Opis:: Stres jest spostrzegany jako jedna z podstawowych uciążliwości w miejscu pracy. Jest wymieniany przez pracowników jako drugi w kolejności czynnik szkodzący zdrowiu, zaraz po hałasie. W związku z tym coraz częściej podejmowane są interwencje, mające na celu zapobieganie stresowi w pracy oraz niwelowanie negatywnych skutków tego stresu. W artykule zaprezentowano podstawowe zagadnienia, dotyczące konstrukcji programów prewencyjnych, mających na celu zarządzanie stresem w miejscu pracy.
Stress is perceived as one of the most dangerous factors in the work environment. Workers list stress as the second most dangerous factor that threatens health, noise being the first one. Many activities are undertaken to reduce the causes and consequences of work stress. The article presents the basic ideas related to developing intervention programs aimed at work-site stress management.

Opis:: The following paper presents research on the assembly areas in ELEKTROBUDOWA S.A. company. It consists of five chapters. The introduction focuses on the directions of the development of assembly technique. Generally, companies aim at creating organizational and technical structures which enable them to switch into producing new items as quickly as possible. The second chapter presents the definition of assembly areas, together with their advantages and disadvantages. The application of such areas has recently become a priority in companies constantly competing against each other. A lot of businesses are gradually starting to put the concept into practice, interpreting and using it in diverse ways. In the following chapter the reader can find the assessment of assembly areas from the organizational and technical viewpoints. The next part contains research on the practical issues related to the application of assembly areas in ELEKTROBUDOWA S.A. company. At first the reader can get familiar with the company’s profile and range of services offered. What follows is a table showing the elements of a switchboard and a flowchart for the assembly areas for low and medium voltage switchboards. Finally, combination matrices for the aforementioned switchboards are given. The whole paper ends with the conclusions drawn from the conducted research.

Opis:: Many studies on the impact of psychosocial working conditions on health prove that psychosocial stress at work is an important risk factor endangering workers’ health. Thus it should be constantly monitored like other work hazards. The paper presents a newly developed instrument for stress monitoring called the Psychosocial Working Conditions Questionnaire (PWC). Its structure is based on Robert Karasek's model of job stress (Karasek, 1979; Karasek & Theorell, 1990). It consists of 3 main scales - Job Demands, Job Control, Social Support - and 2 additional scales adapted from the Occupational Stress Questionnaire (Elo, Leppanen, Lindstrom, & Ropponen, 1992), Well-Being and Desired Changes. The study of 8 occupational groups (bank and insurance specialists, middle medical personnel, construction workers, shop assistants, government and self-government administration officers, computer scientists, public transport drivers, teachers, N = 3,669) indicates that PWC has satisfactory psychometrics parameters. Norms for the 8 groups were developed.

Opis:: Type A is widely treated as a risk of diseases (mostly coronary heart diseases) and stress, including occupational stress. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficiency of intervention in modifying Type A in 25 managers in comparison with 38 Type A controls, who did not participate in the intervention. Additionally, the usefulness of the intervention was analysed when reactivity, as a temperamental dimension of Type A participants, was taken into account. High reactivity of Type A persons was assumed here as the presumed cause of the negative consequences in their health and well-being. The results showed a significant reduction in stress-related emotional symptoms, like depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, positive affects due to the intervention. These changes with the reduction in work ambiguity were greater in high reactive Type As than in low reactive ones.

Optimization of production processes and achieving the expected effects of their implementation is an important aspect in the current management of the company. The implementation of appropriate instruments in the field of optimization of quality processes certainly affects the improvement of production processes in enterprises from the automotive industry and increases their competitiveness. The purpose of this article is therefore to analyze the body and paint repair process in a selected company, including the tools and methods of its optimization.

Opis:: The article is an attempt to analyse matrix recording of the graph to find on assembly sequence. There has been presented the use of matrix of graphs and assembly states to model and find the assembly sequence, there has also been done short comparison of their most essential features. It has been proved, that appropriate matrix representation of the assembly unit, which is the basis of modern computer search algorithms should enable effectively to find a rational sequence of connecting its parts. There have been discussed examples of graph representation using an assembly states matrix and a graph matrix. There have been compared their possibilities in the area of finding assembly sequence leading to shortening time, and as a result limiting its costs.
W pracy przedstawiono próbę analizy macierzowego zapisu grafu do wyznaczania kolejności montażu. Przedstawiono zastosowanie macierzy grafu i stanów montażu do modelowania i ustalania sekwencji montażu. Dokonano również krótkiego porównania najbardziej istotnych ich cech. Wykazano, że odpowiednia macierzowa reprezentacja jednostki montażowej, stanowiąca podstawę współczesnych komputerowych algorytmów przeszukiwania, powinna umożliwiać efektywne ustalenie racjonalnych kolejności łączenia jej części. Omówiono przykłady reprezentacji grafu za pomocą macierzy stanów montażu oraz macierzy grafu. Zestawiono także ich możliwości w zakresie ustalania kolejności montażu, prowadzące do skrócenia czasu i w konsekwencji ograniczające jego koszty.

Opis:: The study concerns the moderating role of two variables - hardiness and social support - in the relation between job stressors and well-being. It was checked if there is a connection between hardiness and social support, and if these variables are directly related to the level of well-being. It was also hypothesized that hardiness and social support buffer the negative influence of stressors on well-being. The fact that social support and well-being are multidimensional variables was taken into account. The cross-sectional study was conducted on a group of 200 women employed as office workers. The results showed that hardiness correlates with the indexes of emotional support as well as practical support coming from supervisors. The connection, however, was not strong. Hardiness and social support were directly connected with the level of well-being. Interaction of these two independent variables played a marginal role. As far as the buffering role of these variables was concerned, the results have shown that hardiness did not play a buffering role and social support did to a limited degree only. The results of the study proved that it is justifiable to treat social support and well-being as multidimensional variables.
