    Artykuł omawia wybrane uwarunkowania profesjonalizacji pracy socjalnej w Polsce, odnosząc się zarazem do specjalizacji w klinicznej pracy socjalnej. Autor mianem klinicznej pracy socjalnej określa gotowość do pracy z Drugim opartej na bezpośrednim kontakcie, dialogu i terapeutycznej relacji, ale i interdyscyplinarnym sposobie myślenia o człowieku i społeczeństwie. Przedstawia jej uwarunkowania, takie jak: wolny rynek, społeczeństwo obywatelskie, samoorganizacja pracowników socjalnych, ich uprawnienia zawodowe oraz zawodowe specjalizacje w pracy socjalnej. Orientacja kliniczna jest ukazana na tle innych orientacji w pracy socjalnej: instrumentalnej, funkcjonalnej i krytycznej.
    The article discusses the context of the professionalization of social work in Poland. It focuses on the specialisation in clinical social work. As clinical social work is understood work with the Other based on direct contact, dialogue, therapeutical relation and more generally — on an interdisciplinary understanding of human being and society. Such contextual factors of is emergence are presented in the article as: free market, civil society, self-organization of social workers, their professional powers and specific specialisations within social work. A clinical orientation is discussed against the backdrop of other orientations in social work, that is: an instrumental, functional and critical orientations.     Celem artykułu jest refleksja nad kierunkami i zasadami aktywności badawczej oraz praktycznej podejmowanej z perspektywy klinicznie zorientowanej socjologii i pracy socjalnej, a jego punktem skupienia pytanie dotyczące znaczenia współpracy organizacji pomocy społecznej, analizowanej z perspektywy dialogicznej. Empiryczną inspiracją przedstawionych rozważań są działania podejmowane w ramach projektu Kooperacje 3D. Model wielosektorowej współpracy na rzecz wsparcia osób i rodzin. Podstawowym wnioskiem jest konieczność ponownego przemyślenia klinicznego podejścia w socjologii oraz pracy socjalnej w taki sposób, aby fuzja ich specyficznych perspektyw badawczych oraz aplikacyjnych wzmacniała inicjowane w obszarze pomocowym dialogi międzyinstytucjonalne. Tym samym dominująca orientacja badawcza i aplikacyjna, dla której synonimem jest „osoba i rodzina” oraz świadczona jej „pomoc”, może zostać zrównoważona otwartością na potencjał rozwojowy związany z eksplorowaniem treści, form i znaczeń współpracy podejmowanej przez osoby zaangażowane w działania pomocowe.
    The aim of the article is to reflect on the directions and principles of research and applied activity undertaken from the perspective of clinically oriented sociology and social work; the focus of the study is the question of the importance of cooperation between social welfare organizations, analyzed from a dialogical perspective. The empirical inspiration of the presented considerations are actions taken as part of the project 3D Cooperation. Model of multisectoral cooperation in support of individuals and families. The basic recommendation resulting from the analysis is the necessity to rethink the clinical approach in sociology and social work in such a way that the fusion of specific research and application perspectives of these two disciplines strengthens the inter-institutional dialogues initiated in the area of social assistance. Thus, the dominant research and application orientation, synonymous with “an individual and a family” and the “help” provided to them, can be balanced with an approach open to the development potential related to exploring the essence, forms and meanings of cooperation undertaken by people involved in assistance activities.

    The authors present the key aspects of establishing cooperation with people experiencing a mental health crisis, referred to in the literature as service users involvement (SUI); not only drawing attention to the theoretical context of the SUI approach, but also illustrating it with a practice developed in Gdynia social welfare, which is unique on a national scale. The aim of the study, which combines theoretical reflection and a description of a case study of the activity of the local community, is to draw attention to the participatory approach important for the identity of social workers, referred to as service users involvement (SUI). The source of the generalizations presented in the article is the authors' systematic reflection on mental health care-oriented practice.

    Eugenics as a cultural and historical context for social work with the familyThe social discourse on the use of knowledge in the field of genetic research involving both supporters as well as opponents. First, pointing to the medical aspects, emphasize new possibilities for prevention and treatment of diseases. Others warn against the temptation associated with the manipulation of human nature through sex selection, genetic features children or patching or muscles. As stated Marek Drwięga the problem (and the related moral dilemmas) occurs when - instead of the treatment of diseases - people use gene therapy to "improve their physical and mental faculties" to the consequences "as a unit better to" find themselves "above norm ". The variety of positions and the lack of clarity in the expression of individual opinion partly due to the fact that technological progress is much faster than moral reflection. This leads - according to Michael Sandel - a situation in which people express their concern about reaching into the language of autonomy, justice and individual rights. Unfortunately, this "moral" vision of the world does not bring relief to people and does not release them from anxiety, as they continue to answer the fundamental questions concerning, inter alia, the design of children or human cloning remain open. In the context of genetic engineering and biotechnology is increasingly appearing concept of eugenics - invented in the nineteenth century by Francis Galton and meaning "well-born" - which is the "gate" to the in-vitro procedure. In today's world, where thanks to advanced technologies dominate pleasure, convenience and comfort, eugenics may be manipulating the eternal laws of nature in order to "breed a man without any dysfunction and deficits, or to bring into being an artificial being, human-like in appearance only, and characterized by excellent physical and mental efficiency." The purpose of our article is, therefore, a reflection on the risks associated with the formation of new sources of inequality and identity wounds, which is particularly important in the field of contemporary social work with the family.

    The aim of the article is to present the issue of educational work carried out in a spirit of axiological education in the former Krakow ghetto and the former labor and concentration camp Plaszow in Kraków. The significance of the activities consists of the acquisition of knowledge about the difficult local history of the Holocaust and its heritage by confrontation with the ghetto and the former camp and relics of the past. The key area for dealing with the issues of harm, responsibility and awakening is social work, which in its axiological aspect largely focuses on reflection on the theory and practice relating to the complex issue of responsibility. These activities not only stimulate the historical awareness of totalitarianisms and the memory of them in the social and moral dimension, but also and most importantly they are a precondition for the mental health and moral development of a person, family, group, and social community.

W program kształcenia pracowników socjalnych w Instytucie Socjologii Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego w Krakowie włączona została przestrzeń Szpitala Klinicznego w krakowskim Kobierzynie, gdzie we współpracy z Instytutem Terapii i Edukacji Społecznej – Stowarzyszenie realizowany jest projekt edukacyjny pod nazwą Spacer Aksjologiczny w Kobierzynie. Artykuł oparty jest na refleksji nad edukacją aksjologiczną w świetle ewaluacji wspomnianego projektu.

    In the education of social workers, it is particularly important to seek working methods that provide to experience values which define the foundations of professional action. The authors of the article approve the personalistic philosophy as a theoretical basis of educational work, the practice of which is based on the cooperation of academic staff and students, striving for partnership, open dialogue and experiencing personal subjectivity. Nevertheless, the essence of the issue is to search for the content of education, which refers not only to contemporary social issues, but also to their historical conditions and correlates. The context for the article is a reflection on the history of 20th century eugenics, with particular emphasis on the extermination of nearly a quarter of a million people with mental illness and disabilities performed by the German Nazi. It is difficult, without studying the times in which the history derailed, to fully understand the social responsibility of people who are particularly vulnerable and exposed to social non-recognition and damage. The curriculum of social workers’ education at the Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow has included the space of the Clinical Hospital in Krakow's Kobierzyn, where, in cooperation with the Institute of Therapy and Social Education - the Association, an educational project under the name of Axiological Walk in Kobierzyn is being implemented. The article is based on reflection on axiological education in the light of evaluation of the aforementioned project.
