    Celem artykułu jest prezentacja, analiza i ocena funkcjonowania rynku pracy w województwie wielkopolskim w latach 2000-2013. Na tle sytuacji na rynku pracy dokonano także analizy sytuacji w zakresie polityki rynku pracy prowadzonej w przekroju regionalnym. Przeanalizowano tu wydatki z Funduszu Pracy poniesione na prowadzenie polityki rynku pracy. W Wielkopolsce występuje dość duże zróżnicowanie stóp bezrobocia: od miasta Poznania i powiatu poznańskiego, gdzie stopa bezrobocia jest na poziomie naturalnym, do powiatów o wysokim bezrobociu i jego trwałym charakterze, jak w przypadku powiatu wągrowieckiego i innych. Zróżnicowanie terytorialne bezrobocia w regionie wielkopolskim jest zatem dodatkową cechą charakterystyczną, na którą muszą zwracać uwagę politycy szczebla regionalnego zajmujący się sprawami rynku pracy.
    The aim of the paper is to present, analyze and evaluate changes taking place on the labour market in the context of the labour market policy. The study area covers Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, which has been presented against national indexes, however, sometimes statistical data for poviats of this voivodeship have been applied. The time scope covers the period 2003-2014, although data availability sometimes has limited the time scope. The study includes a presentation of the level, structure and rate of unemployment on the study area. Expenditures on labour market policy have been presented regarding their level and subject structure. Moreover, there has been performed an analysis of employment efficiency and cost labour market policy on the study area. The final part of the paper offers synthetic conclusions formulated on the basis of the carried out analyses as well as recommendations for regional politicians.

    The aim of the article is to determine the economic situation of people aged over 50 and the conditions of their professional activity. The subject of the analysis is the labour market of Poland – an EU Member State and of the OECD, a country that has undergone a political transformation from a centrally planned economy to a market economy. The research methods applied in the study included: literature analysis, methods of statistical analysis based on descriptive statistics tools, analysis of variability and logical analysis of cause and effect relationships. To achieve the aim of the article, several research questions were formulated. First of all, these addressed several issues: Is the population aged 50+ in Poland is still professionally active? What are the reasons for the decision to be professionally active or inactive? What factors influence changes in the number of pensioners? Is the situation of people aged 50+ on the Polish labour market different from their situation in other EU countries? The research methods used in this study are: literature analysis, statistical analysis method based on descriptive statistic tools, analysis of variability, and logical analysis of cause and effect relationship. By the way of conclusion, an attempt was also made to compare the situation in Poland with the models of life of the elderly in other European economies of such countries as Czechia, Germany, Sweden and Italy. The main findings were the following: the economic situation of the elderly in Poland deteriorated, their willingness to look for work and activity increased, but unfortunately this search was hindered by significant barriers to accessing the labour market. Recommendations for economic policy include demands to take specific actions to extend professional activity, facilitate access to digital job search methods, and social campaigns to counteract ageism.

    Celem artykułu jest prezentacja, analiza i ocena głównych miar makroekonomicznych w kontekście rozwoju gospodarczego. Obszar badawczy stanowi Polska, wybrane kraje Unii Europejskiej oraz świata, które są porównywane w ramach podejmowanej problematyki. Zakres czasowy obejmuje lata 1990-2014, choć niekiedy okres ten skrócono z uwagi na trudności z porównywalnością danych. Przede wszystkim przedstawiono tu zatem pojęcie samego rozwoju gospodarczego w literaturze ekonomicznej będącego pojęciem szerszym od wzrostu gospodarczego, a także węższym od pojęcia rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego. W prowadzonych analizach ograniczono się bowiem do miar ekonomicznych, choć jak wiadomo z rozwojem wiążą się istotne zmiany natury społecznej i demograficznej. W dalszej części przedstawiono podstawowe mierniki ekonomiczne do których zaliczyć należy PKB, PKB per capita, inwestycje, oszczędności. Miary te zostały przedstawione w ujęciu dynamicznym i porównawczym wśród badanych krajów. W przygotowaniu artykułu posłużono się literaturą przedmiotu (polsko- i anglojęzyczną), a także danymi statystycznymi udostępnianymi przez Bank Światowy, MFW i inne jednostki badawcze krajowe i zagraniczne.
    The goal of the elaboration is to present, analyze and evaluate main macroeconomic measures in the context of economic development. Research area is Poland, selected countries of the EU and the world, which are compared in this issues. The time range covers the period 1990-2014, although sometimes this period is shortened due to the difficulty of comparability of data. First of all, the concept presented here, therefore, the economic development in the economic literature that is the wider concept of economic growth, and also narrower than the concept of socio-economic development. Results of analyzes restricted itself to economic measures, are associated with the development of significant changes in social and demographic sphere. The following shows the basic economic measures which should include GDP, per capita income, investments, savings. These measures are presented in a dynamic and comparative among the countries surveyed. In preparing this article were used literature on the subject (Polish and En-glish), as well as statistical data provided by the World Bank, IMF and other research units in Poland and abroad.

    Przedmiotem opracowania jest spojrzenie na kształtowanie się zmian na regionalnych rynkach pracy w Polsce w okresie pandemii COVID-19. Celem opracowania jest wskazanie na kluczowe negatywne i pozytywne cechy sytuacji na regionalnych rynkach pracy, a także wskazanie ewentualnych przyszłych możliwości prowadzenia polityki rynku pracy w regionach i w skali kraju, by pojawiające się negatywne zjawiska na tym rynku pracy zwalczać. Okres badawczy obejmuje dane kwartalne od roku 2018 do I kwartału 2021 r., choć w odniesieniu do niektórych danych okres ten został nieco zmieniony. W opracowaniu wykorzystano analizę literatury ekonomicznej, metody analizy logicznej, przyczynowo skutkowej, a ponadto posłużono się prostymi metodami statystyki opisowej, wykorzystując takie miary jak odchylenie standardowe, średnia arytmetyczna, czy współczynnik zmienności. Większość danych została przedstawiona w ujęciu 16 województw, utożsamiając pojęcie regionu z wyodrębnionymi w podziale administracyjnym Polski województwami.     The aim of this study is to present, analyze and assess the level and relations of labor costs and productivity in Poland and European Union. Analyses of labor markets in European Union states show that these markets are characterized by very similar measures regarding the levels of professional activity, unemployment rate and efficiency of labor market policy programs. However, the difference in the level of wages still remains high. Among the reasons for this phenomenon we can indicate the levels of labor costs and productivity, which determine the levels of wages in particular member states. Thus the subject of this paper is the analysis of the levels of labor costs and productivity in Poland versus those in European Union. The thesis stated in the study is that the maintained differences in wages in European Union may be explained by differences in the levels and relations of labor costs and productivity, which are discussed in detail in the study.

    The goal of the paper is to determine the role and instruments of the state policy regarding labor market at the national level. It considers in detail the role of the state policy applied to shape employment conditions in public and private sectors in terms of its legal status and implementation. Moreover, the state indicates a significant framework for the scope, mainly by determination of the minimum wages but also, as an employer, by defining average and the highest wages in economy. Moreover, there is presented an analysis of implementation of this policy, in which such aspects as the level, dynamics, structure and pay of employees were studied. Poland constitutes the study area of the analysis, although sometimes there are made justified and necessary references to the whole area of the EU. The study period of the empirical observations covers the years 2004-2012.

    The aim of this paper is to present, analyze and evaluate changes on the labor market in Poland and in the European Union. In the paper we have presented, above all, labor supply resources, labor demand and the wages level and relationships and situation regarding the unemployment level. The presentation and analysis of the macroeconomic data have been an attempt to compare the functioning of this market in Poland and in the European Union. The results of the analyses imply that the studied countries and areas still remain very diverse regarding the formation of the situation on their labor markets.

    Celem pracy jest przedstawienie, analiza i ocena poziomu i relacji wydajności pracy w Polsce w perspektywie regionalnej. Różnica w poziomie wydajności pracy w regionach pozostaje wysoka. Wśród przyczyn tego zjawiska można wskazać poziom wydajności pracy, który określa poziom wynagrodzeń w poszczególnych regionach. Tak więc przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza poziomu wydajności pracy w Polsce. Tezą potwierdzona w badaniu jest to, że utrzymujące się różnice w płacach w regionach Polski mogą być wyjaśnione przy pomocy różnic w poziomach i relacji płac, które są szczegółowo omówione w niniejszym opracowaniu.
