    Opis:
    Funkčnosť, spoľahlivosť a bezpečnosť zložitých technologických systémov, ktoré pozostávajú z elementárnych komponentov, je determinovaná ich kvalitnou údržbou. V článku je popísaný príklad reálneho postupu pracovníkov počas opravy elektromotora v atómovej elektrárni. Metódou partnerskej kontroly pri riadenej činnosti bolo hodnotené dodržiavanie zásad bezpečnosti práce nestranným pozorovateľom. Cieľom bolo zistiť chybovosť ľudského činiteľa. Ako nástroje zisťovania odchýlok od štandardného postupu pri oprave elektromotora boli použité koučing a pozorovanie. Boli identifikované viaceré zlyhania ľudského činiteľa. Opatrenia na uplatnenie nástrojov na prevenciu ľudských chýb boli založené na preškoľovaní a sebauvedomovaní si nesprávnosti postupov zamestnancov v dôsledku objektívnych aj subjektívnych príčin a uvedomenie si osobnej zodpovednosti pracovníkov za kvalitne a bezpečne vykonanú prácu.
    Functionality, reliability and safety of complex technological systems consisting of elementary components are determined by their quality service. The paper describes an example of the real process of workers during reparation of the electric engine in the nuclear power plant. There was evaluated fulfillment of the principles of safety at work what was done by an independent observer who used the method of the partner control. The aim was to identify human failing factor. Couching and observation were used as tools to identify the deviations from the standard procedure at the electric engine repairing. Several human factor errors were identified. The measures for applications of the tools preventing human failings were set up on retraining and self-perception of the incorrect procedures of the employees due to objective and subjective reasons. These measures should help to achieve desirable behavior change and relevant awareness of the personal for responsibility for quality and safe work performed by the staff.

    The paper presents results of a questionnaire survey which aim was to find out English learners´ preferences of different platforms and applications to be used for home schooling.    Concept. Key attention of the authors is paid to the issue of the transition of face-to-face forms of education to online platforms, caused by school closures due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. At first, they deal with the use of digital technologies in teaching in general. They analyse how digital didactic means were used prior to the pandemic situation and they present research results related to differences among the ways of the use of these means within different subjects teaching (natural science subjects, technically oriented subjects, languages, social science subjects, artwork subjects). Consequently, the authors deal with the methodological aspects of the use of online forms in foreign language teaching.    Methodology. To find answer to such questions as which educational form, school education or home schooling, is more preferred by English learners, what are the strengths and weaknesses of home schooling, which foreign language skills are being practiced via online Zoom lessons,  which foreign language skills are being practiced via worksheets, or which mobile applications are used to enlarge students` vocabulary range, a questionnaire survey was carried out. Respondents of the survey were English learners, secondary vocational school students,,aged from 16 to 20 year-olds.    Results and conclusions. Based on the analysis of the data recorded from the learners` responses to the particular questionnaire items as the most significant three weaknesses of the home schooling were identified technical problems, more homework and lack of social contacts, while as the main strengths were found out home comfort, sufficient sleeping time and less dense timetable.

    Základným predpokladom zdarného priebehu akéhokoľvek verejného podujatia je garantovanie jeho bezpečnosti. Za týmto účelom je potrebné zabezpečiť náležité zaškolenie osôb podieľajúcich sa na realizácii priebehu podujatia. Pri uplatňovaní aktivizujúcich metód môže byť efektívnosť zaškoľovania príslušných osôb výraznou mierou zvyšovaná. V príspevku je prezentovaná metodika využitia konkrétnej modelovej situácie určenej na nácvik kontroly rizík pri organizovaní kultúrno-spoločenských podujatí. Modelová situácia vychádza z organizácie hudobno-tanečného festivalu Outbreak konaného v meste Banská Bystrica.
    Success of organizing of any public event is based on its safety guarantee. That is why it is necessary to ensure appropriate training for personnel involved in the realization of the event. Effectiveness of the training can be increased significantly by the use of activating methods. The paper presents a methodology of the use of a particular model situation aimed at the risk control practice at cultural and social events organization. The model situation is derived from the musicdance festival Outbreak organized in the city of Banská Bystrica.

    Aim. The paper focuses on the divergence of views of experts from four European educational institutions on key competences, which would become the basis for a successful performance of a mentor position. They should be taken as the key items of a mentor competence profile. Methods. A panel discussion – specifically, a focus group interview as its alternative form – was used to determine how the experts assessed particular competences of the mentor competence profile, i.e. to identify which competences they considered to be the key ones of the mentor competence profile. The panel discussion was led by six focus groups, members of which were experts representing four different countries from six universities: two from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and one from Hungary and Serbia. Results. The intention of the conducted panel discussion was to find a common view and consensus on the key competences required for a successful performance of the mentor position. However, the results of the panel discussion showed a significant divergence of the opinions on the fundamental mentor competences depending on the country the experts were from. Differences in the views on the issue examined by experts representing different institutions from the same country also occurred, but proved to be inconclusive.  Conclusion. Mentoring is currently considered one of the most important means of developing pedagogical competences of future and novice teachers. The results of the conducted panel discussion may contribute to the creation of a platform on which an adequate professional mentor training can be designed.

    Aim. The paper presents information on the concept of teaching materials supporting professional development of mentors,  either teacher trainees trainers or introducing  teachers of novice teachers, created within an international project by experts from 6 higher education institutions (Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra – SK,  the University of J. Selye in Komárno - SK, Eszterházy Károly Catholic University in Eger - HU, the University of Ostrava in Ostrava - CZ, the Prague University of Economics and Business in Prague - CZ, the University of Novi Sad in Novi Sad – SRB). Methods. Based on analyses of different resources and opinions of experts nominated by the above mentioned higher education institution a mentor competence profile consisting of fifteen key competences was compiled. Based on the platform of the created profile teaching materials supporting successful performance of the mentor role or position were processed. Results. As a main output of the international project 2020-1-SK01-KA201-078250 Mentor training of the Erasmus+ program, five textbooks were created , the basic one in the English version and the other four – its mutations in the national languages of the individual project partners. Conclusion. The textbooks created within the project will be used in the project partner countries within the mentors practical training and preparation. Cognitive value. Currently the concept and philosophy of the teaching materials created within the Mentor training project have become a background for processing further teaching materials supporting mentors´ competence development, which are under preparation within an other international project, namely the bilateral Slovak-Serbian project APVV SK-SRB-21-0025 Mentors´ Vademecum supported by the Slovak Research and Development Agency.

    Aim. The paper presents feedback on the effects of a new approach to the teaching practice of teacher trainees introduced in Serbia. Verification of the new approach is connected with a mentor training conception which has been under preparation within the frame of Erasmus+ project 2020-1-SK01-KA201-07825 Mentor training addressed in mutual cooperation of higher education institutions from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, and the Republic of Serbia. Methods. Within the frame of the new approach, verification structured interviews were carried out with a research sample of ten mentor teachers—science teachers from primary and secondary schools. The teachers were asked about the teacher trainees’ knowledge and skills (competences) they use within the lessons taught by them during their teaching practice, ways to improve the mentoring process, as well as mentors’ competences and the ability to self-assess.   Results. The researchers collected rather positive opinions of mentors about mentees’ knowledge and skills they come to schools with. At the same time, the mentors expressed high satisfaction with their own knowledge about their mentoring role and competences. Conclusion. The paper presents, on the one hand, a good example of synergy of the national school policy strategies, introducing new approaches to the teaching practice of teacher trainees in Serbia. On the other hand, the goals of an international project are presented, which are meant to improve the quality of mentor-teachers at schools in Serbia.
