Opis:
Changes in magnetic microstructure of Fe₇₈Si₉B₁₃ ribbons were investigated by the Mössbauer spectrometry as a function of their thickness. The latter decreases inversely with the quenching wheel velocity. Amorphicity of the samples was checked by X-ray diffraction and the Mössbauer spectrometry. Average values of hyperfine magnetic fields do not appreciably differ with the production velocity. On the other hand, notable deviations are observed in the position of a net magnetic moment. After annealing with moderate temperature, the magnetic anisotropy improves as indicated by an increase of the average value of hyperfine magnetic field. However, magnetic moments turn out of the ribbon plane and this process continues towards higher production velocity, i.e., smaller thickness of the ribbons. No appreciable deviations in the investigated Mössbauer parameters were revealed after annealing during different time intervals.

Opis:
Iris belongs to the Iridaceae family. It is one of the most important pharmaceutical and ornamental plants in the world. To assess the potyvirus incidence in natural resources of iris plants in Iran, Antigen Coated-Plate ELISA (ACP-ELISA) was performed on 490 symptomatic rhizomatous iris leaf samples, which detected the potyvirus in 36.7% of the samples. Genomic 3’ end of one mechanically non-transmitted potyvirus isolate, comprising a 3’ untranslated region (390 bp) and C-terminus of the coat protein (CP) gene (459 bp), was amplified by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), which was ligated into pTG19-T vector. The nucleotide sequence of amplicons was compared with related sequences, using Blastn software available at NCBI GenBank, and showed the highest similarity with Iris severe mosaic virus (ISMV) isolates. The nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequence of the CP C-terminus region was more than 83% identical with other ISMV isolates, therefore this isolate was designated as ISMV-Ir. This new ISMV isolate is closely related to the Chinese ISMV-PHz in phylogenetic analysis, based on the partial nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequence of the CP region. This is the first report of ISMV occurrence on Iris spp. in Iran.

Opis:
In this paper we are going to introduce “Dena”, a new Filippov type plasma focus facility, with a condenser bank of 0.288 mF, and a maximum supplying energy of 90 kJ (at Vmax= 25 kV). The facility was installed and started to work in the first quarter of the year 2000. Major points of the paper are: – Dena’s construction, functionality, and diagnostic system. – Preliminary results: Different modes of neutron, X-ray, and “hot spot” production, as well as the possibility of controlling operational mode, by changing anode configuration and initial discharge condition.
