Solar radiation coming to a solar panel is absorbed and converted into thermal energy, increasing its temperature. This study is focused on the solar thermal panels. As known, the analysis of thermal performance of the collector includes such parameters as solar irradiance, ambient temperature and configuration of collectors etc. In this study, thermal analysis of the absorbent plate of a flat plate solar collector and the temperature transfer to the working fluid, were investigated. During thermal analysis the absorbent plate was considered as an one-dimensional fin. It is assumed that lower surface of the solar panel is ideally insulated in this study. Therefore solar irradiance and heat loss to the environment are analyzed at the upper surface of the absorber plate. This study is aimed to investigate the relations of temperature distribution on the absorber plate and heat transfer from the absorber plate to the fluid. The achievable maximum fluid temperature at the practical working conditions, which quantifies the availability of usable heat energy, obtained by the collector, has been determined as a function of solar irradiance. Procedure is based on steady state analysis and on calculation of the thermal performance of flat-plate collector. The effects of the parameters, which determine the collector efficiency, have been investigated by evaluating all results. Results show that the flat-plate collector performs good and provides the desired quantity of hot water.

In the solar energy application, there are several obstacles during the design of projects. The investors are still enforcing with deliberately carrying out the right and feasible project decision. In this point simulation techniques have been emerging their indispensable importance. Thereby the simulation can be used as an adaptive purpose not only during the design process of a plant but also for the existing plants efficacy while determining operational condition of solar system on a daily basis by probabilistic methods due to random characteristics of the meteorological data. This study mainly consists two parts. The first part of this study overarches the review of existing software tools and models which are reachable at the preparation time of this study. Then the reviewed software tools and models were classified briefly in the figures. The second part of the study outlines the developed new code in C# computer programming language for the solar calculations. The results which were obtained framed the developed code, were evaluated with the convenient existing software tools and models for assessment of their correlation and also the results were demonstrated with graphs for their utilization. Consequently the software systems were enlightened that are mostly used in scientific projects including solar software simulation packages and modeling background together with comparison of separate or combined PV software programs by their field of application which would bolster further research studies.

Solar heating is known as one of the cleanest and cost-effective technologies that inherently reduces cost of energy and dependency on imported fuels while being applied and used in commercial and product applications in the industry. The modus operandi of this study introduces a procedure that was coined as "Two Colored Rainbow" which is used to represent two different applications using by solar tracer, rather than the direct application of solar thermal system. Two rainbow system traps the heat from the sun (solar radiation) and transfer the heat to water or to air for use as thermal energy by the aid of solar panels that the system is coupled with solar tracer. The vacuum tube and flat type collectors were used as an experimental portion of this study while the effective utilization of solar energy on a daily basis has been identified by the algorithm that has been developed in C# to determine how many percentage of an hotel's energy in Istanbul which serves up to five hundred guest capacity need could be compensated by providing optimum size and quantity of solar collectors.

The sun radiation is the largest renewable energy source on the planet which can be used in technology by means of thermal, photovoltaic and concentrated solar power systems. In this study, two types of solar collectors, called the "Two Colored Rainbow System", were used as a source for water heating at the Faculty of Science and Letters, at Istanbul Technical University. The performance of solar water heating system was experimentally investigated. In the experimental study, the temperature of hot water storage tank versus time of the day was investigated. The average daily solar radiation at a location is often sufficient for a basic system analysis. The radiation of sun varies according to the location, date, time and conditions of climate. The change of sun radiation was computed using a determined set of parameters. This study was aimed to offer optimization of design parameters taking into account possible interferences during the operation of the system. Additionally, hourly solar radiation on tilted surfaces is measured in Istanbul. Data of solar radiation intensity were also collected using a standard solarimeter (pyrometer) via a data logger.

Opis:
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) estimates that 10 million shipments of radio-active materials are transported annually. Each shipment is made up of either a single package or a number of packages transported from one location to another. The vast majority of these shipments, some 95%, relate to non-fuel cycle transports such as the transport of smoke detectors, and cobalt sources for medical purposes. Only 5% relate to nuclear fuel cycle transports. This study investigates the safety stability aspect, harmonized regulation based transportation, sustaining shipment aspect for the transportation of radioactive materials by ships. Consequently the originality of this paper appears the alignment of existing maritime rules and regulations with the IAEA regulations in order to provide easy understanding and usage for the establishment of code of safe and secure practices for seafarers with the countermeasures and harmonized regulations that are practically implemented by the navigation officers and Master.

Tenrecs (Tenrecoidea) and golden moles(Chrysochloroidea) are among the most enigmatic mammals alive today. Molecular data strongly support their inclusion in the morphologically diverse clade Afrotheria, and suggest that the two lineages split near the K−T boundary, but the only undoubted fossil representatives of each superfamily are from early Miocene (~20 Ma) deposits in East Africa. A recent analysis of partial mandibles and maxillae of Eochrysochloris, Jawharia, and Widanelfarasia, from the latest Eocene and earliest Oligocene of Egypt, led to the suggestion that the derived “zalambdomorph” molar occlusal pattern (i.e., extreme reduction or loss of upper molar metacones and lower molar talonids) seen in tenrecoids and chrysochloroids evolved independently in the two lineages, and that tenrecoids might be derived from a dilambdomorph group of “insectivoran−grade” placentals that includes forms such as Widanelfarasia. Here I describe the oldest afrosoricid from the Fayum region, ~37 Ma Dilambdogale gheerbranti gen. et sp. nov., and the youngest, ~30 Ma Qatranilestes oligocaenus gen. et sp. nov. Dilambdogale is the most generalized of the Fayum afrosoricids, exhibiting relatively broad and well−developed molar talonids and a dilambdomorph arrangement of the buccal crests on the upper molars, whereas Qatranilestesis the most derived in showing relatively extreme reduction of molar talonids. These occurrences are consistent with a scenario in which features of the zalambdomorph occlusal complex were acquired independently and gradually through the later Paleogene. Phylogenetic analysis places Dilambdogale and Widanelfarasia as sister taxa to the exclusion of crown afrosoricids, but derived features that these taxa share with early Miocene Protenrec hint at the possibility that both taxa might be stem tenrecoids. Late Paleocene Todralestes and Afrodon from Morocco are similarly placed as stem afrosoricids, indicating that African adapisoriculids (including Garatherium) might also be relevant to the origin of the tenrecoid and chrysochloroid clades.

Photovoltaics (PV) is becoming a mainstream electricity provider and the need for PV cells will spike compared to current demand. Solar power is based on obtaining electricity from solar radiation by using either photovoltaic cells or concentrated solar power (CSP). Both systems have different requirement to the area and advantages. However, there are several common disadvantages, which are related to the initial cost and regulatory issues that prevent investors from starting up such projects. Based on these premises the utilization of the solar power was examined in this study by highlighting the world's sustainable energy potential and investment statistics. Therefore research analysis related to the solar energy potential is presented as well. Although, the sustainable energy is the future of the world and requires slightly less amount of expense after installation, compared to conventional energy sources, the installation costs are the predominant factor of the utilization of the sustainable energy technologies. Furthermore, this study makes an overview of the world's solar power capacity today and makes prediction for the future. This study presents comprehensive market data together with forecasts for the short-run, while the role of PV is discussed considering the demand of energy.

Er(r)go… ,wars for the canon: timeless wisdom or a legitimization of social order? Canon warrants and symbolically represents the imagined unity of a nation and its universal humanist values – such is the military potential of culture. Spivak: „Canons secure institutions to the same degree as institutions secure canons.” Hermeneutics of suspicion and a selective tradition of canon, with a pinch of social justice. Indians reject rationalism and linearity, redefinitions and paradigm changes are thus necessary. Perhaps canon as an intercultural dialogue: a white American, slave narratives and Indians’ ecosystemic, non-anthropocentric vision of the world, and also gender, other races, mixed breeds, diversity, and Jhumpa Lahiri. What about aesthetics? Ethics? Best to replace canon with canon without smoothing out the rough grain of politics and history. Synchronic and diachronic multiplication of canon.Further on, Różewicz’s exits: beyond collectivism, beyond singularity, beyond avant-garde, out of himself into nothing. Autotelic, indeterminate, elusive Różewicz. Repeated and inconclusive disappearance. Różewicz’s recycling and outrageously young poets. Różewicz as a letter of the poetic alphabet, and a paradoxical rigorist, and a realist, and a moralist, and the destroyer of canons, a wanderer through the spaces of canons reversed. And, at the end of the day, “there is no exit.” There is “poetry of trash dumps.” And is poetry actually edible, or not? Fairy tale registers and the glocalization of fairy tales. Do fairy tales have their canon? Fairy tale narratives and re-narratives. Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, and Snow White frolic in the canon. Little Red Riding Hood dies and defeats two wolves. Mother-in-law devours the children of the Sleeping Beauty, father forces Cinderella to marry him, little pigeons peck out her stepsisters’ eyes (only one each), Gretel stabs Baba Yaga with a knife and Hansel persuades the giant to cut the throats of his own children, and can become an SS-Mann at last. And ultimately, one can make money on fairy tales.What is the odour of being? Better not to smell. Cibulka with a bandaged penis – unrestrained creativity. Primal excess, danse macabre, self-aggression, obscenity, iconoclasm, scatology, killing animals. A kick in the butt of perverted dwarves and knödel fight in Vienna. A ban on monogamy. Murder is art: someone butchers a pig in bed. We are looking at a cheap landschaft of a mythical land of happiness with brown past. Orgy as a sacrament of existence. Visual grammar – body as intention, event, result. What of the soul? Do frogs have souls? Does a soul have gender? Aesthetization of a woman, who does not know metaphysics. Women’s sharp minds – ignorance does not lead to salvation. To have time or to live it? The spacing of time and the timing of space. The culture of a nanosecond – network as a detemporalized successor of the clock; eternal present; time as a frozen river. And in the knot of the tale, the protagonist can meet himself. How to record a tape for one’s younger self and how to warn it? Rigorous logic in an impossible plot, and the subject – a shuffled pile of photographs. Cliffordian ethics of belief, evidentialism, epistemic audacity, beliefs, meta-beliefs, sub-beliefs, ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat, a mountaineer’s leap over the chasm and the salvation of people on Earth. The canon of computer games; good games need no saving, as they save themselves, poor games should not be saved. Curious: when it becomes part of the canon, a work dies and ceases to exist; a work which does not belong to the canon dies and ceases to exist. Illusions of choice.Wojciech Kalaga
