    As it is well known surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices implementing shear horizontal (SH) waves can be used as sensor operating in liquid environment. They can be used to determine such liquid properties as: viscosity, permittivity, conductivity and mass loading on the sensor surface. The influence of number of electrodes used in the interdigital transducers, on sensor attenuation and sensitivity was considered. The utility of various piezoelectric materials as substrates for liquid sensors was also tested. Three various materials were taken into account: 36oYX LiTaO3, 41oYX LiNbO3 and 64oYX LiNbO3. Two types of sensors (wideband and narrowband) were made and examined.

    Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices are used in variety of sensing application. This paper describes the sensors operated with shear horizontal (SH) mode wave, in liquid. Liquid sensors of conductivity and viscosity are described and results of modelling of their properties are given. Parameters of SH mode sensors design are also given.

    Opis:
    Most surface wave filters use interdigital transducers on piezoelectric substates to produce chirp filters. Alternate type of filter use controlled reflection of surface waves from surface gratings. The second type (RAC - Reflective Array Compressor) are free of spurious signal and second order effects, and in large time-bandwith application are better than filter based on interdigital transduces. Designing method, technology and practical results of RAC filter with two 90 degree reflections are presented.

    W artykule przedstawiono metodykę określania wpływu deformacji terenu powodowanych szkodami górniczymi, wynikłymi z eksploatacji podziemnej, na pracę linii napowietrznych. Przedstawiono przykładowe wyniki obliczeń naprężeń w przewodach i ich zwisów oraz sposób określania wpływu czynników mogących łagodzić skutki deformacji.
    The article features a method to define the effect of underground mining-related earth deformations on the work of overhead cables. The authors presented sample results of stresses calculations in the cables and their slacks, as well as a method to define the factors that would mitigate the deformation results.

    In this paper, the degree of contamination of water was determined from anthropogenic reservoirs, located in the area of former coal mine Rozbark in Bytom. The physicochemical analysis of water indicated a high degree of anthropopression. In all analyzed reservoirs, permissible concentrations of chlorides and sulphates were exceeded. In the majority of them, the values of electrical conductivity and total suspended solids were also exceeded. In order to determine the transformation of surface water contamination, there was a comparison of archival data of water quality and laboratory tests performed after five years. Comparative analysis shows that in the last five years, there has been no improvement in the quality of the analyzed surface waters. In fact deterioration of the quality was noticeable.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy zakresu i możliwości wprowadzenia napięć wyższych od 6 kV w sieciach rozdzielczych i zasilających podziemnych zakładów górniczych. W analizie uwzględniono uwarunkowania wynikające z dopuszczalnej obciążalności i wytrzymałości zwarciowej kabli i aparatury, a także bezpieczeństwa eksploatacji urządzeń elektrycznych.
    The results of analysis of a range and chances of using the voltages higher than 6 kV in distribution and power supply networks at underground mines have been presented in the paper. In the analysis there have been taken into consideration the requirements resulted from limiting load-carrying capacity and short-circuit strength of cables and apparatus as well as a safety of operation of electric equipment.

    Background. The objective of this study was to evaluate the strongyles species in 34 Pure Blood Arabian Horses: one−year−old mares (n=12) and two−year old mares (n=22) from the horse stud in 2005, kept under housed−pastured system and dewormed systematically, twice a year using the ivermectin compounds. Material and methods. The practical method of in vivo determination of strongyles species in horses is collection of these nematodes from the feaces after treatment. Nematodes were collected 24 hours after deworming from 1000 g sample of feaces, then were classified to appropriate species and relative abundance of strongyles community was determined. Results. In the feaces of horses after treatment 10 species of cyathostomes was determined: Cyathostomum catinatum (CAT), C. pateratum (PAT), Cylicocyclus nassatus (NAS), C. ashworti (ASH), C. leptostomus (LEP), C. insigne (INS), Cylicostephanus longibursatus (LNG), C. goldi (GLD), C. calicatus (CAL) and Coronocyclus coronatus (COR). No large strongyles (Strongylinae) was found. The relative abundance was the highest for following cyathostomes species: NAS (22%), CAT (18.1%), INS (17.7%), PAT (13.8%), LNG (9.1%) and LEP (8.2%). The relative abundance of cyathostomes species was similar in both group of mares. On the other hand CAL (15.8%) was common for the one−year−old mares and INS (25%) for the two−year−old mares. In vivo diagnositic of the infection is important from the perspective of individual small strongyle infections dynamics in horses and because of possible different pathogenicity of individual species of these nematodes.
