    Opis:
    Vedecká štúdia prináša výsledky návrhu rozšírenia obsahového zamerania bezpečnostného vzdelávania na ZŠ pre ochranu detí. Moderné a sofistikované metódy porušovania bezpečnostných pravidiel posunuli bezpečnostné vzdelávanie ešte viac do popredia záujmu verejnosti. To si vyžaduje neustálu analýzu zaistenia bezpečnosti detí aj v prostredí základných škôl a hľadanie nových možností ich ochrany pre ohrozeniami rôzneho druhu a spôsobu. Vychádzajúc z cieľa bezpečnostného vzdelávania v prostredí základných škôl boli v štúdii stanovené kompetencie (spôsobilosti) bezpečnostného konania a správania a v bežných i krízových situáciách absolventa bezpečnostného vzdelávania na základnej škole. Návrh vychádza práve zo stanovených kompetencií. V návrhu sú zároveň analyzované súčasné problémy, ktoré sú dôsledkom neustále sa meniacich spoločenských potrieb, ako aj rýchleho rozvoja vedy a techniky, najmä moderných masovo-komunikačných prostriedkov.
    The scientific study presents the proposal of extension of curriculum focused on security education for primary schools to children protection. Modern and sophisticated methods violation of safety rules, safety education moved even more to the forefront of the public interest. It requires continual analysis of ensuring the safety of children in the primary schools too and looking for new possibilities for protection against threats of various kinds and manner. The aim of security education determines competencies of security activity and behaviour in normal and emergency situations of school leavers. Proposal is based on these defined competencies. The proposal also includes an analysis of current problems, which are the consequences of constantly changing social needs, as well as the rapid development of science and technology, especially modern mass-communication.

    The study discusses further security education in Slovakia, which is part of lifelong learning. Within the framework of this security education the participant can complement, extend and deepen the knowledge acquired, to retrain or satisfy their interests. Security education is the analytical work aimed at averting or minimizing the security risks of different forms and causes to individuals and to society as a whole.

    Civil defence education in Czechoslovakia was one of the elements of education and the creation of conditions for every citizen to be physically and mentally capable and willing to fulfil his or her duties related to homeland defence. The aim of the paper is to examine the basic approaches to the implementation of military defence training as one of the basic elements of civil defence education in Czechoslovakia in the period from 1918 to 1989. The historical-comparative analysis is used as a method for researching military defence training issues. This method is treated as a qualitative research tool. The individual elements that military defence training included, such as exercising in nature, field orientation practice, and marching exercises are characterized. In military defence training in Czechoslovakia, emphasis was simultaneously placed on enabling children to be in touch with nature, to toughen them up and to train their observation skills. The training was an organizational form of school civil defence education. Its main aim was to train and prepare individuals, as well as schools as wholes, for emergencies.

    Spatial analyses represent a precondition to understanding phenomena and their dynamics as well as the analysis of relations. Worldwide, spatial investigation of crime rates is not a novelty and the results are being actively used in the field of planning preventive activities as well as to present the results of mapping on web portals for the purposes of informing the public. In Slovakia, the crime rates are presumably observed on the level of districts and counties and based on these data, crime rate maps have been created since 2013. On the level of cities and municipalities, the punctuality of crime rate investigation is dependent upon the municipalities as such. Spatial investigation of crime rates is realized only within the range of research projects, namely in the cities of Prešov and Košice. In Košice, crime rates have been spatially investigated since 2013 and despite arguable results with the possibility of them being practically used, spatial investigation in Slovakia has not spread to other cities. One of the reasons is represented by the necessity of being acknowledged with geographical information systems and having sufficient knowledge in the field of rudiments of working with mapping outputs. One of the options in terms of how to fill in the gap is extending the security education in Slovakia and presenting the options the results of analyses might provide in relation to the practice.

Project method of teaching encourages individual activity, creativity, mutual communication, responsibility and the ability to incorporate the issue into different areas

    The work of fire departments is influenced by various factors that bring risks. The security of fire fighters is the most important thing when performing their job. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure their security by identifying risks and eliminating them in advance. Virtual reality resources help to increase the safety of firefighters during professional training activities. These activities are conducted with the usage of simulators, practical exercises and simulations; however, these exercises can only partly get them closer to reality. We claim that virtual reality is a huge aid for firefighters, and that by using this tool, efficient protection of life and health as well as property can be provided. The submitted article discusses the current state of virtual reality resources and their use in the professional training of fire brigades and rescue units. It also discusses the benefits of virtual reality use.

    Modern age is associated with massive deployment of information technology in businesses that are forced to work with a wealth of data and information. Businesses are trying to make the most effective use of knowledge not only from real data, but they often have to rely on their employees' knowledge. Increasing fluctuation of employees and the resulting outflow of knowledge will force businesses to increasingly make use of knowledge management. The article describes the process of looking for the context and the implications of selecting contracts to transform them into information and knowledge on the example of a real business. The verified process is transformed into a design of knowledge system, which results in the recommended generated rule for selecting sales department orders to ensure profitability for the business.

    The municipalities in Slovakia have a duty to separate biodegradable municipal waste (BDMW) from family houses. This duty can be achieved by home composting or by collection of green waste in bio-bins, which are regularly emptied by a collection company. The collected waste is recycled in a composting plant. The conducted research was focused on identifying the composition of the collected green waste and comparing the environmental behaviour of residents in villages and towns. The analyses conducted showed that the separated BDMW from the urban population has a higher rate of contamination, but a lower rate of compostable kitchen waste compared to the residents in villages.

    Research background: Deep and machine learning-based algorithms can assist in COVID-19 image-based medical diagnosis and symptom tracing, optimize intensive care unit admission, and use clinical data to determine patient prioritization and mortality risk, being pivotal in qualitative care provision, reducing medical errors, and increasing patient survival rates, thus diminishing the massive healthcare system burden in relation to severe COVID-19 inpatient stay duration, while increasing operational costs throughout the organizational management of hospitals. Data-driven financial and scenario-based contingency planning, predictive modelling tools, and risk pooling mechanisms should be deployed for additional medical equipment and unforeseen healthcare demand expenses. Purpose of the article: We show that deep and machine learning-based and clinical decision making systems can optimize patient survival likelihood and treatment outcomes with regard to susceptible, infected, and recovered individuals, performing accurate analyses by data modeling based on vital and clinical signs, surveillance data, and infection-related biomarkers, and furthering hospital facility optimization in terms of intensive care unit bed allocation. Methods: The review software systems employed for article screening and quality evaluation were: AMSTAR, AXIS, DistillerSR, Eppi-Reviewer, MMAT, PICO Portal, Rayyan, ROBIS, and SRDR. Findings & value added: Deep and machine learning-based clinical decision support tools can forecast COVID-19 spread, confirmed cases, and infection and mortality rates for data-driven appropriate treatment and resource allocations in effective therapeutic and diagnosis protocol development, by determining suitable measures and regulations and by using symptoms and comorbidities, vital signs, clinical and laboratory data and medical records across intensive care units, impacting the healthcare financing infrastructure. As a result of heightened use of personal protective equipment, hospital pharmacy and medication, outpatient treatment, and medical supplies, revenue loss and financial vulnerability occur, also due to expenses related to hiring additional staff and to critical resource expenditures. Hospital costs for COVID-19 medical care, screening, treatment capacity expansion, and personal protective equipment can lead to further financial losses while affecting COVID-19 frontline hospital workers and patients.
