Opis:: Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) fruit are an important source of nutritional elements to people in Saudi Arabia. In this study dates fruit samples from the type Segae were collected . Washed and unwashed samples were analyzed for macro and micro-elements using flame photometry inductivity coupled plasma and atomic absorption. The study revealed that the dates have considerable contents of Fe and Mn which are important to human health . The content of trace elements that can be toxic like As, Cd, Ni and Bi was found to be less in washed samples compared to unwashed samples. The study recommends the incorporation of date fruits in the food menu.

Opis:: In this study the predictions and probabilities of calcium carbonate scale formation and corrosion occurrence inside Gumry Field Process Facilities (GFPF) and produced water injection process units (PWTP) was carried out. This was done calculating the Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), Ryznar Stability Index (RSI), Puckorius Scaling Index (PSI). The samples results for LSI index and PSI index were compared and found that all samples under threaten of calcium carbonate scale. The samples results for RSI index and found that all samples under formation of heavy calcium carbonate scale. Special excel computer program was designed to calculate the (LSI, RSI, PSI). The scale was cleaned and removed by 10 % diluted hydrochloric acid and commercial scale inhibitor.

Opis:: The interval function and the induced path function are two well studied class of set functions of a connected graph having interesting properties and applications to convexity, metric graph theory. Both these functions can be framed as special instances of a general set function termed as a transit function defined on the Cartesian product of a non-empty set V to the power set of V satisfying the expansive, symmetric and idempotent axioms. In this paper, we propose a set of independent first order betweenness axioms on an arbitrary transit function and provide characterization of the interval function of Ptolemaic graphs and the induced path function of chordal graphs in terms of an arbitrary transit function. This in turn gives new characterizations of the Ptolemaic and chordal graphs.

Opis:: In this paper, we have carried out the simulative analysis for averaging out the optimal value of RIN for better performance in high bit rate optical transmission link. We have found that for single mode VCSEL, the bias of 2 mA has the highest Spurious Free Dynamic Range (SFDR) and low RIN. For multimode VCSEL, the bias of 6 mA has the highest SFDR and low RIN.

Opis:: The main goal of this study is to carry out the public exposure contribution from radioactive materials occurring due to the accident of natural gas exploration well of Sylhet division in Bangladesh. This study has been performed by using a gamma spectrometry of Genie 2000 software embedded PC-based High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detector system. The measured activity concentrations of naturally occurring radionuclides 232Th, 226Ra, and 40K have been in the public safety limit on the environment of the study areas. The specific activity of detected anthropogenic radionuclide 137Cs has been found to be very little with a mean value of 1.65 ± 0.61 and 1.13 ± 0.57 Bq•kg–1 in the Magurchhera and Haripur gas field area respectively.
