    Opis:
    Abstract. The question about the ideal shape of liturgical celebration often arises in pastoral discussions. However, the answers resulting from these discussions have been born, not always from reflections which considered both the cultural context and the theological dimension of liturgy. This paper is an attempt to research possible answers to the question about what form of liturgy the Church should celebrate in the contemporary world, a form which would consider our present culture and its modern mentalities without omitting the crucial elements/components of the mystery being celebrated. The discussions in this paper will describe the characteristics of recent times and their influence on ecclesial thought. Only on that landscape will be presented what factors seem to be necessary for today’s liturgical celebrations and what characteristics are inherent in theological content: selflessness, freedom, beauty and vitality.
    Kościół i liturgia we współczesnym świecie  Pytanie o kształt celebracji liturgicznej często powraca w dyskusji pastoralnej. Odpowiedzi, jednak, które prowokuje nie zawsze wynikają z refleksji, która uwzględniałaby zarówno kontekst kulturowy jak i wymiar teologiczny liturgii. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą takiego poszukiwania odpowiedzi na pytanie o liturgię we współczesnym świecie, które uwzględniałoby zarówno aktualną kulturę i właściwą mu mentalność, nie pomijając zarazem tego co istotne dla celebrowanego misterium. Wobec tego, w artykule zostaje zarysowana charakterystyka współczesnej epoki i jej wpływ na myślenie kościelne. Dopiero na tak zarysowanym tle przedstawione jest to co wydaje się być dzisiaj nieodzowne dla celebracji, a co wynika z samej jej treści teologicznej: bezinteresowność, wolność, piękno i witalność.

    The present time of the coronavirus pandemic is a challenge for all humanity. The Church, which lives in the present world, is called to experience the same events with all of humanity, although interpreting them through the lens of faith. One expression of such a reading of events is the liturgy, in which the Church addresses God, telling Him what it experiences and asking His for the appropriate succor in the current situation. Responding to the spiritual needs of the clergy and the faithful, the Holy See’s Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments has released the text of a special Mass, entitled “In Time of Pandemic.” The contents of the prayers contained within it reveal clear theological lines that can help us to live as Christians during this time of trial. This article is an attempt at a hermeneutical reading of the collect of the above-mentioned Mass formula. The analyses that are presented in the text lead to theological conclusions concerning such basic issues such as the image of God, the identity of believers, the content of Christian prayer, and the lifestyle that the latter inspires. In this context, “The Mass in Time of Pandemic” was created. The content of prayers contained in it reveals clear theological lines that can help us to live this time of trial in a Christian way. This article is an attempt of hermeneutical reading of the collect of the Mass mentioned earlier. The analyses that are presented in the text lead to theological conclusions that include basic issues such as the image of God, the identity of believers, the content of Christian prayer and the style of life that it inspires.
    Czas pandemii jest wyzwaniem dla całej ludzkości. Kościół, który żyje w świecie, jest wezwany do tego, aby wraz z całą ludzkością przeżywać te same doświadczenia, odczytując je jednak w świetle wiary. Jedną z form wyrazu takiej lektury wydarzeń jest liturgia, w której Kościół, zwracając się do Boga, opowiada Mu to, czego doświadcza, i prosi o pomoc właściwą dla danej sytuacji. W takim kontekście powstał formularz mszalny na czas pandemii. Treść modlitw w nim zawartych odsłania jasne linie teologiczne, które mogą pomóc przeżywać w chrześcijański sposób ten czas próby. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą hermeneutycznej lektury kolekty wyżej wspomnianego formularza. Analizy, które zostały zaprezentowane w tekście, prowadzą do konkluzji teologicznych, w których zostały ujęte podstawowe zagadnienia takie jak obraz Boga, tożsamość wierzących, treść chrześcijańskiej modlitwy oraz styl życia, który taka modlitwa inspiruje.

    Relacja liturgii i czasu jest głęboko zakorzeniona w naturze celebracji. Liturgia wydarza się w czasie, ale z drugiej strony ma ona zdolność interpretowania czasu i jego percepcji. W świecie, który bywa nazywany epoką prędkości, nie tylko liturgia potrzebuje czasu, ale także czas potrzebuje liturgii. Ta wzajemna relacja między czasem a liturgią jest treścią niniejszego artykułu, prezentując zarówno wymiar antropologiczno-fenomenologiczny jak i teologiczny clebracji liturgicznej oraz jej wkład w kształtowanie doświadczenia czasu.
    The relationship between time and liturgy is profoundly rooted in the nature of celebration itself. Liturgy occurs in time but, on the other hand, it is able to interpret time and its perception. In our world – undeniably an age of speed – it is not only liturgy which needs time: Time needs liturgy as well. It is this reciprocal relationship between time and liturgy which is the focus of this article. It presents both the anthropological-phenomenological and theological dimensions of the liturgical celebration, and liturgy's contribution to shaping the whole experience of time.

    The Sentences of Peter Lombard had a big influence on medieval theological thought. So, Lombard’s definition of the sacrament is not without meaning for theology. This article is an attempt to explain the concept that became a basis of systematisation of the seven sacrament of the Catholic Church. For this reason, the article begins with the historical-cultural context of Lombard’s ideas. On this landscape, the definition of a sacrament is examined, starting with literal analysis along with theological insights. The theological explanations contains a description of sign, causality, similarity and form of sacrament.
    Le Sentenze di Pietro Lombardo influirono molto sul pensiero teologico medievale. Di conseguenza non è priva del significato per la teologia la sua definizione del sacramento, la quale si trova nell’opera principale del autore. Presente articolo è un tentativo di descrivere quella definizione che diede una base per la sistematizzazione e la definizione del settenario dei sacramenti nella Chiesa cattolica. A tale scopo, prima è stato brevemente presentato il contesto storico-culturale del pensiero di Lombardo. Poi, su quello sfondo, è stata presentata la definizione del sacramento nelle Sentenze. Essa è stata sottomessa all’analisi grammatica e successivamente a quella teologica. E questa seconda contiene la descrizione del segno, casualità, somiglianza e forma del sacramento.

    Wydarzenie Pięćdziesiątnicy opisane przez św. Łukasza w Dziejach Apostolskich jest wydarzeniem, które Kościół nieustannie celebruje. Do wyrażenia treści tej tajemnicy w liturgii używa wielu tekstów biblijnych oraz liturgicznych. Ich analiza pozwala odczytać, jak dzisiaj w liturgii Kościół rozumie wydarzenie zesłania Ducha Świętego. Niniejszy artykuł sięga do kilku tekstów mszy wigilii Zesłania Ducha Świętego, aby w ich świetle podjąć liturgiczną lekturę wydarzenia biblijnego opisanego przez św. Łukasza. Janowa perykopa o wodzie żywej (J 7,37-39) zostanie najpierw krótko przeanalizowana pod kątem treści i struktury, po czym odczytana w świetle wersetu allelujatycznego, kolekty oraz antyfony komunijnej. Taka analiza pozwoli uchwycić kilka cech charakterystycznych misterium Pięćdziesiątnicy celebrowanego w aktualnej liturgii Kościoła.
    The event of Pentecost, described by Saint Luke in the Acts of the Apostles, is an event constantly celebrated by the Church. In order to express the content of this mystery, the Church uses many biblical and liturgical texts. The analysis of these allows us to understand how the Church comprehends the event of Pentecost as expressed in the current liturgy. This article goes back to several texts of the Pentecost Vigil Mass and tries to construct, in their light, a liturgical reading of the biblical event described by St. Luke. John’s pericope about living water (Jn 7,37-39) is, first, briefly analysed as to its content and structure, and then it is read in the light of the alleluiatic verse, the collect, and the communion antiphon. Such an analysis allows us to capture several characteristics of the mystery of Pentecost celebrated in the current liturgy of the Church.
