction focused on knowledge transfer is introduced. The Method Instruction is based on the philosophy of TWI program. Presentation of the structure of the Method Instruction is presented on the 5S System example. The last part of this paper presents where should be applied the Method Instruction in training process in industry companies and how the Method Instruction is a supplement to the Job Instruction method.

    For over ten years the authors of this article have had a growing conviction, resulting from their observations, that regardless of the approach adopted, the role of the company's boss always turns out to be of paramount importance during the implementation of both technical and sociological aspects of Lean philosophy. Having analyzed their experience gained from cooperation with different enterprises, conversations with company bosses, the studies of subject matter literature and internet sources, the authors have put together their thoughts on this role in ten points, even daring to call them commandments. The methodology of affinity diagram has been used to aggregate gathered data.

    Opis:
    Quantum graphs provide a setting to test the hypothesis that all ray-chaotic systems show universal wave chaotic properties. Here, an experimental setup consisting of a microwave coaxial cable network is used to simulate quantum graphs. The networks which are large compared to the wavelength, are constructed from coaxial cables connected by T junctions. The distributions of impedance statistics are obtained from experiments on an ensemble of tetrahedral networks. The random coupling model (RCM) is applied in an attempt to uncover the universal statistical properties of the system. Deviations from RCM predictions have been observed in that the statistics of diagonal and off-diagonal impedance elements are different. It is argued that because of the small finite-size quantum graphs utilized here there will be non-universal results.

Adiunkt, długoletni kierownik Pracowni Geometrii Wykreślnej i Grafiki Inżynierskiej oraz członek Polskiego Towarzystwa Geometrii Wykreślnej i Grafiki Inżynierskiej. Opublikował 55 artykułów naukowych.

    In this paper we present the key points of the public address of F. Sapalski at the Cracow Scientific Society on 16 November 1817. F. Sapalski presenting the essence of the new science, descriptive geometry, refers in his speech to the practical benefits of its application in art, science, construction, architecture etc. An important element is also the assessment of the impact of descriptive geometry on the socio - economic development of the country. The author thus becomes the proponent of the idea of shaping the social being through the development of modern technical education.
    W artykule przedstawiono zasadnicze tezy, pierwszego publicznego, wystąpienia F. Sapalskiego w Krakowskim Towarzystwie Naukowym w dniu 16 listopada 1817 roku. F. Sapalski prezentując istotę nowej nauki, geometrii wykreślnej, odnosi się w swoim wystąpieniu do praktycznych korzyści wynikających z jej stosowania w sztuce, nauce, budownictwie, architekturze itp. Ważnym elementem jest także ocena wpływu geometrii wykreślnej na rozwój społeczno-ekonomiczny kraju. Autor przez to staje się także propagatorem idei kształtowania bytu społecznego poprzez rozwijanie nowoczesnej edukacji technicznej.

    In the article the theory and practice of Descriptive Geometry applications comprised in the first textbook on Descriptive Geometry printed on the Polish land in 1822 in Warsaw (volume I) and in Cracow (volume II, journal 1) have been presented. The substantial contents of the presented textbook reflects well on the world high – level of the at that time didactics of Descriptive Geometry in Poland. The assessment and essential analysis contain references to of the time methodology of teaching Descriptive Geometry and to the form of recording of three – dimensional construction as a plane drawing.
    W publikacji przedstawiamy teorię i praktykę zastosowań geometrii wykreślnej zawartą w pierwszym podręczniku geometrii wykreślnej wydrukowanym na ziemiach polskich w 1822 roku w Warszawie (tom I) oraz w Krakowie (tom II, zeszyt 1). Zawartość merytoryczna prezentowanego podręcznika świadczy o światowym poziomie ówczesnej dydaktyki przedmiotu geometria wykreślna na ziemiach polskich. Ocena i analiza merytoryczna zawiera podstawowe odniesienia do ówczesnej metodyki nauczania przedmiotu geometria wykreślna oraz do formy zapisu konstrukcji trójwymiarowej na rysunku płaskim.

    In the article geometrical problems elaborated by Teofil Żebrawski and published in 1847 have been presented. The paper printed by J. Cypeer in Krakow was an extension and complement of the first textbook on descriptive geometry by Franciszek Sapalski entitled “Descriptive Geometry with Application to Perspective, Shadows, Masonry, Carpentry and Other Constructions, Worked for the Use of Military Application School”(1822). T. Żebrawski in his publication based on the theoretical part elaborated by F. Sapalski and developed the issue of tangency of a straight line to a given surface, assuming that the line passes through any point not lying on this surface. In addition, he supplemented the Sapalski’s elaboration with the issues of intersections of developable and revolution surfaces.
    W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia geometryczne opracowane przez Teofila Żebrawskiego i opublikowane w 1847r. Praca ukazała się nakładem J. Cypeera w Krakowie. Publikacja ta jest rozwinięciem i uzupełnieniem pierwszego podręcznika z geometrii wykreślnej autorstwa Franciszka Sapalskiego pt.”Geometria wykreślna z zastosowaniem do perspektywy, cieniów, gnomoniki, kamieniarstwa, ciesiołki i innych konstrukcji, wypracowana dla użytku szkoły wojskowej aplikacyjnej” z 1822 roku. Teofil Żebrawski w swojej publikacji, opierając się na części teoretycznej opracowanej przez F. Sapalskiego, rozwija zagadnienie styczności prostej do dowolnej zadanej powierzchni i wystawionej z dowolnego punktu nie leżącego na tej powierzchni. Ponadto uzupełnia opracowanie F. Sapalskiego o zagadnienia przenikania powierzchni obrotowych i rozwijalnych.

    On the paper the authors have presented an application of auxiliary projection planes (App), known in the Monge projection as the Transformation Method. to the Mapping Projection Method. The authors are of the opinion that the APP plays an integrating role for both representations and therefore possesses the feature of universality which is essential in Descriptive Geometry. Several typical examples have been solved in which application of one two or three APP was required. The authors also suggest the way auxiliary projection of points, lines and planes should be named and marked.

    The present study discusses results of heavy mineral analyses and radioactivity of beach sediments of Lake Peipsi. Such analyses are commonly done globally, but had not yet been conducted for the fourth largest lake in Europe. The average heavy mineral content in Lake Peipsi beach sediments along the northern and western coast is higher than usual for Estonian coastal and Quaternary sediments. Concomitantly, elevated radioactivity levels have been measured in several places, with the highest concentrations observed at Alajõe (1885.5 Bq/kg), which is over five times more than the recommended limit. The aim of the present study is to find sites with higher radioactivity levels, because the northern coast of Lake Peipsi is a well-known recreational area.

    Partition coefficients, expressed as logP, were calculated using Advanced Chemistry Development software (ACDlogP) [1] of all combinations of three amino acids (8000 tripeptides). Using our proprietary script, we generated a combination of 8000 tripeptides of 20 amino acids in the FASTA format and, subsequently, full atom Cartesian coordinates were generated. The ACDlogP’s of the generated tripeptides were calculated. Using the Kyte-Doolittle amino acid hydrophobicity scale [2, 3], the value of the correlation coefficients with the calculated ACDlogP values was determined. Hydrophobicity values were assumed as the arithmetic mean of the hydrophobicity of the three amino acids in the tripeptide. Optimisation of the theoretical hydrophobicity scale by minimisation of the correlation coefficient between the calculated ACDlogP values and the hydrophobicity for the tripeptides provided amino acid hydrophobicity; on this basis, the amino acids were divided into 7 groups. The new scale was normalised and implemented using the fuzzy-oil-drop model method to determine the theoretical protein active site of the 1HCK protein based on lipophilic hot spots on the protein surface. The results were compared with the respective results for the Kyte-Doolittle scale and the actual active site with ATP as the ligand.
