    Zaprezentowano formy zaopatrzenia gospodarstw rolniczych w środki do produkcji, jak również sposoby i kierunki zbytu produktów rolniczych w zależności od zróżnicowania powiązań gospodarstw z otoczeniem. Stwierdzono, iż w gospodarstwach o silniejszych powiązaniach z otoczeniem częściej korzystano z usług stałych dostawców środków do produkcji, jak i stałych odbiorców produktów rolniczych.
    The aim of his paper is the presentation of ways the farms buying inputs and selling their products depends of the level of the market orientation of the farms. It was assumed that there were more often constant farm suppliers and product buyers in the farm group with high level of market dependency.

    Opis:
    In this article, based on regression analysis, an attempt was made to determine the relationship between sales and leasing of agricultural land belonging to the Agricultural Property Stock of the State Treasury and the valorization of the agricultural productive area. Authors analyzed the static and dynamic level of sales prices of the agricultural land and the amount of rents generated in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Research, in which statistical units were districts, covered years 2007–2008. As a result of the research it was found that the selling price of the agricultural land and the size of the rent for the property leased from Agricultural Property Stock of the State Treasury in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship is not dependent on the valorization of the agricultural productive area. The lack of dependence means that the quality and relevance of the agricultural soil is not a critical determinant of the selling price and the amount of rent gained.

    The paper presents selected results of geophysical surveys carried out in the “Polkowice-Sieroszowice” copper mine in Lower Silesia, Poland. The aim of complex geophysical measurements was the analysis of the usefulness of selected electromagnetic methods for locating ore mineralisation zones in mining conditions. The results were obtained from surveys conducted along profiles designed on the side-wall by the roof, in the middle and the floor of the excavation. Electromagnetic Profiling and Ground Penetrating Radar techniques were applied for outlining the mineralisation zones consisting of Cu, Pb and Fe. The variability of geophysical recordings depending on the degree of mineralisation and distribution of fractures induced by mining activity were analysed. The results of geophysical surveys were correlated to petrophysical parameters and laboratory data concerning the percentages of Cu, Pb and Fe in samples taken from the side-wall at the survey site.

    Introduction and objectives: In the United States, breast cancer (BC) is the most common non-skin cancer. In Poland, it is estimated that the number of new breast cancer cases affects about 13,500 women each year. There are many methods for nutritional status assessment. One of them is bioimpedance analysis (BIA). Direct bioimpedance measures (resistance, reactance, phase angle (PA)) determined by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) detectf changes in tissue electrical properties. The study was conducted to investigate whether there are any tissue electrical differences in patients with breast cancer. Materials and methods: The direct bioimpedance measures determined by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) were performed on 34 patients with BC and 34 healthy volunteers. The measurements were made with ImpediMed bioimpedance analysis SFB7 BioImp v1.55 (Pinkenba Qld 4008, Australia). Results: Reactance and resistance at 50 kHz was found to be significantly greater in patients with BC than in the control group (53.59° ± 1.53 vs. 47.26° ± 1.25, respectively, p=0.0031; 603.24° ± 15.38 ohm vs. 515.87° ± 11.48 ohm, respectively, p=0.00004). Conclusion: Pre-surgical patients diagnosed with BC have altered tissue electrical properties. Further observations of a larger patient group would be valuable to calculate survival, validate the prognostic significance of PA, and monitor nutritional and therapeutic interventions in this patient population.
