Opis:
To describe changes in shoreline configuration in northern Uppland, south-east Sweden, the isolations of 17 present and overgrown lakes have been interpreted from diatom analysis and AMS radiocarbon dates on terrestrial macrofossils. The sites studied are spread c. 60 km in east-west and c. 70 km in north-south direction. The oldest isobase direction, representing the "Neolithic Sea", extends in more or less north-south direction. The present day isobase system shows a clear east-west trend. The results indicate a complicated pattern of isostatic uplift during the late Holocene. We have defined five different shore displacement curves denoted A–E. It is obvious that the present day east-western isobase system is not valid for the investigated sites. Instead, the north-south isobases for the "Neolithic Sea" should to a relatively high degree explain the geographic distribution of sites. It is suggested that a re-direction of the isostatic uplift pattern has occurred sometime during the last c. 5000 years. This shift could have taken place as a slow deformation of the bedrock and/or as neotectonic movements along existing fault lines.

Opis:
Tsunami deposits were unknown along the southern coast of the Baltic Sea for a long time. The results of present research provided evidence of high-energy event layers. They occur on the bottom of two hemispherical hollows that are cut into glaciolimnic silt and glaciofluvial sand and gravel from the Late Weichselian Age. The event deposits are represented by poorly sorted marine sand with admixtures of pebbles and allochthonous detritus of biogenic origin: marine, brackish and occasionally freshwater shells and shell debris of molluscs and snails, plant macrofossils from the marine nearshore zone, shreds and lumps of peaty material, gyttja and organogenic silt, lumps of charcoal, wood pieces and tree branches and trunks. All these features are commonly considered indicative of tsunamis. The age of the biogenic detritus found in the tsunami layer ranges from 10 390 to 6 630 cal. yr BP, whereas the oldest gyttja covering the event layers is 6 600 cal. yr BP old. This means that the tsunami occurred between 6 630 and 6 600 cal. yr BP. Various causes of tsunami event have been taken into consideration, including the impact of meteorites within the coastal plain and the littoral zone of the southern Baltic Sea.

Opis:
Transport integrals I$\text{}_{n}$(Θ$\text{}_{D}$/T) are reviewed with their applications in solid-state physics, molecular dynamics, and electron spin-lattice relaxation. Analytical approximations of I$\text{}_{n}$ for n=2-8 are proposed as applicable for computer fitting procedures in the range of the variable x=Θ$\text{}_{D}$/T from 0.1 to 40. The results are applied for description of the spin-lattice relaxation data collected for Cu$\text{}^{2+}$ ions in triglycine sulphate and are compared with relaxation data for Cu$\text{}^{2+}$ and Mn$\text{}^{2+}$ in (NH$\text{}_{4}$)$\text{}_{2}$Mg(SO$\text{}_{4}$)$\text{}_{2}$·6H$\text{}_{2}$O.
