    Opis:
    Prayer makes people grow and it shows the supernatural dimension of the family community. The family is called to participate in liturgical, community and individual types of prayer. The most important forms of family prayer include: the Eucharist, sacramental celebrations, the Horarium, occasional blessings, contemplating and sharing the Word of God, Holy Rosary, Cult of the Most Sacred Heart of Lord Jesus, of God Mercy, of Holy Virgin Mary, pilgrimages and acts of folk devotion. The family is called to foster sacramental life and prayer practices of its members. This spiritual growth of the family takes places through bearing everyday testimony and the mutual prayer support on the part of the family members, as well as the educational initiatives for the children. Family prayer comes to fruition in the form of prayer apostolate, whose aims reach beyond the family. Religious associations and family religious movements play a significant role in the developing of family prayer and prayer apostolate.

    Opis:
    Parenthood is an integral element of conjugal love, which in its unifying aspect manifests its dynamism ad intra, while in its procreative aspect it shows its dynamism ad extra. Living through the procreative dimension is a particularly difficult task for those spouses who experience the drama of infertility. This paper briefly discusses the problem of infertility faced by a significant number of married couples today. It points out that instead of using the term “infertility”, it is better to talk about reduced fertility. The paper also presents the spiritual, psychological and moral difficulties faced by spouses who cannot have biological children. These difficulties are at the same time challenges for the pastoral care of families. The way to overcome these difficulties is to refer to the holistic approach to human fertility and parenthood, which takes into account both the physical and spiritual dimension. In the Magisterium of the Church, this approach to parenthood is expressed in the terms “the genealogy of the person” (Letter to Families), “integral procreation” (The Family and the Human Procreation) and “an expanding fruitfulness” (Amoris laetitia in Latin: amplificata fecunditas). An attempt of practical realization of such an understood holistic approach to parenthood is used in naprotechnology and teaching of fertility recognition with the Creighton Model, the so-called SPICE instruction.
    Rodzicielstwo jest integralnym elementem miłości małżeńskiej, która w aspekcie jednoczącym przejawia swój dynamizm ad intra, natomiast w aspekcie prokreacyjnym ukazuje dynamizm ad extra. Przeżywanie wymiaru prokreacyjnego jest szczególnie trudnym zadaniem dla tych małżonków, którzy doświadczają dramatu niepłodności. niniejszy artykuł omawia w skrócie problem niepłodności, z jakim mierzy się znaczna liczba współczesnych małżeństw. Zwraca uwagę, że zamiast używać terminu „niepłodność”, lepiej mówić o obniżonej płodności. Artykuł przestawia również trudności natury duchowej, psychologicznej i moralnej, przed jakimi stają małżonkowie, którzy nie mogą mieć biologicznych dzieci. Trudności te stanowią zarazem wyzwania dla duszpasterstwa rodzin. drogą przezwyciężenia tych zagrożeń jest odwołanie się do całościowego ujęcia ludzkiej płodności i rodzicielstwa, które uwzględnia zarówno wymiar cielesny, jak i duchowy. W Magisterium Kościoła takie ujęcie rodzicielstwa znajduje wyraz w określeniach „genealogia osoby” (List do rodzin), „prokreacja integralna” (Rodzina a ludzka prokreacja) oraz „płodność poszerzona” (Amoris laetitia, po łacinie: amplificata fecunditas). Próbą praktycznej realizacji tak rozumianego całościowego podejścia do rodzicielstwa jest stosowana w naprotechnologii i nauczaniu rozpoznawania płodności za pomocą Modelu Creighton tzw. instrukcja SPICE.

    Artykuł przedstawia ujęcie duchowości małżeńskiej w adhortacjach apostolskich Familiaris consortio i Amoris laetitia oraz prezentuje podobieństwa i różnice dotyczące tego zagadnienia w obydwu dokumentach. Posłużono się metodą analizy tekstów źródłowych z wykorzystaniem dostępnych opracowań, a także metodą porównawczą i dedukcyjną. W pierwszej części artykułu omówione zostały pojęcia duchowości chrześcijańskiej oraz duchowości małżeńskiej. Część druga stanowi analizę adhortacji Familiaris consortio pod kątem elementów duchowości małżeńskiej. W części trzeciej przeprowadzono analizę koncepcji duchowości małżeńskiej zawartej w adhortacji Amoris laetitia, opierając się przede wszystkim na treści rozdziału dziewiątego dokumentu. Część czwarta omawia podobieństwa i różnice w nauczaniu obydwu adhortacji. Familiaris consortio i Amoris laetitia przedstawiają podobną dynamikę duchowości małżeńskiej i dobrze się uzupełniają. Jan Paweł II bardziej szczegółowo przedstawia różne formy modlitewne, natomiast Franciszek w większym stopniu skupia się na konkretnych czynach miłości.
    The article presents the take on marital spirituality in the apostolic exhortations Familiaris Consortio and Amoris Laetitia, and shows the similarities and differences between both documents regarding the discussed issue. Source texts are analyzed with the use of available scholarly studies, the comparative and deductive methods being likewise employed. The first part of the article discusses the concepts of Christian spirituality and marital spirituality. The second part is an analysis of the exhortation Familiaris Consortio as regards elements of marital spirituality. In the third part, an analysis of the concept of marital spirituality contained in the exhortation Amoris Laetitia is carried out, based primarily on the content of the document’s chapter nine. The fourth section discusses the similarities and differences in the teaching of the two exhortations. Familiaris Consortio and Amoris laetitia represent similar dynamics of conjugal spirituality and complement each other well. John Paul II describes the various forms of prayer in more detail, while Francis focuses more on concrete acts of love.

    The aim of the article is to discuss the understanding of human sexuality evinced by a group of Kenyan Catholics from the methodological perspective of pastoral theology, pointing out certain conclusions and pastoral suggestions. The article comprises the following parts: theological-normative, sociological, and theological-postulating. The first synthetically presents human sexuality from the point of view of the teaching of the Catholic Church, the second discusses methodology and results of the conducted empirical research, while the third presents conclusions and suggestions for pastoral care of families. The research results show that the majority of respondents shared Catholic convictions on sexuality. However, less than half of the respondents believed that love of a man and a woman serves to transmit life to children and that true love of a man and woman requires an indissoluble marriage. A quite high percentage of respondents did not agree that sexual intercourse aims to forge a psychological and spiritual bond between the partners. Women more rarely than men shared Catholic convictions on human sexuality and more rarely than men believed that a human being should not be used as if he/ she was an object. This may show women’s lack of access to education as well as a strong impact of local traditional cultural models on their understanding of the role of women. These results point to some missionary-pastoral challenges, especially as regards education of youth, spouses, and spouses-to-be, as well as that of clergy, catechists, and lay employees of family ministry.
