Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono charakterystykę transportu kolejowego z uwzględnienie przewozów pasażerskich oraz towarowych. Zaprezentowano podmioty odpowiedzialne za bezpieczeństwo sektora kolejowego, wśród których wyróżniono Urząd Transportu Kolejowego, spółkę PKP PLK S.A oraz Straż Ochrony Kolei. W pracy ukazano dane statystyczne uwzględniające zdarzenia na kolei oraz opisano bezpieczeństwo przewozu towarów niebezpiecznych. Dodatkowo, w ramach referatu, przedstawiono główne problemy sektora kolejowego i poprzez analizę stanu infrastruktury kolejowej, gęstości sieci oraz zdarzeń i wypadków na liniach kolejowych dokonano oceny stanu bezpieczeństwa transportu kolejowego w Polsce.
The article presents the characteristics of rail transport taking into account passenger and cargo transport. The entities responsible for the safety of the railway sector have been presented, including the Rail Transport Office, PKP PLK SA and the Railway Protection Guard. The paper presents statistical data regarding events on the railway and describes the safety of dangerous goods transport. In addition, as part of the paper, the main problems of the railway sector and the analysis of the condition of railway infrastructure, network density and events were presented and accidents on railway lines, the safety of railway transport in Poland was assessed.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono transport kolejowy jako element systemu logistycznego Polski. Zaprezentowano charakterystykę transportu kolejowego, stan infrastruktury oraz możliwości przewozowe Polskich Kolei Państwowych. W ramach artykułu wskazano rynek towarów i usług, główne korytarze transportowe oraz przewozy intermodalne z wykorzystaniem transportu kolejowego w Polsce. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań opisano wybrane problemy polskiej kolei oraz zaproponowano kierunki rozwoju transportu kolejowego.
The article presents rail transport as an element of the Polish logistics system. Firstly, it presents basic information about rail transport such as rail’s infrastructure, main companies responsible for the organization of transport and transport capability of the Polish State Railways. Secondly, the paper indicates the market of goods and services, main transport corridors and intermodal transport with the use of rail transport in Poland. Furthermore, based on the conducted research, selected problems of the Polish railways were described. The Article is finished by a propose the directions for the development of rail transport.

Opis:: The paper presents the characteristics of the rail transport system, including passenger and freight transport during the Covid-19 pandemic. The entities responsible for the safety of the railway sector were presented, among which were the Railway Transport Office, the company PKP PLK S.A., and the Railroad Security Guard, which played the most critical role. The paper presents statistical data for railway accidents and casualties in 2018–2021. It was noted that the Covid-19 pandemic significantly reduced passenger and freight transport. 2021 was the European Year of Railways; it was also an exceptional, demanding, and significant year for changes taking place on the railways. Throughout this time, the Office of Rail Transport promoted rail as a safe, ecological, and comfortable means of transport. Based on statistics and empirical research, the main problems of the railway sector were discussed, and the research hypothesis was verified positively.

Opis:: Presented paper discuss the influence of substitution of imidasolium ring on the solubility and structure of chitin. The 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium chloride (BMIM)(Cl) and the 1-butyl-2,3- dimethyl imidazolium chloride (BMMIM)(Cl) were used as solvents. These ionic liquids differ by the presence of the substituent in position 2 that causes differences in physical and chemical properties. The surface of chitin particle was observe under electron microscope and chitin IR spectra were compared to investigated polymer structure after regeneration with water. It was found that both IL are good solvents for chitin. Moreover after regeneration chitin structure was similar to native one but became more porous.

Opis:: Titanium alloys are currently widely used in implantation, especially in orthopaedics. However, undesirable reactions caused by aluminium and vanadium ions released from the surface of the most commonly used alloys, Ti6Al4V and Ti6Al7Nb, result in the need to modify the surface of the material to improve biocompatibility. Among the available modification methods, one can mention the application of biodegradable polymer coatings, which, apart from improving biocompatibility by limiting the penetration of alloying element ions into the tissue environment, can also be a matrix for the release of mineral (HAp) and active substances. The paper attempts to determine the mechanical properties of PLGA polymer coatings containing nanoparticle hydroxyapatite and an active substance (dexamethasone) applied with the ultrasonic spray coating method on a Ti6Al7Nb alloy substrate. The scope of the research included: surface topography testing using an optical profilometer, coating adhesion testing to the substrate using the scratch test method and tribological testing (Pin-On-Disc method).
Stopy tytanu znajdują obecnie szerokie zastosowania implantacyjne, szczególnie w ortopedii. Jednakże niepożądane reakcje wywoływane przez jony glinu i wanadu uwalnianie z powierzchni najczęściej wykorzystywanych w praktyce stopów Ti6Al4V oraz Ti6Al7Nb skutkują koniecznością modyfikacji powierzchni materiału w celu poprawy biokompatybilności. Wśród dostępnych metod modyfikacji wymienić można nakładanie biodegradowalnych powłok polimerowych, które poza poprawą biokompatybilności poprzez ograniczenie przenikania jonów pierwiastków stopowych do środowiska tkankowego stanowić mogą także matrycę dla uwalniania substancji mineralnych (HAp) oraz aktywnych. W pracy podjęto próbę określenia własności mechanicznych powłok polimerowych z PLGA, zawierających nanocząsteczkowy hydroksyapatyt oraz substancję aktywną (deksametazon), nakładanych metodą natryskiwania ultradźwiękowego na podłoże ze stopu Ti6Al7Nb. Zakres przeprowadzonych badań obejmował badania topografii powierzchni z wykorzystaniem profilometru optycznego, badania adhezji powłok do podłoża metodą scratch test oraz badania tribologiczne (metoda Pin-On-Disc).
