Opis:
Regarding the chromatographic analysis of the stabilizers in the double based propellants, nitrocellulose causes an interference problem with diphenylamine and its derivatives. In this study, specifc extraction of the stabilizer was planned before the chromatographic analysis and the stabilizer was extracted into CHCl3 by means of a soxhylet extraction in order to eliminate this problem. Then, most of the CHCl3 was evaporated under hydrothermal conditions and the residue was analyzed with HPLC after being dissolved in MeCN. By means of an isocratic work, the stabilizer 2-nitro diphenylamine (2NDPA) was clearly detected with 85% MeCN and 15% H2O carrier phase in C18 column. The effect of the matrix that could be found in the ambient was examined and the recovery was found between 95.06 +/-3.09 - 99.88 +/-3.34%. No matrix effect was determined in the ambient.

Opis:
Drought conditions may have direct or indirect effects on plant physiology, biochemistry, and molecular characteristics. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of drought stress on the physiological, biochemical, and molecular responses of three different watermelon cultivars with varying levels of drought tolerance (24: drought resistant, CS: moderately tolerant, and 98: drought sensitive). The cultivars exhibited different responses to cope with water stress according to their tolerance level. Drought induced significant reductions in chlorophyll a, total chlorophyll and carotenoid content and glutation reductase and ascorbate peroxidase activity in the sensitive cultivar unlike in the moderately tolerant and drought resistant cultivars. Additionally, the expression levels of NAC1, NAC2, ORE1, WRKY24, SAG12, SAG13, KCS2, CER1, DREB2A, LTP3, SWEET15, and PYL9 genes were measured using qRT-PCR. The expression ratios of the genes significantly varied depending on the gene location and on the tolerance of the cultivars. Results showed that the physiology and biochemical and molecular pathways of tolerant cultivars change to adapt to drought conditions. Therefore, the drought-resistant cultivar copes with drought stress by increasing proline content and antioxidant enzyme activities, as well as by increasing the expression of specific genes.

Opis:
The intensity ratio R of the dipole-allowed lines 3d²D_{3/2,5/2} → 2p²P_{3/2} and 3d²D_{3/2} → 2p²P_{1/2} emitted from highly charged boron-like Ar¹³⁺ ion collisionally excited by a monoenergetic electron beam has been theoretically studied versus electron densities from 10⁹ to 5× 10¹³ cm^{-3}. The calculations were performed at different angles θ of observation with respect to the electron beam direction and various incident-electron energies e_{ı} from 0.65 to 3 keV. By taking into account all important transitions among 290 magnetic sublevels of the 2s²2p, 2s2p², 2p³, 2s²3l, 2s2p3l, 2p²3l (l = 0-2) configurations, a collisional-radiative model has been used for determining the populations of the upper magnetic sublevels of the lines. All required atomic data were computed with the Flexible Atomic Code. We find that the effect of anisotropy in the photon emission, due to the directionality of the incident electron beam, can lead to very significant differences between R(0°) and R(90°). Our results also indicate that the contribution from the ²D_{3/2}→ ²P_{3/2} line which blends with the ²D_{5/2} → ²P_{3/2} line enhances the effect of anisotropy.
