Opis:
Modeling the safety of critical infrastructure free of outside impacts is presented, and basic safety indicators are defined. The safety of the port oil terminal critical infrastructure free of any outside impacts is examined based on critical infrastructure safety statistical data provided by the operators. Its safety function and other safety indicators are identified and predicted. Furthermore, the safety and resilience indicators for the critical infrastructure of the port oil terminal impacted by its operations are determined, and the results are compared to its indicators obtained without considering operation impacts

Opis:
.
In the investigation of large-scale systems the problem of the complexity of their reliability functions arises. This problem may be solved approximately by assuming that the number of system components tends to infinity and finding the limit reliability function. In this paper a four-element class of limit reliability functions for a regular homogeneous series-parallel system is presented. The number of series components of the system has the order of the logarithm of the number of its parallel components. The result is obtained under the assumption that the lifetimes of the particular components are independent and identically distributed random variables. The class presented is different from the known class of limit distributions of minimax statistics of independent random variables with the same distribution. Moreover, some examples of the systems considered and their limit reliability functions are given. The results can be useful in the investigation of the reliability of large systems.

Opis:
Methods of oil spill domains determination are reviewed and a new method based on a probabilistic approach to the solution of this problem is recommended. A semi-Markov model of the process of changing hydro-meteorological conditions is constructed. To describe the oil spill domain central point position a two-dimensional stochastic process is used. Parametric equations of oil spill domain central point drift trend curve for different kinds of hydro-meteorological conditions are determined. The general model of oil spill domain determination for various hydro-meteorological conditions is proposed. Moreover, statistical methods of this general model unknown parameters estimation are proposed. These methods are presented in the form of algorithms giving successive steps which should be done to evaluate these unknown model parameters on the base of statistical data coming from experiments performed at the sea. Moreover, approximate expected stochastic prediction and Monte Carlo Simulation in real time prediction of the oil spill domain movement are proposed.

Opis:
A method for reliability optimization, which is relevant for critical infrastructure activity governed by operational processes, is presented and applied to a port oil terminal. The optimal values for the reliability and resilience indicators related to the operation, are determined for this critical type of infrastructure. Simple suggestions regarding optimized infrastructural operation strategies are formulated and implemented towards reorganizing the port oil terminal processes in order to maximize its lifetime in defined reliability states.

Opis:
The Baltic Sea basin is analyzed and Baltic Sea main geographical and climatological parameters are presented. The Baltic Sea environmental impacts of human activity and the ways of their consequences protection are discussed. The set of critical infrastructure networks at Baltic Sea and its seaside is identified and critical infrastructures and their operation environment methodology is introduced. The integrated management system of safety and security of Baltic Sea area critical infrastructure networks is proposed as a new research project continuing HAZAD project subjects and its core aims and description are presented. The project research team conception is created and partner cooperation added values are addressed. Seven main steps of project implementation are suggested. Moreover, the appropriate and wide references are given.
