    Opis:
    Nicknames, also treated as usernames, pseudonyms or as a subclass of pseudonyms, denote non-official personal names in German. They are names given by people themselves and therefore mostly self-chosen and not adopted by others in digital network communication, be it in chats, on forums, when gaming on the Internet, on social media, etc. This article deals with a contrastive examination of the German and Polish nicknames in selected digital network communications. After a semantic, morphological, syntactic, graphostilistic and lexical classification, the nicknames of both languages are compared. This article is intended to signal certain tendencies in the choice of the appropriate nicknames in both languages.

    Deutschland ist ein Land mit einer langen Migrationsgeschichte. Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich eine multikulturelle Gesellschaft entwickelt, die das Leben in der Bundes- republik prägt. Dieser Artikel verwendet statistische Daten, um die Migrationssituation des Landes zu signalisieren. Daher werden sowohl das Ausmaß der Migration nach Deutschland als auch nationale Unterschiede zwischen Migranten dargestellt. Die Folgen der Migration für Deutschland werden getrennt nach wirtschaftlichen, religiösen und kulturellen Faktoren dargestellt. Die Bewertung der Migration gestalltet sich recht schwierig, da sie je nach dem untersuchten Gebiet bzw. Bereich unterschiedlich darstellt. In allen Sektoren - wirtschaftlich, kulturell und sozial - gibt es sowohl positive als auch negative Folgen der Migration.
    Germany is a country with a long migration history. Over the years, a multicultural society has formed that shapes life in the Federal Republic. This article uses statistical data to signal the country’s migration situation. Thus, both the extent of immigration to Germany and the national differences of migrants are presented. The consequences of migration for Germany are presented separately according to economic, religious and cultural factors. An assessment of the migration is very difficult as it varies according to the spectrum studied. In all sectors, whether economic, cultural or social, there are both positive and negative consequences of migration.

    Przedmiotem analizy w niniejszymi artykule są zmiany w nazewnictwie ulic w Schwerin an der Warthe/Skwierzyna. Punkt wyjścia stanowi teza, że semantyka nazwy ulic wpływała na proces przekształcenia nazw. Pierwszym etapem była zatem semantyczna klasyfikacja niemieckich nazw ulic. Analiza wykazała, iż część niemieckich nazw ulic została przetłumaczona, ale większą część całkowicie zmieniono. Proces tworzenia nowego nazewnictwa ulic był jednym ze środków polonizacji tych terenów. Większość nazw ulic w Skwierzynie oczyszczono ze wszelkich niemieckich naleciałości. Nawet spośród niemieckich nazw ulic o neutralnym charakterze przetłumaczono zaledwie co drugą.
    The first step of the analysis was a semantic classification of German street names as it was thought that the semantics affected the process of changes in the names of streets. The analysis showed that some of the street names were translated, the greater part, however, was completely changed. The process of new naming was one of the measures of Polonization of the areas. Most street names in Skwierzyna were cleared of any German traces. Even the street names of a neutral character were translated barely in 50 per cent.

    Opis:
    Formative specifics of the German language creates particular conditions for forming neologisms and the related linguistic creativity. The degree to which neologisms are formed in contemporary German can be for instance easily observed upon the ‘Wortwarte’ project. Some of the neologisms considered as such by the authors of the ‘Wortwarte’ project shall be discussed in this article. The object of the linguistic analysis are neologisms from the world of politics. During analysis some interesting aspects referring to the form and specifics of contemporary neologisms have been pointed out i.e. word class presented by the analysed neologisms, their construction (i.e formative models upon which they have been formed), their components (i.e. native or foreign elements constituting them) as well as their semantics.
