Underground laboratories provide a unique environment for various industries and are the perfect place for developing new technologies for mining, geophysical surveys, radiation detection as well as many other studies and measurements. Unfortunately working in underground excavations is associated with exposure to many hazards not encountered in the laboratories located on the surface. Water inflow, gas burst, roof fall and even seismic hazards translate into high accident rates in the underground mining industry across the globe. Therefore, to minimise the risk of serious accidents, a lot of research investigations related to the development of effective risk assessment procedures are being carried out. One of the initiatives aimed at improving the work safety in underground laboratories in the Baltic Sea Innovation Network project implemented under the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme. This study presents the process of compiling a database on hazards within underground laboratories. Finally, a proposal of unification of the procedure for risk assessment, including methods for determining the likelihood and potential impact of unwanted events has been developed.

The aim of this article is to outline a new research perspective, allowing for an in-depth reflection on the condition of contemporary marriages and families. Of course, the problem itself is not new, but in order to analyse it, we propose to adopt a perspective which has not been present in the literature so far and which will consist in analysing the condition of the institution of marriage through the prism of the process of declaring a marriage null and void, i.e., the canonical procedure in force in the Catholic Church. The proposed research perspective is based on an interdisciplinary approach, taking into account the broad context in which, in our opinion, the functioning of the contemporary institution of marriage should be considered. In this approach we try to integrate sociological and demographic premises and inspirations with legal, theological and canonical premises, which is a significant novelty. The integration of these approaches will make it possible to consider the problem of the break-up of the marital bond in a different way than has been presented so far. Thanks to this, it is possible to make a comprehensive diagnosis of the situation of marriages in moments of crisis and to capture those aspects of spiritual and social life which have not yet been taken into account in the research, and which play a particularly important role in initiating proceedings to declare a marriage null and void.

In dem Beitrag werden Profile des Forschungs- und Lehrpersonals vorgestellt, die zur wissenschaftlichen und didaktischen Entwicklung des Lehrstuhls für frühkindliche Bildung und Medienpädagogik der Schlesischen Universität in Katowice wesentlich beigetragen haben. Während seiner vierzigjährigen Tätigkeit arbeitete der Lehrstuhl mit vielen herausragenden Wissenschaftlern aus regionalen, inländischen und ausländischen akademischen Zentren zusammen. Derzeit betreibt er ein intensives Forschungsprogramm, unterrichtet Studenten im Lehrerberuf und nimmt an Promotionen zum Doktor und habilitierten Doktor teil.

Badanie kondycji małżeństw oraz przyczyn nieudanych związków małżeńskich poprzez analizę pobudek wnoszenia pozwów o orzeczenie nieważności małżeństwa stanowi novum w literaturze przedmiotu. Artykuł zawiera prezentację wyników takich właśnie badań przeprowadzonych przez autorów. Wykazano, że pobudki te są w znacznym stopniu zależne od płci badanych.
The study of the condition of marriages and reasons for failed marriages by analyzing the motives for bringing annulment actions is a novelty in the literature. The paper presents the results of such research conducted by the authors. These motives are significantly dependent on the gender of the respondents, which was shown.

Badanie kondycji małżeństwa i rodziny jest ważnym zadaniem nauki. Wyniki tych badań mogą mieć bowiem mieć wielkie znaczenie dla kierunku i kształtu działań podejmowanych przez władze świeckie i kościelne w celu ochrony i dla rozwoju społeczeństwa. Artykuł ten przedstawia wyniki badań nad współczesnym małżeństwem i rodziną w Polsce. W tych badaniach zastosowano nowatorską metodę polegającej na uzyskaniu danych odnośnie małżeństw w wyniku badań ilościowych i jakościowych, przeprowadzonych wśród osób, które zdecydowały się na orzeczenie nieważności małżeństwa w Kościele katolickim.
The study of the condition of marriage and family is an essential task of science. This is because the results of this research can be of great importance for the direction and shape of actions taken by secular and Church authorities to protect and for the development of society. This article presents the results of research on contemporary marriage and family in Poland. This research uses an innovative method of obtaining data on marriages as a result of quantitative and qualitative surveys conducted among people who have decided to obtain a declaration of nullity of their marriage in the Catholic Church.

Niniejsze opracowanie jest próbą zwrócenia uwagi na trudności występujące w procesie nauczania informatyki. Młodzież w newralgicznym momencie, kiedy potrzebne jest porzucenie prostych aplikacji i rozpatrywanie problemów na poziomie wymagającym abstrakcyjnego, twórczego myślenia, traci zainteresowanie przedmiotem i łatwo się zniechęca. Problem taki jest zauważalny, zwłaszcza na lekcjach informatyki w szkołach średnich, kiedy rozpoczynamy zajęcia z podstaw algorytmiki i programowania. Wprowadzenie aplikacji technologii Flash w procesie nauczania ułatwiłoby płynne przejście od grafiki i aplikacji webowych poprzez język ActionScript, posiadający ogromne możliwości, do programowania w językach C++ czy Turbo Pascal. Możliwość prostego sterowania obiektami w języku ActionScript, połączona z efektownymi możliwościami ich wizualizacji, daje szansę inspirowania wiedzą podczas omawiania podstawowych algorytmów. Finalnie przyszli programiści stając przed rzeczywistymi wymaganiami klientów, możliwościami takiej czy innej technologii, a w końcu kodem źródłowym aplikacji, dysponować będą elastycznym podejściem w rozwiązywaniu problemów i ich wizualizacji, co ważne jest zwłaszcza w pracy zespołowej.
This case study attempts to highlight the difficulties experienced in teaching information technology. In the key moment, when it is necessary to employ abstract and creative thinking, pupils, who are used to using simple applications, become disinterested in the subject. This problem is particularly prominent in the secondary schools when the concepts of programming and algorithm design are first introduced. Introducing Adobe Flash applications in the schools’ curriculum would ease transition from graphical and web applications through ActionScript, and ultimately lead to programming in C++, or Turbo Pascal. The ActionScript’s capability to manipulate objects, together with the ease of their visualisation, gives the ability to enthuse and inspire whilst demonstrating basic algorithms. Ultimately, future programmers, facing customer requirements, new technologies and application source code, will have at their disposal a flexible approach to problem visualisation and its potential solutions, both of these abilities are extremely important particularly whilst working within a team.

The computer aided 3D visualisation and computer graphic is presently one of the most im-portant skills of designers. Due to the complexity of the modelling process as well as its appeal and expressiveness, this essay considers the question of real realisation task of spatial modelling and computer graphics in the learning curriculum of the secondary schools'.

W pierwszej części opracowania podjęte zostały rozważania odnośnie do umiejscowienia mediów telematycznych, a w ślad za tym – dydaktycznych gier komputerowych w stosunku do psychologii behawioralnej i kognitywnej. Finalna część opisuje praktyczną realizację interaktywnej symulacji działania kolektora słonecznego, zrealizowanego za pomocą programu Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, jako przykład symulatora będącego rodzajem gry dydaktycznej. Sama zaś komputerowa gra dydaktyczna ze względu na swoje walory została ukazana jako nieoceniony środek w procesie dydaktycznym.
The first part of this chapter aims to analyse the reference to telematic communication and didactic games in behavioral and cognitive psychology. The final part describes the process of implementation of an interactive simulation of a solar heat exchanger, presented using Adobe Flash CS3 Professional, as an example of a didactic game. Taking into account its qualities, the game, has been shown to be an invaluable instrument in the educational process.

During the process of implementing the current complex core curriculum for the subject of information technology in high school, in the rush of classes, it is easy to lose the basic skills that the student was supposed to develop in the subject.
