    The subject of the considerations is the free-time educational activity of the protagonists of Sergey Kuznetsov’s novel, which can be considered as an example of both scientific and developmental tutoring. The writer, using the genre of the family saga, through the fate of Vladimir, Valery and Andrei, shows one hundred years from the history of Russia in the context of the influence of politics on an individual’s life. Fear of power, rebellion against it, or, finally, disappointment with the current social situation become an incentive for the characters to seek alternative forms of fulfillment. Tutoring is therefore a form of escapism from reality, and its implementation reflects the spirit of the times in which the Dymovs live.

    This paper examines Russia’s “next” generation and its expressions of anti-consu- merist protest, which stem from a fascination with the american beat Generation. Criticism of the consumerist lifestyle prompts the protagonists of bogatyreva’s prose to seek an alternative, especially through hitchhiking, which provides the opportunity to become closer to oneself and others. Communion with nature and a turn towards Eastern Mysticism become important elements of these new styles of existence. The nature of the rebellion of the “next” generation is primarily psy- chological, with an emphasis on expanding one’s own awareness, as well as social, underpinned by the dream of creating a society based on anti-capitalist ideals.
    Предметом анализа в предлагаемой статье является протестное отношение поколения next к действительности, базирующей на идеях потребления. Контекстом для оспаривающих тенденций является американская субкультура битников. Критическое отношение к консьюмеризму приводит молодых людей к поискам альтернативного стиля жизни — прежде всего он сводится к бродяжничеству как возможности познания собственного «я» и другого человека. Важной составляющей альтернативных форм экзистенции является контакт с природой и обращение к восточному мистицизму. Бунт молодого поколения имеет прежде всего психологический (расширение собственного сознания) и социальный (изменение социальных идеалов) характер.

    The paper analyses Irina Mamayeva’s short stories and tales that show the life in Russian rural areas during a dozen or so years following perestroika, and point out its influence on both individual life and that of a village community as a group. The picture of the rural areas in the 1990s and at the beginning of the 21st century is pessimistic, filled with images of dilapidating houses, companies being shut down, lack of transport connections. This material destruction is accompanied by the spiritual degradation of the inhabitants: poverty, unemployment, mutual aggression and the feeling of being abandoned by the previous system.

    The text aims at presenting the discussion and evaluation of Grigorij Czuchraj’s films, the creator of the new wave in the Soviet cinema, as conducted by Polish film critics. The artist’s films have received numerous reviews and comments both in specialist and popular press, as well as on the Internet. The younger generation have been able to get acquainted with Czuchraj’s films thanks to the DVD collection. The criticism points out the importance of the director in Polish-Russian cultural relationships, and describes the way his works have been perceived by Polish viewers.

    Amiradżibi-Stawińska (1932–2017), a director born in Tbilisi, was educated in Moscow Film Institute. She came to Poland with her first husband, Jerzy Ziarnik, where she made a dozen or so documentaries and feature films. However, she reached the peak of her career when she was married to her second husband – a screenwriter and director, Jerzy Stefan Stawiński. In Poland, Amiradżi-bi-Stawińska published three memoirs: Słodkie życie księżniczki (1996), Książka antykucharska(2007) and Moja filmowa Moskwa. Białym pociągiem dookoła wódki... i nie tylko (2011), where we can find many interesting comments on life in Georgia, Russia and Poland in the 30s–70s in the 20thcentury. The text concentrates on the subject of film that is present in all her books, which shows cultural relationships and habits of the artistic circles in those years and in each of the three coun-tries. In the memoirs we can see the director’s artistic path against the background of the turbulent events of the 20th century; they are also a source of information about important figures in the film industry in Georgia, Russia and Poland.

В статье рассматривается поведение бабушки герoя, которя системой запретов и распоряжений манипулирует мальчиком и его матерью и препятствует в гармоническом развитии личности своего внука.Liliana KalitaBURY ME BEHIND THE BASEBOARD BY PAVEL SANAYEV AS AN ARTISTIC ILLUSTRATION OF THE MUNCHAUSEN SYNDROME BY PROXY Summary The paper presents the psychical disorder, from which suffers Nina Antonovna, grand-mother of an eight-year-old boy. Young Sasha Savelev is the main character and the narrator of Sanayev’s novel. Munchausen syndrome by proxy is a disorder in which a person deli-berately causes injury or illness to his or her own child, usually to gain attention or some other benefi t. The motivation is to assume the sick role by proxy. The article shows the mechanisms and causes of this disorder.

    This paper presents Stanisław Mikulski’s (one of the most popular Polish actors) relations with Russia. These include, among many others, his work as a young actor in the plays written by Russian writers and playwrights, which were staged in the Juliusz Osterwa Theatre in Lublin, his most famous role as a Russian secret agent – codename J-23 – both in television theatre and the TV series More Than Life at Stake (Stawka większa niż życie), and his participation in six Russian films. Moreover, Mikulski worked as the director in the Centre of Information and Polish Culture in Moscow, thus contributing to Polish-Russian cultural relations.

    Данная статья посвящена выявлению значения одежды в контексте изменений главного героя – современного артиста. В своем произведении Геласимов изображает человека, потерявшего жизненные ориентиры, и помещает его в экстремальные условия, заставляя заново пересмотреть свою жизнь. Значимой составляющей трансформации героя является внешнее преображение: он постепенно теряет черты человека Запада и приобретает облик россиянина, который ничем не отличается от окружающих людей. Эта перемена свидетельствует о том, что герой созревает к подвигу, который в финале романа совершает.
    Gelasimov – a representative of contemporary Russian prose – chose for the hero of his novel Cold an artist lost in the world of media expectations. Confronted with extreme weather conditions, the hero tries to cope with his own past, which is portrayed through changes in his looks. The text analyses the stages of this transformation, stressing that modifications in the attire – from the western kind, unsuitable for the climatic conditions, to the one typical for local Russian culture – reflect the process of the hero’s maturation and self-acceptance.
    Tekst podejmuje problematykę znaczenia motywu odzieży w transformacji głownego bohatera utworu A. Giełasimowa pt. Холод. Nosicielem idei utworu jest artysta - rezyser teatralny i filmowy, zagubiony we współczesnym świecie, którego los stawia w sytuacji granicznej każąc mu przemyślec dotychczasowe wybory życiowe. Elelemntem znaczącycm procesu transformacji bohatera staje się przeobrazenie zewnętrzne - Filippow stopniowo traci wygląd i cechy człowieka Zachodu, by ostatecznie zaadaptować się całkowicie do sposobu ubierania się Rosjan - mieszkańców przestrzeni, w której toczy się akcja utworu. Przemina ta jest sygnałem dojrzewania bohatera do humanitarnego czynu, który dokonuje się w finale powieści.
