Opis:: In the paper were done some comparative tests of direct and alternating dynamometers with power-electronic device witch has possibility of returning energy to the main. There were used three types of motors witch had near the same rated torque and different speed. As criteria of the evaluation were used the values of stray load losses (method B), the dispersion of measured points, the fluctuation of tested motor input power and the shape of the current returned into the main. The measurements of torque were made by three devices a torque-meter, a force sensor and an electronic scale. There were presented the results of the tests, analysis of this results, conclusion, advantages and disadvantages of the devices.

Opis:: This paper presents the results of estimating method of the energy consumed by induction motors and the legal situation concerning the efficiency of electrical motors in the European Union. Three elements of a new method of induction motor efficiency determination are described: methodology of taking into account the influence of non-sinusoidal voltage and the voltage unbalance on the motor efficiency and the application of the interval arithmetic in order to determine the border error of the induction motor efficiency. It is proved that the middle of efficiency interval for the direct method of efficiency determination is always equal to or higher than the measurement result and the radius of interval is longer than the border error.

Opis:: There was done a literature insight into interval arithmetic: its historical development, interval notations used by different authors, definitions and theorems. The interval set with operations was classified as an appropriate algebra structure. It was given the traps of interval arithmetic. On the example of electric circuit there was shown a dependence of the interval arithmetic calculation result on the function form. There was done a comparative analysis of efficiency measurement uncertainty determination of induction motors using classical and interval methods.

W pracy przedstawiono definicję i rodzaje metod wyznaczania sprawności, modele przepływu mocy oraz wybrane metody wyznaczania sprawności według norm: japońskiej JEC, Amerykańskiej IEEE 112, międzynarodowych IEC 60034-2 i najnow-szej IEC 61972 a także propozycje nowych metod opracowanych przez autora pracy. Przedstawiono także rozkłady strat w silniku indukcyjnym klatkowym stosowane w poszczególnych metodach. Scharakteryzowano metody wyznaczania sprawności, kładąc nacisk na uwypuklenie różnic między nimi. Porównano wartości sprawności otrzymane poszczególnymi metodami dla tego samego silnika. Porównano cechy poszczególnych metod oraz podano aktualne tendencje światowe w rozwoju metod wyznaczania sprawności w silnikach indukcyjnych klatkowych.

Opis:: W pracy przedstawiono hybrydową metodę wyznaczania sprawności silników indukcyjnych. Jest to system wyznaczania sprawności, w którym uwzględnia się wpływ warunków pomiaru, określonych przez wybrane parametry, według zaproponowanych algorytmów na sprawność silnika indukcyjnego klatkowego budowy zamkniętej. Nazwa „hybrydowa” jest uzasadniona tym, że w metodzie tej proces pomiarowy połączony jest z obliczeniami wymagającymi danych konstrukcyjnych i materiałowych silnika i bazującymi na algorytmach zbliżonych do algorytmów projektowych, z uwzględnieniem jednak danych z pomiarów. Poza uwzględnieniem warunków pomiaru zaproponowano nowe modele przepływu mocy w silniku, modyfikacje strat w rdzeniu i mechanicznych oraz związane z tymi modelami i modyfikacjami nowe metody wyznaczania sprawności, zastosowanie arytmetyki interwałowej do wyznaczania błędu systematycznego granicznego sprawności oraz przyrządy pomiarowe i urządzenia laboratoryjne używane do wyznaczania sprawności optymalnych z punktu widzenia wyznaczania sprawności. Stosowanie tej metody jest korzystne zarówno dla użytkowników silników jak i dla ich producentów. Dla użytkowników – ze względu na to, że otrzymywana tą metodą wartość sprawności jest bardziej zbliżona do rzeczywistej, dla producentów – ze względu na to, że nieuwzględnienie w dostatecznym stopniu warunków pomiaru prowadzi do obniżenia wyznaczanej sprawności wyprodukowanego przez nich silnika.
In the work the hybrid method for the determination of the efficiency of squirrel-cage induction motors of a closed construction was presented. In this method the influence of measurement conditions that are determined by selected parameters accordingly to the proposed algorithms for the efficiency of the mentioned induction motors is taken into account. The name "hybrid" is justified with the fact that in this method the measuring process is connected with calculations that require the design and material data of the considered motor. These computations are based on the algorithms that are similar to the algorithms used in the designing process, however, with the application of measurement data. Moreover, the new models of the power flow in the motor as well as modifications of iron and mechanical losses and new methods associated with these models and modifications for the efficiency determination were elaborated. The interval arithmetic for the estimation of the border systematic error of the efficiency as well as the errors of measuring instruments and laboratory devices used for the efficiency determination was applied. The application of this method is advantageous for the motor users as well as producers. For the users – because they receive the efficiency value which is more similar to real, for the producers – because the measurement inaccuracies lead to the lowering of the determined efficiency of the motor produced by them.

The article describes the design methods and Osin-Eta computer program predestined for design of small power cage induction motors. The genesis of program, the user interface description and the program basic computing capabilities were presented. Furthermore the accuracy impact of digital computation process on the optimization process was discussed.

Opis:: Devices destined to convert renewable energy (wind, water) to mechanical energy – wind and water turbines – have generally low speed. So, it is necessary to use gears, which generate losses, noises and decreased reliability of construction. The best solution is using low-speed generators in this type of system. In Electrotechnical Institute in Warsaw It was designed, manufactured and tested of prototype of synchronous generator with permanent magnets and rated power 1 kW, speed 100 rpm.

Opis:: In the paper the main features of the magneto-electric disc motors with axial flux and armature without ferromagnetic core and outline its design method and selected design calculations results are presented. Moreover is presented description of workmanship technology of the prototype motor. The prototype motor with inverted structure i.e. with outer rotor made up two shields with permanent magnets was designed in that way to fit in a standard rim 15" diameter. It was poured the armature with three-phase winding over epoxy resin in a silicon mould.

Opis:: In the paper is described four prototype one-phase motors rated power 7,5 and 10 HP designed and manufactured in Electrotechnical Institute. Motors are designed according to NEMA standards for rated frequency 60 Hz. On account of rated power increase in this motors the special windings with non-uniform distribution of turns are applied. The windings are optimized on account of criterion of possible uniform slot filling by not exceed 3 % content of magnetomotive force third harmonic. For this motors was designed an especial auxiliary start capacitor switch. As actuator is utilized the pair of push-pull connected thyristors. As analyzed parameter for the electronic system is utilized the voltage on the run capacitor. The switch include an unique precision comparator with floating reference voltage. Such solution enabled accurate determination of switching moment by network voltage fluctuation and voltage drops by motor start. Prototype motors was tested and test results indicates, that all motors have better efficiency according to standard motors manufactured by leading American manufacturer and only about 1 % lower as Super-E series motors manufactured by this manufacturer. The paper presents the main motors parameters obtained from tests and also a comparison between tests and calculation results.
