    Smoke can reduce the airport’s visibility and is related to the aviation safety and efficiency. Low visibility has potential safety hazard, such GA-152 crashed in 1997, and thus there is a need to find out the visibility characteristics in airports over Sumatra and Borneo Island caused by 2015 forest fire. This research aims to analyse the spatiotemporal visibility characteristics over airports in Sumatera and Borneo Island using flight rule visibility below minima criteria and hazard probability. The analysis of smoke was characterized using visibility severity index (VSI) that is a function of visibility severity class and its probability level. Spatiotemporal analysis of severity index combined with hotspot and wind numerical weather model indicates that the worst impact visibility occurred in September and October 2015. The lowest visibility was occured over night until afternoon time period. The spread of VSI impact has a tendency to northward and northwestward. The very high VSI levels occurred at airports such: WIJJ (Jambi), WIBB (Pekanbaru), WAGG (Palangkaraya) which were impacted up to 70% of flight operations time with IFR visibility below minima; while the WIOS (Susilo-Sintang), which operates only on VFR, experienced about 92% of VFR visibility below minima at smoke climax period.

    A large scale perturbation by the Convectively Coupled Equatorial Waves (CCEW) is often observed in the tropics as a precursor to influence weather condition, for example over the Indonesian archipelago (Maritime Continent (MC)). This study examines the interaction between local factors and CCEW with regard to convection and vertical interferences on a local scale over Indonesia during extreme Western North Pacific (WNP) and Australian (AU) monsoon phases. Through space-time spectra analysis of a 15 year (2001-2015) Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) 3B42 dataset, the propagation of CCEW, i.e. Kelvin, Equatorial Rossby (ER) and Mixing Rossby-Gravity (MRG) waves was assessed. An Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) 1 and 2 for each wave evolution across the region of Indonesia, was then compared with daily precipitation anomalies and multilevel wind observations from seven locations in Indonesia to assess the interaction between local factors and CCEW. Results suggest there is evidence of local convection associated with Kelvin waves in the afternoon through to the evening in Tangerang, Surabaya and Makassar during WNP monsoon phases. Local convection associated with MRG waves only occurred in Makassar at the last evolution day during the same period, while there is no clear evidence for an interaction between local factors for ER waves. Low-level westerly winds appear to be significantly coupled with convection from Kelvin waves in Tangerang, Surabaya, and Makassar during the WNP monsoon phase, while the interaction is less significant for MRG-coupled convections (except in Makassar during the same monsoon phase) and absent for ER waves. This study suggests that the global scale phenomena of the Kelvin wave is associated with local scale factors in controlling convection, particularly during an extreme WNP phase in Indonesia.

    This study aims to describe the effects of metacognitive strategy on students’ listening performance. The quasi-experimental design was employed. The participants were Indonesian undergraduate learners majoring in English education programs. Listening tests and close-response questionnaires were used for collecting the data. The results revealed a significant effect on listening performance after being tutored by using a metacognitive strategy. It also revealed that seven factors affecting students’ difficulties in the listening comprehension process covered comprehension process, linguistic features, psychology, lack of concentration, listeners’ problem, speakers’ problem, and environmental factors. Findings underlined that metacognitive strategy effectively increased EFL students’ listening performance.

    This study aimed to analyze organizational transformation, organizational culture, and transformational leadership in relation to employee performance, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable. The participants consisted of 101 employees from automotive component manufacturing companies. They were selected using purposive sampling techniques to ensure alignment with the research objectives. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) to illustrate the variables and indicators influencing employees’ performance. The results indicated that organizational transformation, organizational culture, and transformational leadership had a positive impact on employee performance. Furthermore, the mediating role of job satisfaction in relation to employee performance was also observed. Therefore, organizations should optimize job satisfaction to enhance employee competencies in response to business challenges. By implementing organizational transformation, fostering a positive organizational culture, and promoting transformational leadership, organizations can potentially increase satisfaction, responsiveness, and performance, thereby supporting business innovation. Job satisfaction plays a crucial role in maintaining performance stability, as the business process appears to be highly reliant on organizational transformation, organizational culture, and transformational leadership. The variables examined in this study demonstrate that job satisfaction enhances employees’ responsiveness to the company’s operations. Consequently, organizations should prioritize responsiveness and adaptability when empowering their human resources.

    Purpose: This research was conducted to analyze the extent to which online customer reviews (OCRs) can stimulate investment backers as a strategy to increase crowdfunding investment. Design / Method / Approach: This research is quantitative. Natural language processing (NLP) processes review text documents based on linguistic study, a lexicon-based method is used for sentiment analysis classification based on polarity score (pros and cons), while Multiple linear regression forms a model or relationship between online customer reviews and crowdfunding investments. OCRs consisting of numeric and text features were collected from one hundred technology products (3D printing, drones, cameras, wearables) on Kickstarter.com. Findings: The study results show that, in addition to positive reviews, the number of comments and the number of sentiment reviews can increase consumer interest in investing in technology products on the crowdfunding platform. Moreover, positive reviews have the most positive effect on crowdfunding investments. Practical Implications: The study results are expected to be used for startup business, especially technology products as a strategy to increase funding investment on a reward-based crowdfunding platform. Startups can take advantage of online customer reviews as one of important factors in stimulating potential backers and backers to invest. Social implications: The strategy of utilizing online customer reviews can be used especially for technology product-based startup business to get funding support as a resource in completing a product development stage. Originality / Value: The novelty of this research is that it focuses on a technological product development stage, product campaigns on a reward-based crowdfunding platform, considering online customer reviews through sentimental (online reviews) and numerical characteristics (number of comments, number of sentiment reviews) simultaneously as a strategy to increase investment. Research Limitations / Future Research: This study has some limitations as it used only online customer reviews as an attribute that affects crowdfunding investment. Future research is expected to explore online customer reviews to determine important attributes (unique words) as consideration for strategies to increase crowdfunding investment.
    Мета роботи: Це дослідження було проведено, щоб проаналізувати, наскільки онлайн-огляди клієнтів (OCRs) можуть стимулювати спонсорів інвестицій як стратегію збільшення інвестицій у краудфандинг. Дизайн / Метод / Підхід дослідження: Це дослідження є кількісним. Процеси обробки природної мови (NLP) переглядають текстові документи на основі лінгвістичного дослідження, метод на основі лексики використовується для класифікації настроїв на основі оцінки полярності (за і проти), тоді як множинна лінійна регресія формує модель або зв’язок між відгуками клієнтів в Інтернеті та краудфандинговими інвестиціями. OCRs, що складаються з числових і текстових функцій, були зібрані зі ста технологічних продуктів (3D-друк, дрони, камери, носії) на Kickstarter.com. Результати дослідження: Результати дослідження показують, що, крім позитивних відгуків, кількість коментарів і кількість відгуків про настрої можуть підвищити інтерес споживачів до інвестування в технологічні продукти на платформі краудфандингу. Більше того, позитивні відгуки найбільш позитивно впливають на краудфандингові інвестиції. Практична цінність дослідження: Очікується, що результати дослідження будуть використані для стартап-бізнесу, особливо технологічних продуктів, як стратегії збільшення інвестицій у фінансування на краудфандинговій платформі, заснованій на винагородах. Стартапи можуть скористатися перевагами онлайн-оглядів клієнтів як одним із важливих факторів стимулювання потенційних спонсорів і спонсорів, вже готових інвестувати. Соціальна цінність дослідження: Стратегія використання онлайн-відгуків клієнтів може бути використана особливо для запуску бізнесу на основі технологічних продуктів, щоб отримати фінансову підтримку як ресурс для завершення етапу розробки продукту. Оригінальність / Цінність дослідження: Новизна цього дослідження полягає в тому, що воно зосереджується на етапі розробки технологічного продукту, продуктових кампаніях на краудфандинговій платформі, заснованій на винагородах, враховуючи онлайн-відгуки клієнтів через сентиментальні (огляди в Інтернеті) та числові характеристики (кількість коментарів, кількість оцінки настроїв) одночасно як стратегія збільшення інвестицій. Обмеження дослідження / Майбутні дослідження: У цьому дослідженні є деякі обмеження, оскільки було використано лише онлайнові відгуки клієнтів як атрибут, який впливає на інвестиції в краудфандинг. Очікується, що майбутні дослідження будуть вивчати відгуки клієнтів в Інтернеті, щоб визначити важливі атрибути (унікальні слова) для розгляду стратегій збільшення інвестицій у краудфандинг.

    Due to their growing global and complex nature, supply chains are increasingly vulnerable to natural and man-made disasters that disrupt the flow of goods. Today, recovering from disruptions represents a major challenge for supply chain professionals. In literature, most recovery methods are based on redundancy and flexibility. Their drawbacks are high inventory and coordination costs. The companies analyzed in this paper took another approach: they recovered by collaborating with their network partners, especially by temporarily sharing resources. Based on the relational view theory, this paper aims to describe whether and how companies can gain competitive advantage by relying on collaboration during the recovery process. A multiple case study with companies from the automotive and electronics industries is conducted. Six cases are analyzed with regard to the recovery characteristics and enabler. Seven propositions are derived that give potential for further research on this promising recovery method.

    The Cisadane River, Tangerang City, is one of the most important rivers in Indonesia. This river provides raw water for Municipal Waterworks (PDAM) of the Tangerang City and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, but the water quality tends to deteriorate due to pollution. The government has made various efforts to manage the river water quality, but no significant resolution was issued yet. The problem is becoming more complicated due to land-use changes that affect the pollutant load. Therefore, more precise, integrated, and comprehensive management is needed. This study used an approach with various methodologies according to the stages of the research, including; qualitative and quantitative analysis, GIS, statistics, risk management, and System Dynamic. The outcome of this research was the development of the policies in river water quality management, specifically land use manage-ment, separation of drainage channels from domestic sewage channels, enhancement of Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) services coverage, as well as reinforcement of institutional and regulatory aspects, especially in funding commitments.
