Opis:
Anharmonic properties of 16 alkali halides and 4 alkali cyanides are investigated using long-range Coulomb and short-range Born-Mayer potentials starting from the nearest-neighbour distance and repulsive parameter. This study includes the prediction of second, third and fourth order elastic constants, the pressure derivatives of second and third order elastic constants and partial contractions at elevated temperatures. The results obtained in present investigations are in reasonable agreement compared with experimental studies.

Opis:
Corporate Governance (CG) in India has undergone major transformation in the recent past with the enactment of Companies Act, 2013 and revision of SEBI’s Listing Agreement. Though some studies were undertaken in the Indian context few conventional aspects of CG have been repetitively addressed with conflicting results. The aim of this study is to examine the impact of some prominent CG attributes such as board size, board independence, role duality, board’s gender diversity, ownership concentration and audit committee independence on both market as well as account- ing based measures of firm performance (FP). To this end the study uses a sample of top 100 non-financial and non-utility firms listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) for the period of 2014-2018 and employs two stage least square with instrumen- tal variables technique of estimation which takes into account potential endogeneity in CG-FP relationship. The findings reveal a significant positive impact of board size, ownership concentration and audit committee independence on market based meas- ure of FP while board independence is found to have a significant negative impact on accounting based measure of FP. Moreover role duality and gender diversity are not associated with FP. The outcome of this study highlights how the relationship between CG and FP works in the unique institutional setting of India and it should be of inter- est to regulators, practitioners and other market participants.

Annotated checklist of Mygalomorphae so far recorded from different states and union territories of India reveal that a total of 111 species under 32 genera belonging eight families are distributed over 17 states and two union territories. The review cleared that diversity of the primitive spider fauna is maximum in Tamil Nadu followed by Kerala, West Bengal and Karnataka and they are distributed maximally along the coastal states excepting Karnataka. Western Ghats Biodiversity hotspot is the house of the fauna. There is nearly 72 % local endemism.

Annotated checklist of Lycosoidea so far recorded from different states and union territories of India reveals a total of 251 species under 38 genera belonging five families. The review cleared that diversity of lycosoid spider fauna is maximum in West Bengal followed by Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and they are not distributed maximally in the states and union territories within Biodiversity hotspots. This fauna is distributed all over the country. There is nearly 69.35% endemism (in context of India).

Opis:
Cloud computing has emerged as a significant technology domain, primarily due to the emergence of big data, machine learning, and quantum computing applications. While earlier, cloud computing services were focused mainly on providing storage and some infrastructures/ platforms for applications, the need to advance computational power analysis of massive datasets. It has made cloud computing almost inevitable from most client-based applications, mobile applications, or web applications. The allied challenge to protect data shared from and to cloud-based platforms has cropped up with the necessity to access public clouds. While conventional cryptographic algorithms have been used for securing and authenticating cloud data, advancements in cryptanalysis and access to faster computation have led to possible threats to the traditional security of cloud mechanisms. This has led to extensive research in homomorphic encryption pertaining to cloud security. In this paper, a security mechanism is designed targeted towards dynamic groups using public clouds. Cloud security mechanisms generally face a significant challenge in terms of overhead, throughput, and execution time to encrypt data from dynamic groups with frequent member addition and removal. A two-stage homomorphic encryption process is proposed for data security in this paper. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated in terms of the salient cryptographic metrics, which are the avalanche effect, throughput, and execution time. A comparative analysis with conventional cryptographic algorithms shows that the proposed system outperforms them regarding the cryptographic performance metrics.

Opis:
Due to recent developments in the field of high-power and medium-voltage, the multilevel inverter has raised to such an extent owing to some of its amazing facts regarding harmonic spectrum, ease in control, reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI), filterless circuit, stress on power switches, common-mode voltage. This paper well describes a novel architecture of a single-phase multilevel inverter using a lesser number of overall components, especially the power switches. The proposed topology is generalized in the structure that can generate any number of voltage steps. A 7-level structure of the proposed topology is explained and is elaborately discussed. Simulation is carried out in MATLAB and corresponding experimental results verify the existence of the proposed multilevel inverter. The real-time experimental results were presented and are well verified by the simulation results for 7-level as well for 13-level across RL-Load. The nature of load current is also indicated as per the nature of load voltage. Nevertheless, the topology is further compared with some of the recent literature and found superior in each respect.
