Opis:
Supervised self-organizing map, a type of artificial neural network, is applied for classification of human breast tissue samples utilizing data obtained from fluorescence landscape measurements. Female breast tissue samples were taken soon after the surgical resection, identified and stored at -80°C until fluorescence measurements. From fluorescence landscapes obtained in UV-VIS region spectral features showing statistically significant differences between malignant and normal samples are identified and further quantified to serve as a training input to neural network. Additional set of samples was used as a test group input to trained network in order to evaluate performance of proposed optical biopsy method. Classification sensitivity of 83.9% and specificity of 88.9% are found.

We study phenomenon of electromagnetically induced absorption in the Hanle configuration by solving time-dependent optical Bloch equations for the case of the closed multilevel $F_g$=1 → $F_e$=2 transition. Our model gives optical Bloch equations as a non-homogeneous system of ordinary linear differential equations. For weak laser fields (Ω ≪ Γ i.e. Rabi frequency small compared to spontaneous emission rate), a perturbative method to solve linear differential equations can be applied. Perturbative method is realized by solving (in the time-domain) higher-order corrections to the density matrix which in the sum converge to the exact solution of optical Bloch equations. By its form, each successive correction is also system of ordinary linear differential equations which depends on the solution of previous ones. Corrections are partitioned such that odd give corrections to optical coherences, while even give corrections to populations and Zeeman coherences. We present numerical results for the behavior of density matrix elements with successive corrections, and compare them with exact solution of optical Bloch equations. Electromagnetically induced absorption is observed as a 4th and higher (even) correction to populations, when behavior in respect to both time and magnetic field is viewed. Since in our method each correction depends on the solution of previous ones, we can analyze how (through mechanism of transfer of coherences and transfer of populations between Zeeman sublevels) electromagnetically induced absorption is formed. We also discuss qualitative differences in the behavior (with respect to time) of certain density matrix elements for magnetic fields "inside" and "outside" electromagnetically induced absorption resonance.

The valuation of past experience and the survey of needs and staff currently in the service dealing with protection in emergency situations give rather dissonant tones that are in collision with the general security of citizens in Serbia. VTŠ has been actively involved in the protection of Serbia’s population from the discussed types of risk because we have realized that modern protection requires an integrated approach in order to be implemented properly. 1. Through the analysis of activities of the rescuer within any rescue measure the existence of high-level risks can be observed. Numerous measures that can be applied cannot significantly reduce the risk. Experience shows that the basic measure is the training of the rescuer. Therefore, in the educational process there should be two directions of engagement, in particular: a) Establishment of programmes with as much practical work as possible to gain practical experience; and b) Such programmes with practical content require suitable conditions, i.e. space or training grounds for practicing. 2. There is a significant issue at the second (specialist) study level – how much time or credits are necessary to achieve quality education. The law specifies from 60 to 120 credits, or 1–2 years. Hence, this is the framework within which we should look for an answer. From the above, it can be concluded that a detailed analysis of plans and programmes as well as their harmonization with real state and needs is necessary. Other plans and programmes in the area of protection which the School has accredited and the possibility of further development must not be forgotten. It is likely that there are possibilities of creating new study programmes in the field of protection within the overall protection system in Serbia.

Using the $\text{}^2S_{1//2}$ $F_g$=2→$\text{}^2P_{3//2}$ $F_e$=3 transition in $\text{}^{87}Rb$, we analyzed the interaction between the arbitrarily polarized laser light and Zeeman sublevels in the Hanle configuration. We studied theoretically and confirmed experimentally that the effect of the laser light polarization on the electromagnetically induced absorption strongly depends on the laser light power. For the same atomic transition, and for single laser light power (3 mW), it was recently shown that electromagnetically induced absorption line widths increase with polarization ellipticity and that electromagnetically induced absorption amplitude has maximum for certain laser light polarization different than linear. Here, we present results for amplitudes and widths of electromagnetically induced absorption for different laser light polarizations and for the laser light power≤ 200μW. It is verified that for small laser light power maximal electromagnetically induced absorption amplitude is for the linear polarization, whereas for larger power maximum of the electromagnetically induced absorption is at higher polarization ellipticity.

In this paper are presented investigation results of tensile strength and elongation of selected alloys from Pt-Rh system. Samples with the content of rhodium in a concentration range of 7-40% (wt.) were studied. Studies were performed in the temperature range 1100-1500°C at a stress of 2-20 MPa. A universal device for measuring hardness was used to measure the Vickers hardness. For investigation of time strength and elongation at high temperatures, the device Mayes MK2 TC/10 was used. It was found that the value of tensile strength increases with increasing rhodium content, and decreases with increasing temperature. Elongation decreases to 7% Rh, then increases with increasing rhodium content to 15% and then slowly decreases again. With increasing temperature there is a slight increase in elongation.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań wytrzymałości na rozciąganie i wydłużenia wybranych stopów z układu Rh-Pt. Zbadane zostały próbki z zawartości rodu w zakresie 7-40% wag. Pomiar twardości Vickersa przeprowadzono w zakresie temperatur 1100-1500°C, przy naprężeniu 2-20 MPa, przy użyciu uniwersalnego urządzenia do pomiaru twardości. Do badania wytrzymałościna rozciąganie i wydłużenia w wysokich temperaturach zastosowano urządzenie Mayes MK2TC/10. Stwierdzono, że wytrzymałość na rozciąganie zwiększa się wraz ze wzrostem zawartości rodu i zmniejsza się wraz ze wzrostem temperatury. Wydłużenie zwiększa się wraz ze wzrostem zawartości rodu od 7% do 15%, a następnie powoli zmniejsza się ponownie w zakresie od 15% do 40% rodu. Wraz ze wzrostem temperatury obserwowany jest niewielki wzrost wydłużenia.
