Opis:: IT systems are an inherent attribute of every enterprise. A Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a special program used to manage a warehouse. The article presents characteristics and assessment of applying WMS class IT systems in the context of the possibility to implement it into an enterprise’s logistics and its integration with Enterprise Research Planning (ERP) class systems. Advantages resulting from this system’s implementation into an enterprise’s logistics have been described. They show how crucial an appropriate IT software is for rational warehouse management. Another important aspect discussed in the article is the possibility of this system’s integration with a superior system of the enterprise (ERP) as well as other systems which use global standards of identification.

Opis:: City tourism belongs to the strongest trends in the international tourism market, which is especially the case in Europe, where eight out of twenty largest city destinations are located. Faced with growing competition these urban destinations have, however, to look for new marketing solutions to strengthen their position and attractiveness for potential visitors. One of them is a destination card which integrates a variety of tourism services provided by several operators at a discounted inclusive price. Therefore, it offers visitors an advantage by bundling the products and services available without the need for booking and buying in advance. By doing so, the card also fosters higher participation in cultural activities and public transport usage and offers additional benefits for the city which can include spreading the tourist traffic throughout the city or attracting visitors to lesser known sites. Additionally, the destination card system can also provide data concerning tourist flows and allows to adapt the offer better to their specific needs. The purpose of this paper is therefore to work out the model of a city destination card for a large city. In order to achieve this objective, the top five European capital cities were selected based on the number of visitors. Subsequently, the comparative study – developed on the secondary analysis of data – of tourist cards offered in London, Paris, Rome, Prague and Vienna has been conducted. Based on the study and referring to the literature, the final results were formulated concerning the typical structure of a card and its additional elements, followed by the validity period solutions and their price. Satisfied customers highlight that the offered card combines everything needed for the tourist stay, as in their opinion, cards tend to be a very easy, convenient and simple way of sightseeing the city with benefits such as saving money and time. They also recommend longer periods of card validity. The value of the destination card as a marketing tool for a city has also been proven based on the appraisal of customers opinions.

Opis:: In some patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), the causative agent of attack is stress (AF associated with adrenergic activity). In others, AF usually begins during relax or sleep (AF associated with vagal nerve dominance). This study aimed to investigate the individual factors associated with the adrenergic or vagal type of AF. This study included 138 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF). Sixty-eight patients reported that AF was frequently triggered by stress (sympathetic-type AF) and 70 patients reported that AF usually began during relaxation or sleep (vagal-type AF). Gender, age, ejection fraction, and temperament were compared across the two groups. Temperament was evaluated using the Formal Characteristics of Behaviour-Temperament Inventory. The groups differed only in temperament. Patients with sympathetic-type AF had a higher score for emotional reactivity (p = 0.002) and perseverance (p = 0.002) temperament traits and a lower score for endurance (p = 0.003) than patients with vagal-type AF and than the average in population.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono zmiany, jakie zaszły w sposobie prowadzenia szkoleń bibliotecznych podczas pandemii Covid-19. Zajęcia prowadzone dotychczas w formie blended learning, a więc częściowo na miejscu w Bibliotece Głównej, częściowo na platformie Moodle, przybrały w roku akademickim 2020/2021 wyłącznie formę kształcenia zdalnego. Omówienie zawiera analizę zarówno wszystkich elementów kursu, jak i kształconych w jego trakcie kompetencji.
This article describes how library induction training is given during the pandemic. Before changes brought about by the pandemic crisis these classes for first-year students were given in a form of blended-learning - partly onsite in the Main Library and partly online on the Moodle e-Learning platform. As a result of the pandemic, this training has been redesigned and for the academic year 2020/2021 library induction training for students will be conducted online only.

Opis:: Wprowadzenie i cel pracy. Z badań epidemiologicznych wynika, że 43% kobiet i 46% mężczyzn spełnia kryteria zaburzeń seksualnych. Etiologia zaburzeń seksualnych jest wieloczynnikowa. Uwzględnia czynniki biologiczne, psychiczne i społeczne. Celem pracy była ocena poziomu funkcjonowania seksualnego młodych kobiet i mężczyzn oraz ich ocena w odniesieniu do wybranych zmiennych (wieku, miejsca zamieszkania, roku studiów i sytuacji materialnej). Materiał i metoda. Badaniem, które przeprowadzono w okresie od października 2014 roku do czerwca 2015 roku, objęto studentów Podhalańskiej Państwowej Wyższej Szkoły Zawodowej w Nowym Targu oraz studentów Śląskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Katowicach, w wieku między 18. a 25. rokiem życia, łącznie 1269 osób. Badanie zostało przeprowadzone metodą sondażu diagnostycznego z wykorzystaniem techniki ankietowej. Narzędzia badawcze stanowiły: samodzielnie opracowany kwestionariusz badawczy, Indeks Funkcji Seksualnych Kobiet (FSFI) oraz Indeks Funkcji Seksualnych Mężczyzn (IIEF). Wyniki. Większość respondentów zainicjowała życie seksualne. Dysfunkcje seksualne stwierdzono u 19,69% kobiet i 34% mężczyzn. Wykazano, że kobiety deklarujące bardzo dobrą sytuację materialną uzyskały najwyższą średnią punktację skali FSFI (30,61 ± 3,29). Zależności takiej nie wykazano w grupie mężczyzn. Stwierdzono natomiast istotną statystycznie zależność między liczbą punktów uzyskaną w skali IIFE a wiekiem badanych mężczyzn (p=0,04). Wnioski. Dysfunkcje seksualne częściej dotyczą mężczyzn niż kobiet. Funkcjonowanie seksualne mężczyzn dodatnio koreluje z wiekiem. U kobiet funkcjonowanie seksualne pozytywnie koreluje z rokiem studiów oraz ich sytuacją materialną.
Introduction and objective. According to epidemiological research 43% of females and 46% of males meet the criteria for sexual dysfunction. Etiology of sexual dysfunctions is multifactorial. It takes into consideration biological, mental and social factors. The aim of the study was evaluation of sexual functioning among young females and males and its assessment in regard to the selected variables (age, place of residence, year of study and financial situation). Materials and method. The research was conducted among the students between 18 and 25 years of age from Podhale State College of Applied Sciences in Nowy Targ and Medical University of Silesia in Katowice between October 2014 and June 2015. 1269 students participated in the study. The study was conducted via a diagnostic survey and the use of questionnaire method. Research tools were as follows: a self-developed questionnaire, Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF). Results. Most of the respondents initiated their sexual life. Sexual dysfunctions were detected among 19.69% of females and 34% of males. The acquired data shows that the females declaring very good financial situation got the highest average score from the FSFI scale (30.61±3.29). Such dependency was not identified among the males. However, statistically significant correlation between the number of points in the IIFE scale and the age of the studied males was detected (p=0.04). Conclusion. Sexual dysfunctions are more frequent among males than females. In addition, sexual functioning of males has a positive correlation with age. Among females sexual functioning has a positive correlation with the year of study and their financial situation.
