Opis:: The article discusses the continuous process of preparing the youth for marriage and family life, occurring in three stages: remote, proximate and immediate. Remote preparation commences already in childhood and hinges on gaining suitable knowledge and desirable attitudes towards marriage and family life. Proximate preparation covers high-school students and constitutes a kind of pre-marital catechesis, realized both in the school and parish. Immediate preparation is addressed chiefly to future married couples who are only several months from concluding marriage and establishing a family. Thorough preparation at the three stages influences not only the condition of the modern family but also future of the Church and all human beings.

Opis:: Currently, when attempts are made in various ways to weaken the family unit through the promotion of so-called open relationships, divorce and through the legalisation of homosexual partnerships, it seems that care and protection of the family unit is much more of a necessity now than in the past. That is why Pope John Paul II stated in apostolic exhortation Familiaris consortio, that care for the family should be the principal pastoral mission of the Church. Everybody, especially priests and all lay people should take all opportunities and make every effort to help married couples and families in fulfilling their basic duties. The article is devoted to tasks of family pastoral care. They are: defense of human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death; preparation for marriage and life in family; help the family and especially young married couples; family counseling; pastoral care of families that are in difficult and abnormal situations. „The Church's pastoral action must be progressive in the sense that it must follow the family, accompanying it step by step in the different stages of its formation and development” (FC 65).

In the space reality as we know it today, intense investment processes prevail. This pressure, exerted specifically on the areas surrounding cities and attractive natural areas, poses a considerable threat which often results in degradation of the quality of the landscape. The characteristic features contributing to a venue’s distinctiveness (identity) are irrevocably lost. Landscape protection and landscaping should therefore be among the priorities of the process of spatial planning and space management. This article focuses on the regional aspect of a landscape analysis; it draws on information included in the Study of landscape protection in the Poznań Metropolitan Area as developed by the Wielkopolska Spatial Planning Office in Poznań. In this article we present a method of delimiting landscape units and a typological division of the landscape.

Opis:: The introduction of a simulator of Police actions in crisis situations to police training of command skills made it necessary to know the ongoing relationship between training on the simulator and the actual actions of the Police. Visualisation of the effects of decisions taken by commanders in a virtual simulation environment, ending in most cases in the escalation of the threat, trigger off analytic mechanisms and awareness of responsibility for the life and health of people and the officers carrying out commands issued by commanders and other persons taking part in the simulation. Simulation training provides the opportunity to observe the ongoing relationship between cells of the command structure adopted by commanders, depicting among others, the sources of errors and threats of destabilisation of commanding process. There are various scenarios that are possible to play including elements such as: police riot, crowd aggression level, and weather conditions. Based on the feedback from simulation training participants, who are mostly those responsible for commanding processes while performing daily duties, it is reasonable to say that the training conducted on the Police simulator in crisis situations allows the commanding skills and abilities to be significantly shaped. What is more, as the simulator is a universal tool, it enables cooperation training to be conducted with non-police entities, the fire brigade, medical emergency, city guard, and crisis management teams.

Opis:: This article concerns the issue of thermal degradation process of fuels, important from the perspective of the operation of turbine engines, especially in the context of new fuels/bio-fuels and their implementation. The studies of the kerosenebased jet fuel (Jet A-1) and its blends with synthetic components manufactured according to HEFA and ATJ technology, were presented. Both technologies are currently approved by ASTM D7566 to produce components to be added to turbine fuels. Test rig investigations were carried out according to specific methodology which reflects the phenomena taking place in fuel systems of turbine engines. The mechanism of thermal degradation process was assessed on the basis of test results for selected properties, IR spectroscopy and calculation of activation energy. The results show that with the increase of the applied temperature there is an increment of the content of solid contaminants, water and acid for all tested fuels. Thermal degradation process is different for conventional jet fuel when compared to blends, but also semi-synthetic fuels distinguished by different thermal stability depending on a given manufacturing technology.
