- The main subject of the following article is the private equity / venture capital market, which has a significant impact on the growth of innovativeness in Europe. This sector has developed differently, according to the country, especially because they did not avoid severe market turbulence in recent years. Thus, the main aim of this analysis is the determination of the structure of PE/VC market in Europe, at the breakthrough of first and second decade of the XXI century. In addition, this piece of writing also indicates to the most important changes in the development process of this source of capital, that occurred lately. The study is based on the analysis of the statistics published in EVCA Yearbooks.
