    Research background: The amount of the minimum wage is, in some sense, an indicator of the economic level of a country. There are considerable differences in this indicator between the countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). At the same time, the minimum wage is also an instrument that largely regulates people's behaviour and affects different areas of life. Purpose of the article: The objective of this study is to determine the relations between the minimum wage and individual smoking-related indicators in a sample of selected OECD countries (16 countries). The study answers the question of whether people in countries with lower minimum wages (lower development) smoke more than in countries with higher minimum wages. Methods: Four variables entered into the analytical processing, the minimum wage, daily smokers (age 15+), daily smokers (age 15-24) and tobacco consumption in grams per capita (age 15+). The data were collected between 2011 and 2017. The analysis was carried out in three steps ? descriptive analysis, cluster analysis and regression analysis. Findings & Value added: It has been found that the minimum wage negatively affects smoking and tobacco consumption, i.e. in developed countries, where the minimum wage is higher, people smoke less. Regarding the evaluation of minimum wage and tobacco consumption, countries such as Austria, New Zealand or the United States can be considered positive. On the other hand, opportunities for improvement can be seen in countries such as the Czech Republic, Spain, Estonia and Israel. The study highlights the importance of the effect of the minimum wage on selected smoking-related indicators in selected OECD countries. In all three cases, there was a negative relation; therefore, smoking can be expected to decrease, if the minimum wage is increased.

    The objective of this study was to assess the relations between health spending and selected indicators of healthcare efficiency in the classification of healthcare financing systems in OECD countries. The study also provides an insight into the amount of health spending and healthcare efficiency, represented by life expectancy at birth, positive health self-assessment, and the health care index. The relationships of the selected variables were primarily examined in per their classification according to the health financing system. Aspects falling under the main objective were analysed through statistical descriptive analysis and analysis of relationships. The relationship between the level of funding in terms of GDP and the outputs of healthcare efficiency was confirmed. However, this connection was not confirmed when considering the healthcare financing system. The national health financing appeared to be the only system where the relationship existed. Simultaneously, the importance of managing an efficient healthcare financing system can be highlighted.
    Celem tego badania była ocena efektywności wydatków na opiekę zdrowotną, w zależności od rodzaju systemu finansowania opieki zdrowotnej w krajach OE D. Badanie zapewnia również wgląd w wysokość wydatków na zdrowie i efektywność opieki zdrowotnej, reprezentowanych przez oczekiwaną długość życia w chwili urodzenia, pozytywną samoocenę zdrowia i wskaźnik opieki zdrowotnej. Zależności wybranych zmiennych badano przede wszystkim według ich klasyfikacji godnie systemem finansowania opieki zdrowotnej. Aspekty wchodzące w zakres celu głównego analizowano poprzez statystyczną analizę opisową i analizę zależności. Potwierdziliśmy związek między poziomem finansowania pod względem PKB a wynikami wydajności opieki zdrowotnej. Związek ten nie został jednak potwierdzony przy rozważaniu systemu finansowania. Wydaje się, że krajowe finansowanie opieki zdrowotnej jest jedynym systemem, w którym istnieje związek. Jednocześnie można podkreślić znaczenie zarządzania wydajnym systemem finansowania opieki zdrowotnej.

    In order to strengthen public health management, the main aim of the study was to identify possible changes in alcohol consumption during the health crisis, classified according to the socio-economic status of the Slovak population. The research sample consisted of 506 respondents (33% males and 67% females), and data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed from 29th of April 2020 to 1st July 2020. A crosstabulation showed that alcohol consumption did not change in about half of the respondents, while the majority of the remaining respondents reported a decrease in alcohol consumption compared to those who reported an increase. Females were more stable in their drinking than males. Correspondence analysis showed that high-income males (2500 to 2999 EUR) were more likely to drink excessively. Conversely, high-income females reported much less alcohol consumption. Health care professionals should pay increased attention to alcohol consumption in vulnerable groups at risk of developing an addiction. The findings of this study provide valuable information for improving public policy management and for effective decision-making in public health.
    W celu wzmocnienia zarządzania zdrowiem publicznym, głównym celem badania była identyfikacja możliwych zmian w spożyciu alkoholu podczas kryzysu zdrowotnego, sklasyfikowanych według statusu społeczno-ekonomicznego ludności słowackiej. Próba badawcza składała się z 506 respondentów (33% mężczyzn i 67% kobiet), a dane zostały zebrane za pomocą ankiety internetowej rozprowadzanej od 29 kwietnia 2020 r. do 1 lipca 2020 r. Tabela krzyżowa wykazała, że spożycie alkoholu nie zmieniło się w około połowie badanych, podczas gdy większość pozostałych respondentów zgłosiła spadek spożycia alkoholu w porównaniu z tymi, którzy zgłosili wzrost. Kobiety były bardziej stabilne w piciu niż mężczyźni. Analiza korespondencji wykazała, że mężczyźni o wysokich dochodach (2500 do 2999 euro) częściej nadużywali alkoholu. Z drugiej strony kobiety o wysokich dochodach zgłaszały znacznie mniejsze spożycie alkoholu. Pracownicy służby zdrowia powinni zwracać większą uwagę na spożywanie alkoholu w grupach wrażliwych, zagrożonych uzależnieniem. Wyniki tego badania dostarczają cennych informacji na temat poprawy zarządzania polityką publiczną oraz skutecznego podejmowania decyzji w zakresie zdrowia publicznego.

    Recently, customer relationship management (CRM) applications have also shown importance in areas where demand exceeds supply. The core of CRM is based on marketing and communication with the customer is an important part of the marketing philosophy. The primary objective of this study is to highlight the importance of dental healthcare website elements from the customer's perspective in terms of customer satisfaction. The primary data included 448 respondents. The parameters of the website were assessed in the research, where it was found that there should be a term management element and a reminder system (e.g. SMS) on the dentist's website. In general, it can be said about linking the primary e-communication between the doctor and the patient, the doctor should primarily focus on inviting the patient to attend a medical examination or should provide information about preventive examinations. These issues have the greatest impact on overall satisfaction. These outputs were achieved using frequency and descriptive statistical characteristics and regulatory models (ridge, lasso, elastic net) and a multiple linear regression analysis model.
    Ostatnio aplikacje zarządzania relacjami z klientami (CRM) również mają znaczenie w obszarach, w których popyt przewyższa podaż. Podstawą CRM jest marketing i komunikacja z klientem, która jest ważną częścią filozofii marketingowej. Głównym celem tego badania jest podkreślenie znaczenia elementów strony internetowej opieki stomatologicznej z punktu widzenia klienta pod względem satysfakcji klienta. Podstawowe dane obejmowały 448 respondentów. Parametry strony internetowej zostały ocenione w badaniu, w którym stwierdzono, że na stronie internetowej dentysty powinien istnieć element zarządzania terminami i system przypomnień (np. SMS). Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, można powiedzieć o łączeniu podstawowej komunikacji elektronicznej między lekarzem a pacjentem, lekarz powinien przede wszystkim skupić się na zaproszeniu pacjenta do wzięcia udziału w badaniu lekarskim lub powinien dostarczyć informacji na temat badań profilaktycznych. Kwestie te mają największy wpływ na ogólne zadowolenie. Wyniki te uzyskano za pomocą częstotliwości i opisowych charakterystyk statystycznych oraz modeli regulacyjnych (grzbiet, lasso, siatka elastyczna) i wielorakiego modelu analizy regresji liniowej.

    The primary objective of the research was to determine the significance of satisfaction and profitability of the top hotels in the Visegrad Group countries. The following outputs were included in the analysis: Profitability Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), satisfaction assessment with the quality of the features provided such as Overall Assessment, Personal, Location, Cleanliness, Comfort, Equipment and the evaluation of Price, Quality and Wi-Fi. Inference methods, context analysis (Pearson r, Spearman ρ) and multiple linear regression were used for the analysis. Data was obtained from the financial statements database (reporting period 2017) and from the booking portal (beginning of 2018). The sample was defined for the top hotels in the Visegrad Group countries, i.e. five star hotels (n = 33). One of the most interesting findings was that there is a relation between satisfaction and profitability (ROE, ROA), however it is a negative relation, which is contradictory with the research. In particular, the significant (p value <0.05) impact on ROE was confirmed in case of comfort, ROA was confirmed in the overall assessment (positive impact) as well as in the hotel location, price and quality, where it was negative. Negative impacts may reflect the organization's financial management system, which is a mirror of the state's financial cost accounting policy.
    Głównym celem badań było określenie znaczenia satysfakcji i rentowności najlepszych hoteli w krajach Grupy Wyszehradzkiej. W analizie uwzględniono następujące wyniki: rentowność zwrotu z aktywów (ROA), zwrot z kapitału (ROE), ocena satysfakcji związana z jakością udostępnionych funkcji, takich jak ogólna ocena, kwestie osobiste, lokalizacja, czystość, komfort, wyposażenie i ocena ceny, jakości i Wi-Fi. Do analizy wykorzystano metody wnioskowania, analizę korelacji Pearsona i Spearmana i wielokrotną regresję liniową. Dane uzyskano z bazy danych sprawozdań finansowych (okres sprawozdawczy 2017) oraz z portalu rezerwacyjnego (początek 2018 r.). Próba została zdefiniowana dla najlepszych hoteli w krajach Grupy Wyszehradzkiej, tj. hoteli pięciogwiazdkowych (n = 33). Jednym z najciekawszych wniosków było to, że istnieje zależność między satysfakcją a rentownością (ROE, ROA), jednak jest to relacja negatywna, co jest sprzeczne z badaniami. W szczególności znaczący (p <0,05) wpływ na ROE potwierdzono w przypadku komfortu, ROA potwierdzono w ogólnej ocenie (pozytywny wpływ), a także w lokalizacji hotelu, cenie i jakości, gdzie był ujemny. Negatywne skutki mogą odzwierciedlać system zarządzania finansami organizacji, który ukazuje politykę księgowania kosztów finansowych państwa.
