Opis:
Mathematical analysis for 3D Williamson nanofluid flow past a bi-directional stretched surface in Darcy-Forchheimer permeable media constitutes the focus of this study. The novelty of the proposed model is augmented by the addition of thermal and solutal stratification with chemical species and variable thermal conductivity. Calculations of the suggested model are conducted via the renowned homotopy analysis method (HAM). The results obtained are validated by comparing them in a limiting form with an already published article. Excellent harmony is achieved in this regard. Graphical structures, depicting impacts of assorted arising parameters versus the profiles involved are also provided. It is noticed that the velocity profile is a dwindling function of the Williamson parameter and Hartmann number. It is also stated that the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux exhibits conventional Fourier and Fick’s laws behavior when both coefficients of thermal and concentration relaxations are zero.

Opis:
Copper coatings containing well-distributed multiwalled carbon nanotubes were obtained by pulse electrodeposition in acidic sulfate bath in order to improve the microhardness and wear resistance of coatings. Multiwalled carbon nanotubes concentration was determined as the most significant factor for the incorporation of multiwalled carbon nanotubes in copper based electrolyte. The amount of embedded multiwalled carbon nanotubes and the microhardness of nanocomposites were found to increase with the increase of multiwalled carbon nanotubes in the electrolyte. The tribological properties of nanocomposites deposited by pulse electrocodeposition technique were studied by reciprocating ball on-disk method. The characterization of the coatings was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction facilities. The experimental results indicated that the wear resistance of copper composite is superior to that of pure copper. The friction coefficient and wear rates decreased with the increase in the concentration of multiwalled carbon nanotubes in the electrolyte.

Opis:
In this work, Sn-Cu composite powders were produced using an electroless process. The tin content on the surface of copper powders was varied by using different concentrations of SnSO₄ in the plating bath. The surface morphology of the produced Sn-Cu composite powders was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) was used to determine the elemental surface composition of the composites. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was performed to investigate the structure of the Sn-Cu composite powders. The electrochemical performance of Sn-Cu nanocomposites was studied by charge/discharge tests.

Opis:
The leaching behaviour of a sulphide gold-silver ore was investigated in terms of a relationship between gold and silver extractions and cyanide consumption. Ninity five Au % and 88.0% Ag extractions were obtained under the determined conditions of 24 h leaching duration, -74 μm particle size, 40% solids ratio, 4 g/dm3 NaCN concentration, and 450 rpm stirring speed with NaCN consumption of 3.35 g/dm3. Since the NaCN consumption was higher than in industrial applications, Pb(NO3)2 and H2O2 additions and aeration using an air pump were tested during leaching in order to decrease the consumption. While Pb(NO3)2 addition with aeration caused a decrease in the metal extractions, the individual or combined additions of H2O2 and aeration could not provide a reduction in the cyanide consumption. Therefore, the effect of the pre-aeration followed by cyanidation was tested. Eventually, applying 4 h of pre-aeration before a shorter leaching duration of 12 h provided 92.0% Au and 90.5% Ag extractions with a reduced NaCN consumption of 2.44 g/dm3.
