Opis:
The demand for castings with superior properties has compelled the development and optimization of manufacturing technologies. By further developing already known techniques, we are able to contribute to the introduction of new research possibilities. The article presents the methodology of conducting simulation tests of the gravity casting process into sand moulds with the use of ablation. The ablation technique consists in spraying water through evenly spaced nozzles onto a mould into which the liquid casting alloy has been poured. The conducted research focuses on an alloy from the group of Al-Si alloys. In order to compare the effects of different techniques, additional tests were carried out for gravity casting into sand and metal die moulds. At the same time, virtual experiments were conducted to develop a simulation methodology for ablation casting technology, taking into account mould degradation. Additionally, the possibility of predicting the final mechanical properties of various manufacturing technologies was tested. Destructive tests were carried out to determine the mechanical properties in the cast samples, as well as microstructure tests and secondary dendrite spacing. The results of the mechanical tests are compared with the predicted simulation properties.

Stowarzyszenie Krzewienia Edukacji Finansowej upowszechnia edukację finansową za pomocą inicjatyw edukacyjnych skierowanych do szerokiego grona odbiorców, m.in. nauczycieli przedsiębiorczości, których wspiera w procesie nauczania młodzieży. Odpowiadając na potrzeby nauczycieli w zakresie zwiększenia atrakcyjności i skuteczności nauczania w obszarze podejmowania i prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej, Stowarzyszenie opracowało i udostępniło nauczycielom nieodpłatnie grę planszową „Przedsiębiorczość na planszy”, uzupełnioną konspektami lekcji i przewodnikiem metodycznym (łącznie zwane pakietem „Przedsiębiorczość na planszy). Gra jest dostosowana do warunków szkolnych, a jej tematyka i zakres merytoryczny są zgodne z podstawą programową przedmiotu podstawy przedsiębiorczości. Pakiet „Przedsiębiorczość na planszy” powstał w ramach projektu „Gra na start! Edukacja przedsiębiorcza młodzieży z wykorzystaniem planszowej gry edukacyjnej”, realizowanego przez Stowarzyszenie Krzewienia Edukacji Finansowej z Narodowym Bankiem Polskim w ramach programu edukacji ekonomicznej.
The Society for Promotion of Financial Education promotes financial education by undertaking educational initiatives addressed to a wide audience, including teachers of entrepreneurship to support them in the process of teaching young people. Responding to teacher’s needs to make teaching about starting and running a business more attractive and effective, the Society has developed and made available to teachers, free of charge, a board game „Entrepreneurship on a board”. The board game is supplemented with lesson outlines and a methodological guide. The game is adjusted to school conditions and its subject matter and content are in line with the core curriculum for the subject Basics of Enterprise. Package „Entrepreneurship on the board” was created for the project „Game to start! Entrepreneurial education of youth with the use of education board game” carried out by the Society for Promotion of Financial Education in cooperation with the National Bank of Poland as part of the Economic Education Program.

The HLC (Heritage–Landscape–Community) archaeological metaproject, carried out since 2016 by the Jagiellonian University in cooperation with the Department of Antiquities, Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, targets the archaeological heritage of southern Jordan (Tafila region), focusing currently on remains of the Early Bronze Age and earlier cultures that were found in the region. The project has already identified and verified several previously undocumented or poorly documented sites. Its main objective is to establish chronological phasing of human activity in this microregion, particularly during the Early Bronze Age, and to assess the scale and nature of human presence in that period. Two sites, Faysaliyya and Munqata’a, were excavated within the frame of the project. The article presents the preliminary results of this work. An important side issue is the protection of Jordanian heritage in the Tafila region through the identification of natural and human agents that may damage or destroy it.
