    The article attempts to reconstruct the literary "traces" of the "great lady" of German literature – Ricarda Huch – in the area of the ideas of Mediterranean thoughts as in the example of Italy. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Huch became interested, as a historian and novelist, in the history of the struggles for national liberation in Italy and erected a specific literary monument to the heroes of the Italian risorgimento. Also her personal experiences connected with Italy were found in the social novel Aus der Triumphgasse [From the Avenue of Freedom].
    Artykuł podejmuje próbę rekonstrukcji „śladów“ literackich „wielkiej damy“ literatury niemieckiej – Ricardy Huch – na obszarze idei myśli krajów śródziemnomorskich na przykładzie Włoch. Na przełomie wieków XIX i XX Huch zainteresowała się jako historyk i powieściopisarz historią walk narodowowyzwoleńczych we Włoszech i wystawiła swoisty pomnik literacki bohaterom włoskiego risorgimento. Również przeżycia osobiste związane z Italią, znalazły wydźwięk w powieści społecznej Aus der Triumphgasse [Z alei wolności].

    Der vorliegende Beitrag ist ein Versuch auf die wesentlichen Interessenfelder der frühen Schaffensphase von Ricarda Huch einzugehen. Einen methodologischen Zugriff bildet ihre Biografie sowie ihre geistesgeschichtliche Verankerung in der Epoche der deutschen Frühromantik. Im Sinne der Frühromantiker, vor allem Novalis’, strebte Huch eine Synthese an zwischen den geschichtlich überlieferten Tatsachen und der Vorstellungswelt des dichten-den Künstlers, der mit seiner Dichtkunst ein pädagogisches Ziel verfolgt, dessen oberstes Prinzip das humane Verhalten des Menschen in der Gesellschaft sein soll.
    Artykuł stanowi próbę przedstawienia najistotniejszych cech pisarstwa Ricardy Huch z jej wczesnej fazy twórczości. Z metodologicznego punktu widzenia podstawę do badań stanowią: biografia autorki oraz jej zakorzenienie w historii myśli wczesnego romantyzmu niemieckiego. W myśl wczesnych romantyków, a w szczególności Novalisa, Huch dążyła do swoistej syntezy między faktami historycznymi, a sposobem postrzegania rzeczywistości przez piszącego artystę, który jednocześnie myśląc o jemu współczesnych kieruje się zamysłem pedagogicznym, którego nadrzędnym celem jest przestrzeganie zasad humanitaryzmu w społeczeństwie.
    The article is an attempt to present the most important features of Ricarda Huch’s writing found in the early stage of her literary creativity. From the methodological point of view, the basis for the research are the author’s biography and her inveteracy in the history of early German Romanticism. According to the early romantics, and particularly Novalis, Huch aspired to achieve a kind of synthesis between historical facts and the way of perceiving reality by a writing artist, who, while thinking about his contemporaries, is guided by the pedagogical idea whose primary goal is to observe the principles of humanitarianism in the society.

    Die erste anerkannte Berufsschriftstellerin im deutschsprachigen Raum, promovierte Historikerin, zeitkritische Beobachterin und Literaturhistorikerin Ricarda Huch fühlte sich Zeit ihres Lebens und Schaffens zu den Idealen der deutschen Frühromantik hingezogen. Der folgende Beitrag geht Huchs Auseinandersetzung mit der Romantik in drei Stufen nach. Erstens wird auf Huchs subjektive Annäherung an die Romantik eingegangen. Zweitens folgt die Besprechung einiger Aspekte aus Huchs literatur- und geistesgeschichtlichem Werk über die deutsche Romantik, und drittens wird eine ihrer Erzählungen in den Blick genommen, die unter dem Einfluss der romantischen Kunstideale steht.
    The first recognised professional writer of the German-speaking area, Doctor of History, critical observer of her times and a literature historian Ricarda Hutch was interested in the ideals of (early) German Romanticism throughout her life. This paper presents Huch’s interest in Romanticism in three stages. First, Huch’s subjective rapprochement with Romanticism will be presented. The second theme discussed in the article are some aspects of her literary-intellectual work on German Romanticism. Thirdly, the story of Huch, which was created under the influence of romantic ideals, will be discussed.

    The article presents research that deals with the reception of the work of the German writer, Ricarda Huch, in Germany in 2014 during the jubilee commemorating the 150th anniversary of her birth. A renaissance of Huch's life and work developed during the jubilee year. This renaissance reception is examined in the following categories: conferences and symposiums, lectures, exhibitions of the visual arts, official ceremonies in Thuringia, website created and dedicated to the author's life, work, and her work's reception, publications that mark the scientific culmination of the jubilee year. The result of the many scientific, social, and political initiatives addressed during the year to the various levels and classes of society have shown that the writing of Ricarda Huch is able to inspire the contemporary German reader. In 2017 during the 70th anniversary of the writer's death, a second renaissance is anticipated. Additionally, 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, and Huch makes reference to Martin Luther in her religious and worldview treaties.
    Dieser Beitrag bespricht den Forschungsstand zur Rezeptionsgeschichte des Werks der deutschen Schriftstellerin Ricarda Huch in Deutschland rund um das 150. Geburtsjubiläum der Autorin im Jahr 2014. Eine Renaissance des Lebens und Werkes von Huch kann im Jubiläumsjahr unter folgenden Aspekten betrachtet werden: Konferenzen und Symposien, Vorlesungen, Ausstellungen und Vorführungen, offizielle Feierlichkeiten im Freistaat Thüringen, die Gründung des Ricarda Huch Internet-Portals, welches dem Leben und Werk der Autorin gewidmet ist, sowie Veröffentlichungen, die eine wissenschaftliche Krönung des Jubiläumsjahrs bilden. Die von Wissenschaftlern, von lokal engagierten Personen sowie von kommunalen Institutionen organisierten und für unterschiedliche soziale Gruppen in Deutschland gedachten Initiativen haben gezeigt, dass das schriftstellerische Werk von Ricarda Huch auch den zeitgenössischen deutschen Leser inspirieren kann. Eine erneute Wiederbelebung des Leseinteresses wird im Jahr 2017 erwartet, in dem der 70. Jahrestag des Todes der Schriftstellerin begangen wird sowie das 500. Jubiläum der Reformation, wodurch Huchs Werke zu Martin Luther und anderen religiösen Themen in den Blickpunkt rücken. 
    Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia stan badań nad recepcją twórczości niemieckiej pisarki Ricardy Huch w Niemczech wokół jubileuszu 150. rocznicy jej urodzin w 2014 roku. Renesans recepcji życia i twórczości Huch w roku jubileuszowym można rozpatrywać w następujących kategoriach: konferencje i sympozja, odczyty, wystawy i wizualizacje, oficjalne uroczystości w Turyngii, utworzenie strony internetowej poświęconej życiu, twórczo-ści i recepcji dzieła autorki oraz publikacje będące zwieńczeniem naukowym roku jubileuszowego. Inicjatywy podjęte przez naukowców, społeczników i lokalne instytucje samorządowe skierowane do różnych grup społecznych w Niemczech pokazały, że twórczość pisarska Ricardy Huch może zainspirować współczesnego niemieckiego czytelnika. Kolejnego renesansu poczytności dzieł można spodziewać się w roku 2017, w którym przypada 70. rocznica śmierci pisarki oraz 500. rocznica reformacji, której Huch poświęciła rozprawy religijno-światopoglądowe nawiązujące do postaci Marcina Lutra.

    The following article presents the state of research on the reception of the work of the Ger-man female writer Ricarda Huch in Poland. The reception of her work in our country can be examined while analysing: the articles published in the form of a book, biograms printed in lexicons and encyclopaedias, presentation of Hutch’s literary work in studies concerning the history of German literature, translations of her poems, the translation of the novel Erinnerungen von Ludolf Ursleu, dem Jüngeren [Memories of Ludolf Ursleu Junior], the award of the prize of Ricarda Huch of Darmstadt town to the Polish writer Hanna Krall, and also the project of the students of German Studies at the University of Opole which propagates the work of R. Huch. Insofar as Ricarda Huch’s output was noted by the Polish researchers of the German literature what is evidenced by the papers dedicated to her literary legacy, still there is no reliable scientific study both on the German and Polish publishing market which wouldembrace comprehensively very diverse Huch’s output and base it in the aesthetic-literary, historical, social and political context.
    Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia stan badań nad recepcją twórczości niemieckiej pisarki Ricardy Huch w Polsce. Recepcję jej twórczości w naszym kraju można rozpatrywać, analizując artykuły opublikowane w dziełach zwartych, biogramy zamieszczone w leksykonach i encyklopediach, przedstawienia dokonań literackich Huch w studiach dotyczących historii niemieckiej literatury, tłumaczenia jej wierszy, tłumaczenie powieści Erinnerungen von Ludolf Ursleu, dem Jüngeren [Wspomnienia Ludolfa Ursleu Juniora], przyznanie Nagrody im. Ricardy Huch Miasta Darmstadt polskiej pisarce Hannie Krall, a także projekt studentów opolskiej germanistyki propagujący twórczość R. Huch. O ile twórczość Ricardy Huch została odnotowana przez polskich badaczy literatury niemieckiej, o czym świadczą opracowania poświęcone jej spuściźnie literackiej, o tyle brak jest w dalszym ciągu rzetelnego opracowania naukowego zarówno na niemieckim, jak i polskim rynku wydawniczym, które ujęłoby całościowo bardzo zróżnicowaną twórczość Huch i osadziło ją w kontekście estetyczno-literackim, historycznym, społecznym i politycznym.
    Der folgende Beitrag bespricht den Forschungsstand der Rezeptionsgeschichte des Werkes von Ricarda Huch in Polen. Die Rezeption Huchs Werke in Polen kann man unter folgenden Themenschwerpunkten analysieren: in geschlossenen Ausgaben veröffentliche Aufsätze, Biogramme in Lexika und Enzyklopädien, Besprechung von literarischen Werken von Huch in Studien über die deutsche Literaturgeschichte, die Übersetzung des Romans Erinnerungen von Ludolf Ursleu, dem Jüngeren ins Polnische, die Verleihung des Ricarda Huch Preises der Stadt Darmstadt an die polnische Schriftstellerin Hanna Krall sowie das Projekt der Oppelner Germanistikstudenten, welches sich auf die Popularisierung des Werkes von R. Huch bezog. Sofern das Werk von Ricarda Huch von polnischen Forschern der deutschen Literatur vernommen wurde, wovon die Besprechungen von Huchs literarischem Nachlass zeugen, fehlt bis heute sowohl auf dem polnischen wie auch auf dem deutschen Buchmarkt eine Bearbeitung, welche die sehr unterschiedliche Dichtkunst von Huch ganzheitlich umfassen und welche diese in einen ästhetisch-literarischen, historischen, sozialen und politischen Kontext einbetten würde.

    This article attempts to address the specificities of the Silesia on the example of selected poems by contemporary female and male authors who feel connected to this corner in the center of Europe and searching for their own identity. The research methodology revolves around biographical threads related to the turbulent history of Silesia, which has shaped the destiny of these writers. The national aspects of Silesia’s historical past are reflected in the subject matter of the lyrical works presented. At the same time, the regional perspective is broken by themes and threads relating to poetic reflections on human existence. It should be emphasized that the poems presented hardly belong to the highest category of fiction. These works show how a particular region with its volatile and often tragic history inspires artistically sensitive individual and enables them to experience the aesthetics captured in poetic images.

    Die Thematik des vorliegenden Beitrages nähert sich der Besprechung des Begriffes ,Sehnsucht‘ in den auf Galizien bezogenen Reportagen von Martin Pollack. Einen methodologischen Einstieg bildet die familiäre Vorgeschichte Pollacks, die sich vor dem Hintergrund geschichtlicher Umwälzungen abspielt, wie auch die eigenen Erlebnisse und Beobachtungen des Autors während seiner Reisen durch Galizien. Im Zentrum der Betrachtung steht die Frage, wie Pollack den historischen Raum (re)konstruiert und ihn in ästhetisch-literarisch nachzeichnet. Pollack setzte sich zum Ziel seiner Reportagen die (Neu)Entdeckung Galiziens anhand der individuellen sowie kollektiven Erinnerungen.  
    Tematyka artykułu oscyluje wokół omówienia pojęcia ,tęsknoty’ w reportażach o Galicji Martina Pollacka. Z metodologicznego punktu widzenia podstawę do badań stanowi rodzinna biografia autora w odniesieniu do przeobrażeń historycznych, jak również osobiste przeżycia i spostrzeżenia autora podczas jego podróży po Galicji. W centrum uwagi znajduje się pytanie, jak Pollack (re)konstruuje przestrzeń historyczną i zobrazowuje ją w sposób estetyczno-literacki. Pollack stawia sobie za cel swoich reportaży nowe odkrycie Galicji na podstawie wspomnień indywidualnych oraz zbiorowych.         
    The subject of the article oscillates around the discussion of the concept of ‘longing’ in Martin Pollack’s reportages about Galicia. From a methodological point of view, the basis for research is the author's family biography in relation to historical transformations, as well as the author’s personal experiences and observations during his journey through Galicia. The focus is on the question of how Pollack (re)constructs historical space and depicts it in an aesthetic and literary way. Pollack aims to discover Galicia based on individual and collective memories.
