Opis:: In the context of this article, the casual and vulgar idioms mentioned in Duden-11 “Redewendungen” are examined in terms of their motivation, meaning, frequency, style marking and their usage. First, they are extracted from this dictionary and examined for their origins. Next, they are divided by subjects. Furthermore, the style tags in dictionary are put to the test. This is initially done by using the analyses in the reference corpora together with a survey conducted among native speakers. Finally, a list of common, relatively frequent idioms is created, which can be used primarily in foreign language didactics.

Opis:: The article presents an exemplary corpus-based analysis of selected Norwegian idioms in order to gain insight into their theory and actual use. The analysis comprises nine frequent idioms with the component 'heart'. First, each idiom is analyzed using the Leksikografisk bokmålskorpus and Oslo-korpuset av taggende norske tekster in terms of: frequency, possible variants and modifications. Next, the results are compared with the lexicographic description from Norwegian dictionary Bokmålsordboka. The main purpose of this chapter is thereby to show the potential of the corpus-based approach in the studies of idiomatic expressions.

Opis:: In the context of this article, the crude and vulgar idioms mentioned in Duden-11 “Redewendungen” will be examined in terms of their motivation, meaning, frequency, style marking and their usage. Furthermore, the style tags used in the dictionary will be tested. This will be done by contrasting them to reference corpora before carrying out a survey among native speakers. Finally, a list of common, relatively frequent idioms will be created, which can then be used primarily in foreign language didactics.

Opis:: This article presents results of a corpus-based approach of selected somatisms taken from the list of Phraseologisches Optimum. The main purpose of this paper is to show the potentials of the corpus-based approach in studying idiomatic modifications and to focus on high frequency of some of them.
Modyfikacje związków frazeologicznych. Analiza korpusowa na przykładzie wybranych somatyzmów niemieckich W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy korpusowej wybranych somatyzmów niemieckich pochodzących z listy tzw. optimum frazeologicznego. Celem artykułu jest przede wszystkim ukazanie możliwości zastosowania korpusów w badaniu modyfikacji związków frazeologicznych oraz zwrócenie uwagi na wysoką frekwencję niektórych z nich.
