Opis:
One of the aims of St. Paul’s epistles is to provide his addressees with moral instruction. There is such content related to morality in the apostle’s epistles, providing a basis and justification for moral norms. This study deals with elements of Christianology in St. Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians. The former term “anthropology,” used in St. Paul’s vision of the Christian, has been replaced by the term called “Christianology.” Saint Paul’s material on Christianology is very rich; therefore, this study is limited to the most important aspects of following Jesus Christ based on selected Polish language commentary on St. Paul the Apostle’s Epistle to the Ephesians. This epistle contains specific guidelines on how to follow Christ.
Jednym z celów listów św. Pawła jest przekazanie adresatom treści moralnych. Znajdują się u Apostoła treści, które stanowią podstawę i uzasadnienie dla norm moralnych. Niniejsze studium traktuje o elementach chrystianologii w Liście św. Pawła do Efezjan. Dotychczasowy termin „antropologia” stosowany do Pawłowej wizji chrześcijanina został zastąpiony terminem „chrystianologia”. Pawłowy materiał chrystianologiczny jest bardzo bogaty, dlatego ograniczono niniejszą refleksję do najważniejszych aspektów dotyczących naśladowania Jezusa Chrystusa w oparciu o wybrane polskojęzyczne komentarze Listu św. Pawła Apostoła do Efezjan. W Liście znajdują się konkretne wskazówki jak naśladować Chrystusa.

The fundamental outlook for the concept of faith is determined by the truth about Christ – the Son of God who became a man. Faith is always a reference to the person of Christ and to His work of salvation. For Christians, Jesus Christ is the Revealer who reveals man to himself and shows him he meaning of his life. The figure of Jesus Christ makes it possible for the believers of all times to continue examining His infinite existential and moral depth.Therefore, the aim of this publication is to raise awareness of the need to indicate the consequences which induce the figure of Christ and His work of salvation in men. The point is the reference of the Christological reflection to our everyday life in attempt to answer the question of who Jesus Christ is to our faith. The following study is based on the encyclical Lumen fidei by the Pope Francis.
Zasadniczą perspektywę dla pojmowania wiary wyznacza prawda o Chrystusie – Synu Bożym, który stał się człowiekiem. Wiara jest zawsze odniesieniem do osoby Chrystusa i do Jego dzieła zbawienia. Dla chrześcijan Jezus Chrystus jest Objawicielem, który objawia człowieka samemu sobie i ukazuje mu sens jego życia. Postać Jezusa Chrystusa sprawia, że wierzący wszystkich czasów mogą wciąż doskonalej wnikać w Jego nieskończoną głębię egzystencjalną i moralną.Celem publikacji jest uświadomienie potrzeby wskazania konsekwencji, które wywołują w człowieku postać Chrystusa i Jego dzieło zbawienia. Chodzi zatem o odniesienie prowadzonej refleksji chrystologicznej do naszego życia, aby znaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie, kim jest Jezus Chrystus dla naszej wiary. Punktem odniesienia niniejszego studium jest encyklika Lumen fidei papieża Franciszka.

W niniejszej publikacji w świetle listów pasterskich i kazań Jerzego Ablewicza zostaną ukazane fundamentalne przejawy życia kultycznego, a mianowicie: modlitwa, świętowanie dnia Pańskiego i pielgrzymowanie. Wszystkie te akty kultu religijnego nadają właściwy kierunek i siłę całemu chrześcijańskiemu życiu człowieka. Wpływają one na kształtowanie właściwej postawy wobec Boga, bliźniego i otaczającego świata.
The virtue of piety plays a fundamental role in the shaping of Christian life. In the teachings of Jerzy Ablewicz, Bishop of Tarnow, it has been treated exceptionally extensively and in detail. The virtue of piety finds its fulfilment in all sorts of acts of worship. In the light of the pastoral letters and sermons of Jerzy Ablewicz, this article presents the fundamental manifestations of the divine life, namely: prayer, the celebration of the Lord’s day, and pilgrimage. All these acts of religious worship impart strength and the proper direction to the entire Christian life of man. They influence the shaping of a right attitude towards God, one’s neighbor and the surrounding world.

Sexuality plays an important role in human life. It is a basic factor of personality, agreement with others, expressing and of experiencing human love. However, it is necessary to notice that nowadays the field of human sexuality collides with some concepts and events that make it trivialized. Modern culture separates sexuality from the man’s supernatural vocation, from the integral vision of the person, and basically brings it to the aspect of urges. In this perspective, a reference of human sexuality to the world of moral values is an incredibly important task. These values are marriage, family, procreation and love. Furthermore, the most important entities which influence the attitudes in the field of human sexuality are: family, school and church.
Płciowość odgrywa doniosłą rolę w życiu ludzkim. Jest ona podstawowym współczynnikiem osobowości, porozumienia z innymi, wyrażania i przeżywania ludzkiej miłości. Trzeba jednak zauważyć, że dziedzina ludzkiej płciowości zderza się dzisiaj z pewnymi koncepcjami i zjawiskami, które banalizują płciowość. Współczesna kultura odrywa płciowość od nadprzyrodzonego powołania człowieka, od integralnej wizji osoby ludzkiej, a sprowadza ją wyłącznie do aspektu popędowego. W tej perspektywie niezwykle ważnym zadaniem jest odniesienie ludzkiej płciowości do świata wartości moralnych. Tymi wartościami jest małżeństwo, rodzina, przekazywanie życia i miłość. Do najważniejszych zaś podmiotów mających wpływ na kształtowanie postaw w dziedzinie ludzkiej płciowości należy zaliczyć: rodzinę, szkołę i Kościół.

Pastors of the Church in Poland – inspired by the prophetic vision of the Blessed John Paul – made at the beginning of the third millennium, the completion of the task of the Church that was home for their children. This is the keynote of the three-year National Pastoral Programme at the beginning of the second decade of the twenty-first century. In building a community of the Church’s fundamental role of the sacraments. Of all the sacraments of the Church meet the important role of the so-called sacraments of healing, which is the sacrament of penance and reconciliation and the sacrament of anointing of the sick. They constitute an essential component of ecclesial identity. These are the sacraments in a special way responsible for designing and building the community of the Church. The publication shows that the penance and the anointing are clearly the ecclesial character. Therefore, the Christian faithful fulfillment of all obligations arising from the sacrament of penance and anointing of the leaven of the Gospel is, that makes the Church made present in a community of unity, love and peace. Through fidelity to his vocation and witness of life man reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Penance and the Sacrament of the Anointing of the adoption of strengthened contributes to the growth of the whole Church and to His holiness. Everything, therefore, what is important in the life of the Church and what gives it the true dimension and meaning, you can find in the sacrament of penance and anointing.

In this perspective it seems that the mercy as the style of the priestly life requires to be presented again with new enthusiasm and with renewed pastoral activity. This is a key task for the Church. Therefore, the moral-pastoral reflections included in this publication aim to - in the light of the documents of the Church, especially the writings and statements of popes: John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis - encourage in the Holy Year to rediscover and revive the sense of identity and essential tasks of priestly ministry fulfilled primarily in preaching and practicing the virtue of mercy.

Today, the field of transplantation has enormous achievements, especially with reference to the renal, heart and liver transplantation. It is particularly visible when you trace the history of the transplant medicine and its rapid growth in the second part of the 20th century. However, in spite of the development of surgical techniques and elaboration of a number of rules that qualify organs for transplantation, the number of problems connected with taking organs does not decrease. Along with the development of transplantation many moral questions appeared, such as verifying the actual death of the organ donor and connected with setting clear criteria for choosing the organ donor for transplantation. These aspects of the transplant medicine that raise doubts and even controversy have become the subject of ethical exploration.

A man needs culture in order to grow harmoniously. Culture should help to develop each person in full and integral humanism allowing him to reach the fullness of humanity in every aspect of life. Thus, human identity is formed and updated in the cultural sphere. The first and the most important task of culture is to educate. In terms of education through culture it is crucial to teach/form a man in such a way that he could share his values with other people. The second, equally meaningful task of culture is widely understood education, including the issues of science, technology and sports. The means of communication are also a very essential element of cultural growth/development. Upbringing and education as shown in this study allow a better understanding of self, others and the world. They shape in a man the ability to express the right opinions, to become more sensitive to the truth and the beauty and above all, they give a sense of meaning of objective good that creates morality. This is why culture can never be realized to the detriment of a man, but always for his gooda nd moral growth/development.

Observing the transformations taking place in the world, it is important to note the need for continuous reference in various areas of human life to Mary, whose example is always relevant. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to present Mary as a model of faith and moral life for the contemporary disciples of Christ. Mary – with her example – teaches one how to be a disciple of Christ in an authentic way, not superficial one. She is an example of understanding the Christian life as a commitment. Looking to Mary as an example, the individual learns to obey God in the path of faith and finds the values that lead him or her through the paths of the Christian moral life. Life permeated with the Marian spirit becomes an inspiration for the contemporary disciples of Christ to grow in faith, to do good and radically reject everything which is in contrary to the Christian ideal.

Miłość, która – według papieża Benedykta XVI – stanowi istotę chrześcijaństwa, musi być dzisiaj na nowo ukazywana jako rzeczywistość dostępna dla każdego człowieka, gdyż Bóg kocha wszystkich bez wyjątku. Musi być także we właściwy sposób tłumaczone orędzie o miłości Bożej. Dlatego celem niniejszej pracy było przedstawienie teologicznomoralnej prawdy o Bogu, który miłuje i jest miłością w świetle nauczania papieża Benedykta XVI zawartego w encyklice Deus caritas est. W opracowaniu ukazana została wzajemność miłości Boga i człowieka, ze szczególnym zaakcentowaniem pierwszeństwa Bożej miłości. Dalej przedstawione zostało zagadnienie odpowiedzi człowieka na Bożą miłość, która znajduje swoje urzeczywistnienie w przykazaniu miłości. Została też zaprezentowana zależność między miłością Boga a miłością bliźniego, która od zawsze była interpretowana w łączności.
The love, which according to Pope Benedict XVI is the essence of the Christianity, must be re-presented today as a reality accessible to every human being, because God loves everyone without exception. The message of divine love must also be properly translated. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to present the theological and moral truth about God, who loves and is love in the light of the teaching of Pope Benedict XVI contained in the Encyclical Deus caritas est. The publication shows the reciprocal love of God and man, with particular emphasis on the priority of God's love. The issue of human response to God's love, which finds its fulfillment in the commandment of love, is further illustrated. Moreover, the relationship between the love of God and the love of neighbor, which has always been interpreted in connection, has been presented.

The concept of Christian morality depends on the place that is given to love and how this love is expressed (its specificity). In the context of contemporary concepts of love and the loss of man in the field of love, it is particularly important to recognize the new commandment of love. Love is, on the one hand, a gift of God, and on the other – it has been clearly formulated as a commandment. In the following publication – based on the teachings of Pope Benedict contained in the encyclical Deus caritas est – the theme of love will be presented as the New Covenant law, expressed in the Jesus new commandment of love. This reflection will be an attempt to explain in what key to properly understand the new commandment of love, which Jesus proclaimed to his disciples and how it should be implemented in the life of a believer. For love is the heart of the morality of the New Covenant.
Koncepcja moralności chrześcijańskiej zależy od miejsca, jakie przyznaje się miłości i jak się tę miłość (jej specyfikę) ujmuje. W kontekście współczesnych koncepcji miłości i zagubienia człowieka na płaszczyźnie miłości szczególnie ważne staje się rozpoznanie nowego przykazania miłości. Miłość jest z jednej strony darem Boga, a z drugiej – zostało wyraźnie sformułowane jako przykazanie. W niniejszej publikacji – w oparciu o nauczanie papieża Benedykta zawarte w encyklice Deus caritas est – zostanie ukazany temat miłości jako prawa Nowego Przymierza, wyrażony w Jezusowym nowym przykazaniu miłości . W refleksji będzie podjęta próba wyjaśnienia, w jakim kluczu właściwie rozumieć nowe przykazanie miłości, które Jezus proklamował wobec swoich uczniów oraz jak powinno być ono realizowane w życiu człowieka wierzącego. Miłość bowiem jest sercem moralności Nowego Przymierza.

Opis:
The role of the Eucharist in shaping the moral life is enormous and in fact, thanks to the Eucharist, the essence of Christian life can be read. Therefore, it is not surprising that Pope Benedict XVI has often addressed the Eucharist in his teachings. In this way, he wanted to deepen and revive the worship of Eucharistic Jesus. In his teachings, he showed the Eucharist as the greatest treasure given to man for shaping the moral life. He constantly reminded us of the obligations arising from the participation in the Eucharist. Because of its specificity, the Eucharist contains moral calls: to sacrifice, to feeding on the bread of life, to praise and giving thanks, and to living in faith and love. Fulfilling all these attitudes and moral calls in everyday life is a way to progress in the Eucharistic life.
Rola Eucharystii w kształtowaniu życia moralnego jest przeogromna i właściwie dzięki Eucharystii można odczytać istotę życia chrześcijańskiego. Nie dziwi zatem to, że papież Benedykt XVI tak często w swoim nauczaniu podejmował temat Eucharystii. Chciał w ten sposób pogłębić i ożywić u ludzi wierzących kult Jezusa Eucharystycznego. W swoim nauczaniu ukazywał Eucharystię jako największy skarb dany człowiekowi w celu kształtowania życia moralnego. Nieustannie przypominał o zobowiązaniach wynikających z uczestnictwa w Eucharystii. Przez swą specyfikę Eucharystia zawiera bowiem w sobie wezwania moralne: do postawy ofiarnej, do karmienia się chlebem życia, do uwielbienia i dziękczynienia oraz do życia wiarą i miłością. Wypełnianie w codzienności wszystkich tych postaw i wezwań moralnych jest drogą do postępu w życiu eucharystycznym.

The aim of this publication is to outline a moral reorientation through the emulation of Christ based on the teachings of Josef Ratzinger – Benedict XVI. The study used the method of source analysis and synthesis of the researched content, which provided an insight into the fundamental thoughts of Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI. In a contemporary society which is undergoing dehumanisation, individuals who are receptive to values can often become disoriented and struggle to find their rightful place in the world. Therefore the moral state of modern humanity requires a fundamental change. An individual capable of providing healing to human beings challenged in their development, and reinstating a sense of purpose to their existence on Earth is needed. Responding to the demands of the modern era, Pope Benedict XVI identifi ed Christ as the cornerstone for the conversion of human hearts and minds. The relationship with Christ, which is central to the concept of emulation, is essential for being a genuine Christian. Emulating Christ within the temporal continuum of a Christian’s life necessitates addressing personal problems and the surrounding reality through the lens of the Gospel’s principles.
Celem niniejszej publikacji jest zarysowanie reorientacji moralnej poprzez naśladowanie Chrystusa w oparciu o nauczanie Josepha Ratzingera – Benedykta XVI. W pracy wykorzystano metodę analizy źródeł i syntezę badanych treści, która dała możliwość zapoznania się z fundamentalnymi myślami Josepha Ratzingera – Benedykta XVI. W ulegającej dehumanizacji cywilizacji współczesnej człowiek otwarty na wartości często się gubi się i nie może odnaleźć swojego miejsca w świecie. Sytuacja moralna współczesnego człowieka domaga się zatem głębokiej przemiany. Potrzeba kogoś, kto mógłby uzdrowić zagrożonego w swoim rozwoju człowieka i ukazać mu na nowo sens ziemskiej egzystencji. Odpowiadając na to zapotrzebowanie współczesności papież Benedykt XVI wskazał na Chrystusa jako fundament przemiany ludzkich serc i umysłów. Związek z Chrystusem, który leży u podstaw idei naśladowania, jest warunkiem koniecznym bycia prawdziwym chrześcijaninem. Naśladowanie Chrystusa w wymiarze doczesnym życia chrześcijanina zobowiązuje do rozwiązywania problemów własnego życia i otaczającej rzeczywistości w świetle wymogów Ewangelii.
