Opis:: Dealing with discourses produced in Contemporary Popular Music, it is usual in contemporary youth’s imaginary to find rock considered as metonymic with authenticity, remaining as a movement an outstanding extension of Romanticism. Then, when drawing out its motifs from Satanism, successful rock lyrics need a rhetorical stylization in order to construct persuading songs beyond traditional morals. The main goal of this article is to analyze and compare this kind of stylization in Rolling Stones’s Sympathy for the Devil and Jesucristo García, written by the Spanish band Extremoduro, taking them both as examples of popularized dramatic monologues that present the topic of attraction of Evil performed by devilish figures.

Opis:: The essay Littérature et engagement: De Pascal à Sartre, written by the Belgian Benoît Denis, presents several critical problems about poetry and commitment. In the present article we will analyze some of these questions taking into account some important points about the changing of connotations and interpretations on forms of poetry and on poetry itself in the last century. Furthermore, this process of analyzing will provide a reconsideration of nowadays approximations to committed poetry from the critical point of view.

Opis:: Being one of the best-known poets of the still-alive vanguard generation in Catalonia because of his poignant poems recitations, in his book Comenęament dels comenęaments i ocasió de les ocasions (Beginning o f Beginnigs and Occasion o f Occasions) Enric Casassas rebuilds a medieval composition, the in-baroque-times-developed sextina, which takes the form of a poem entitled “Sextina”. The author introduces a set of new elements giving the poem a metapoetics dimension. At the same time, its verses describe a subtle formal incursion into the ideological confrontation of some Catalan literary movements. It concludes with a romanticism and vanguard antibourgeois deal. In that frame, the poem is analysed from the point of view of three different approaches: A versified reconsideration of some Aristotelian concepts, desire as an unreachable Freudian lack and the performance of sexual voice playing the role of an actual poetry-producing power.
