Opis:: The paper presents design of neuro-fuzzy control and its application in chemical technologies. Our approach to neuro-fuzzy control is a combination of the neural predictive controller and the neuro-fuzzy controller (Adaptive Network-based Fuzzy Inference System - ANFIS). These controllers work in parallel. The output of ANFIS adjusts the output of the neural predictive controller to enhance the control performance. Such design of an intelligent control system is applied to control of the continuous stirred tank reactor and laboratory mixing process.

Opis:: This work deals with decay resistance and selected physical and mechanical properties of wooden composites (WCs) prepared from 3.6 mm thick three-layer beech plywood and 0.6 mm thick decorative surface veneers of selected exotic (aningr´e, bubinga, iroko, khaya, padouk, sapelli, weng´e) and domestic (beech, European oak, sweet chestnut, walnut) wood species. Joining of veneers in the plywood and then also in the WCs was carried out by pressing processes using the PF glue Fenokol 43. The aim of the experiment was to determine the influence of surface veneers of different natural durability on rotting of the WCs, and on resistance of the WCs to water and mechanical loadings, as well. Decay resistance of individual veneers and WCs was tested by modified EN 113 against the brown-rot fungi Serpula lacrymans or Coniophora puteana, and the white-rot fungi Phanerochaete chrysosporium or Trametes versicolor. Weight losses of individual types of veneers and WCs caused by wood-destroying fungi were compared with weight losses of beech-veneer and beech-WC, respectively. The lowest weight losses at rotting processes showed the padouk-WC, i.e. WC prepared from the beech plywood and two the most durable padouk surface veneers. Density, water soaking, water swelling, tensile strength perpendicularly to the plane (?), and bending characteristics (MOR, MOE) of all WCs were determined in accordance with European standards. These physical and mechanical properties of the WCs were only partly influenced by the type of surface veneers. Selected types of the WCs, e.g. padouk-WC, could also be convenient for exterior expositions out of ground contact.

Opis:: The aim of the study was to investigate the antibiotic resistant E. coli strains isolated from bioaerosols and surface swabs in a slaughterhouse as a possible source of poultry meat contamination. The highest air coliforms contamination was during shackling, killing and evisceration of poultry. The strains showed resistance to ampicillin (89%), ceftiofur (62%) and cefquinome (22%), while resistance to ampicillin with sulbactam was only 6%. Resistance to streptomycin and gentamicin was detected in 43% vs. 14% isolates; to tetracycline 33%; to chloramphenicol and florfenicol in 10% vs. 18% isolates; to cotrimoxazol in 35% isolates; to enrofloxacin in 43 % isolates. The higher MIC of ceftazidime (3.6 mg.l-1) and ceftriaxon (5.2 mg.l-1) revealed the presence of ESBLs in 43% of isolates. From 19 selected phenotypically ESBL positive strains, 16 consisted of CMY-2 genes, while CTX-M genes were not detected by PCR. Maldi tof analysis of selected E. coli showed a clear clonal relatedness of environmental strains from various withdrawals.
