The aim of this article is to analyze generational aspect of the mass women’s protest againt an attempt almost total ban on legal abortion in Poland, after Constitutional Court’s decision in October 2020. Text contains three parts. Firstly, authors otuline general issue of the materialist dimension of motherhood versus mystical thinking of the Catholic clergy and right-wing politicians. Second chapter is focused on Catholic propaganda in Polish education. Last part is devoted to the „women’s hell” and backlash against alliance between conservative government and Catholic clergy.

The aim of this article is to analyze so-called Kurdish problem in three countries with important Kurdish minority – Turkey, Iraq and Syria. Roots of the Kurdish issue are very old, we could found them in the mid-nineteenth-century Ottoman Empire. Now between 25 and 35 millions Kurds lives in the Middle East. Article starts with description of the Kurdish population’s (around 15 millions) fate in Turkey – they faced violent opression, but especially under rule of AKP party, also got some degree of recognition. Kurds in Iraq were subjugate to the Arabization process under Baath Party Rule, but then established autonomy in the northern part of country. Situation of Syrian Kurds was partly o shot of the Turkish and Iraqis politics. Last chapter is devoted to the new phenomenom of Sallafist jihadism (Jabhat al-Nusra, Islamic State in Iraq and Syria), which gives Kurds in Iraq and Syria new.

The aim of this paper is to analyze specifics of the neoliberal crime and punishment policy. Article contain three parts. Firstly, author describes neoliberalism phenomenon itself as a current phase of capitalist development. Second part is devoted to the not so obvious relationships between dramatically rapid and deep economic change, especially in labour issues, and change in the crime policy. Last chapter is focused on South and Central American countries, especially Brazil, which could be perceived as the most economically neoliberal and conservative in punishing the crime. In conclusion, author summarizes his analysis of the neoliberal fight against powerlessness and poor people.

Surveillance, nowadays especially provided by information and communication technology, is at the core of social control that has been largely commoditised and privatized. Consumer culture gives hope for freedom lives, challenging the social hierarchies that dominated the earlier – in Bauman’s vocabulary, “solid” – phase of modernity. The aim of this paper is to present two of many tools, which are used by biggest IT companies to keep under surveillance the individuals, societies and nations in the Liquid Modern Times. There has been the socio-cultural context of Internet’s development analyzed to find the premises that led to a transformation of cyberspace from a freedom to a surveillance place, and conducted a case study of Facebook’s facial recognition technology and Google Street View practices. Non-reactive research methods have been used in the paper.

Celem artykułu jest zarysowanie podobieństwa pomiędzy propagandą nazistowską w Niemczech a współczesnym komunikowaniem politycznym prawicowych populistów w Polsce. Tekst składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwszy skupia się na kluczowych źródłach rasizmu, zwłaszcza globalizacji – w ujęciu Zygmunta Baumana. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest sukcesom, jakie w Europie odnoszą prawicowi populiści od lat osiemdziesiątych XX wieku. Ostatni rozdział uwypukla bliskość – co nie znaczy tożsamość – między propagandą Trzeciej Rzeszy a komunikacją prawicowych populistów we współczesnej Polsce.
The aim of this article is to outline similarities between Nazi propaganda and contemporary populist right-wing communication in Poland. Paper contains three parts. First chapter is focused on main sources of the racism – especially globalization process, described by Zygmunt Bauman. Then author analyzes successes of the populist right-wing in Europe since 1980s. Last chapter is devoted to conceptualization – comparable, but not identical, to the Third Reich – of the communication of the Polish populist right-wing.
