Opis:
Kinetics of the polymerization of UO2 2+ ion to UO2[(OH)2UO2]4 2+ in the ammonia-uranyl nitrate system has been studied. The deepening of the color formed with the addition of ammonia made it possible to estimate spectrophotometrically the concentration of the formed UO2[(OH)2UO2]4 2+ ions in the solution at 420.6 nm. The effects of pH, temperature as well as the concentration of uranyl ion have been investigated. The reaction rate equation for the polymerization reaction is presented. Linear dependencies of logarithm of the apparent reaction-rate constant on both pH and the reverse of temperature were observed.

Opis:
In this work, heterojunctions of $Cu_2S//p-Si$ were prepared by high vacuum thermal evaporation technique and examined as a photodetector structure. The dark current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of the heterojunctions measured at different temperatures ranging from 303 to 373 K were investigated. The predominant conduction mechanisms, series resistance, ideality factor and potential barrier height were determined. The downward curvature at sufficiently large voltages in the I-V characteristics is caused by the effect of series resistance $R_{s}$. The ideality factor obtained from I-V characteristics is larger than unity which can be attributed to the presence of a thin interfacial insulator layer between the metal and semiconductor. The photocurrent properties of the device under reverse bias using various illuminations were also explored for checking the validity of photodetector application of the studied device. The responsivity of light for the device under reverse bias confirms that the $Cu_2S//p-Si$ heterojunctions are valid for photodetector application. Moreover, these results suggest that the fabricated diode can be used for optical sensor applications. The capacitance-voltage characteristics of diode were also investigated at high frequency of 1 MHz.

Opis:
Nanodiagonastic methods in plant pathology are used for enhancing detection and identification of different plant pathogens and toxigenic fungi. Improvement of the specificity and efficiency of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by using some nanoparticles is emerging as a new area of research. In the current research, silver, zinc, and gold nanoparticles were used to increase the yield of DNA for two plant pathogenic fungi including soil-borne fungus Rhizoctonia solani and toxigenic fungus Alternaria alternata. Gold nanoparticles combined with zinc and silver nanoparticles enhanced both DNA yield and PCR products compared to DNA extraction methods with ALB buffer, sodium dodecyl sulfate, ALBfree from protinase K, ZnNPs and AgNPs. Also, by using ZnNPs and AgNPs the DNA yield was enhanced and the sensitivity of random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) PCR products was increased. Application of nanomaterials in the PCR reaction could increase or decrease the PCR product according to the type of applied nanometal and the type of DNA template. Additions of AuNPs to PCR mix increased both sensitivity and specificity for PCR products of the tested fungi. Thus, the use of these highly stable, commercially available and inexpensive inorganic nano reagents open new opportunities for improving the specificity and sensitivity of PCR amplicon, which is the most important standard method in molecular plant pathology and mycotoxicology.
