    Many companies are seeking to gain competitive advantage with respect to cost, quality, service and on-time deliveries. The effect of maintenance on these variables has prompted increased attention to the realm of maintenance as an integral part of productivity improvement. The Maintenance Management Framework is a strategy, a form of guidance and a tool indispensable to the maintenance department to attain quality, efficiency, and effectiveness in performing its mission responsibilities. In a company benefiting from a quality management system, this framework should be founded on the seven principles of quality management according to ISO 9000:2015.
    Przedsiębiorstwa starają się uzyskać przewagę konkurencyjną poprzez zwrócenie uwagi na koszty, jakość i terminowość dostaw. Wpływ utrzymania ruchu na te zmienne skłania zarządzających do zwrócenia uwagi na procesy utrzymania ruchu i uznania tego obszaru jako integralnej części doskonalenie produktywności przedsiębiorstwa. Ramy zarządzania utrzymaniem ruchu określone są poprzez strategie, przewodniki i narzędzia niezbędne dla działu utrzymania ruchu, aby osiągnąć jakość, efektywność i skuteczność w wykonywaniu swoich obowiązków. W przedsiębiorstwie, które utrzymuje system zarządzania jakością, ramy te powinny być oparte na siedmiu zasadach zarządzania jakością zgodnie z normą ISO 9000: 2015.

    Increasing efficiency of machines and strong competition between companies, popularized the use of measures for maintenance service, designed to increase efficiency and reduce the costs of the machines usage. These indicators, help to achieve the reliability of production centers, eliminating potential events associated with electric, hydraulic and pneumatic failures. The aim of the work was to investigate the dependence of performance indicators used by the maintenance services, with the number of parts produced on automated production lines. Then assessed the relationship between the productivity of the line and the ratio of effective production time and how much time is spent on resolving the failure. Interpretation of measurement helped to make the joint improvement activities in the publication described production plants.

    In response to the growing sustainability concerns, manufacturing companies have to formulate measures to assess sustainable manufacturing performance, aiming at integration of sustainability aspects. Although various models and methods to assess the sustainability of production processes, and point the role of maintenance have been developed in recent years, contribution of all the elements of the maintenance to the results of sustainable production has not been comprehensively considered, since mostly financial aspects were analyzed. Taking into account this research gap, the article presents the concept of a model and procedure for assessing maintenance from the perspective of sustainable manufacturing requirements. Authors integrate three sustainability dimensions (economic, social and environmental) with Kaplan and Norton’s balance scorecard perspectives as a basis to develop the model of maintenance sustainability performance assessment. For the model developed, the assessment procedure based on the paradigm of aggregate assessment was designed. The Choquet integral, based on the so-called λ – measure, was implemented to aggregate the measures. Then, the results of research on determining the importance and interactions between the perspectives and criteria for assessing sustainable maintenance in enterprises representing the automotive and food industries are presented.
    W odpowiedzi na wyzwania zrównoważonego rozwoju (SD), przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjne włączają ekonomiczne, środowiskowe i społeczne wymagania SD do swoich praktyk produkcyjnych i formułują miary do oceny skuteczności podjętych działań. Pomimo, iż w ostatnich latach opracowano wiele modeli i metod oceny zrównoważonej produkcji i wskazywano w nich na rolę utrzymania ruchu, to jednak poza aspektem finansowym nie rozważano w sposób kompleksowy wszystkich elementów wkładu utrzymania ruchu w wyniki zrównoważonej produkcji. Biorąc pod uwagę tę lukę badawczą, w artykule przedstawiono koncepcję modelu i procedury oceny utrzymania ruchu z perspektywy wymagań zrównoważonej produkcji. Autorzy integrują trzy wymiary zrównoważonego rozwoju (ekonomiczny, społeczny i środowiskowy) z perspektywami zrównoważonej karty wyników Kaplana i Nortona, jako podstawę do skonstruowania modelu oceny wyników zrównoważonego utrzymania ruchu. Dla tak opracowanego modelu zaprojektowano opartą na paradygmacie oceny agregatowej procedurę oceniania. Do agregacji składników oceny zastosowano całkę Choqueta, opartą na tzw. mierze λ. Następnie przedstawiono wyniki badań pilotażowych dotyczących określenia ważności i interakcji między perspektywami i kryteriami oceny zrównoważonego utrzymania ruchu w przedsiębiorstwach branży motoryzacyjnej i spożywczej.

    The inherent aspect of assessing the effectiveness of improvement activities in enterprises is building a system for measuring performance, hence using a variety of measures and indicators. These measures are used to evaluate key activities carried out in various functional areas of the company and indicate their effectiveness in relation to the objectives of the organization. One of the measures most widely used in enterprises assessment of the efficiency of the maintenance, production and logistics is the efficiency of production equipment - OEE. The literature on OEE indicates the spectrum of its applications. It is used both as a operational efficiency measurement as well as a guide for managers for building internal cooperation between maintenance, production and logistics as well as initiating actions to increase the effective use of management at the disposal of production equipment. The purpose of this article is to show the possibilities of improving efficiency of production equipment working in the painting facility. Article consists of five chapters. The second chapter on the basis of the literature points indicators of efficiency used in enterprises concerning its equipment. The third chapter describes the production line, the analysis of OEE and defines the main problems. Section four – improvement actions and assessment of their impact on the value of the OEE. The fifth chapter is a summary and conclusions.

    The article refers to the ability of continuous improvement of processes and their assessment in Polish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The research problem emerges from the lack of a clear and understandable model of self-assessment for this group of enterprises and also a minimal ability to precisely define areas for improvement. The way to competitiveness in these organizations usually starts with implementation of pro-quality management standards respondent to ISO 9001 standard requirements. The next steps are usually quite chaotic and do not employ a systematic approach and holistic view of an enterprise. Polish Quality Award and EFQM excellence models are too general at this stage of a SME organization’s maturity. Thus, the main goal of the author’s paper was to develop and verify the idea of a modularized measuring model of an organization’s excellence. The article presents the results of literature research, the developed simplified diagram of the theoretical model and, consequently, focused research – a revised model of excellence for small and medium-sized enterprises. The model consists of five modules defined by terms as: quality, maintenance, ergonomics and OSH, environment and logistics, and for each of the modules offers six evaluation criteria: policy and strategy, preventive measures, teamwork, staff qualifications, and communication (internal and external).
