    Artykuł traktuje o nauczaniu i naukowo-publicystycznej działalności bł. Michała Sopoćki na rzecz apostolstwa prawdy o miłosierdziu Bożym oraz kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego. Bł. Michał zainspirowany objawieniami o miłosierdziu Bożym, przekazanymi św. Faustynie Kowalskiej, podjął się weryfikacji tych objawień, a następnie apostolstwa idei i kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego. Na przestrzeni kilkudziesięciu lat opublikował szereg prac, w których ukazywał prawdę o miłosierdziu Bożym, przedstawiał istotę nabożeństwa do Miłosierdzia Bożego oraz uzasadniał potrzebę wprowadzenia kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego z odrębnym świętem. W artykule, w ujęciu chronologicznym, są przedstawione prace bł. Michała oraz ich krótka prezentacja pod względem treści. W całości opracowania ukazany jest istotny i pionierski wkład bł. Michała w promocję kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego od początków jego powstania. Nauczanie o prawdzie miłosierdzia Bożego oraz wyjaśnienie istoty kultu wraz z motywami jego wprowadzenia osadzone jest na solidnych podstawach biblijnych, teologicznych, liturgicznych i pastoralnych. W tym jawi się niepowtarzalna rola bł. Michała Sopoćki w upowszechnieniu kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego we współczesnych czasach, choć jeszcze nie wystarczająco poznana i doceniona.
    The article deals with the teaching and scientific-journalistic activities of bl. Michael Sopocko to the apostolate for the truth about the mercy of God and the cult of the Divine Mercy. Bl. Michael inspired by the revelations of the mercy of God received by St. Faustina Kowalska, undertook the verification of these revelations, and then the apostolate of ideas and the cult of Divine Mercy. Over the decades, he has published a number of works which showed the truth about the mercy of God, represented the essence of the devotion to the Divine Mercy and justified the need for the introduction of the cult of Divine Mercy with a separate holiday. His works are presented in this article in chronological order, and their short presentation in terms of content. In the whole dissertation is shown an important and pioneering contribution of bl. Michael in the promotion of the cult of Divine Mercy since the very beginning. The teaching of the truth of God's mercy and explanation of the essence of the cult, together with motifs of the introduction are based on a solid biblical, theological, liturgical and pastoral foundation. This appears to be a unique role of bl. Michael Sopocko in spreading the cult of Divine Mercy in modern times, although not sufficiently understood and appreciated yet.

    W artykule podjęta została próba wykazania praktycznej weryfikacji argumentu werytatywnego w życiu Edyty Stein. Argument werytatywny służy uzasadnianiu wiarygodności Objawienia Bożego i chrześcijańskiego poprzez wykazywanie, że źródłem wszelkiej prawdy jest Bóg, który jest też ostateczną Prawdą wyjaśniającą sens życia człowieka i wszystkiego, co istnieje. Edyta Stein, szukając prawdy i sensu życia, odnalazła Boga − najwyższą Prawdę. Przez spotkanie z Bogiem odkryła swe przeznaczenie, życie w zjednoczeniu z Nim w wieczności. Jej droga do prawdy i Boga nosi znamiona procesu dochodzenia do ostatecznej Prawdy, Boga Objawienia, a proces ten zawiera się w strukturze argumentu werytatywnego. W ten sposób doświadczenie Edyty Stein może być potraktowane jako praktyczne zweryfikowanie tegoż argumentu.
    In the article I attempt to verify practically a veritative argument in Edith Stein's life. That argument serves to substantiate the credibility of Divine and Christian Revelation by pointing at God, the Ultimate Truth that explains the meaning of human life and of all that has existed, as the source of any truth. Edith Stein found God, the highest Truth, by examining the truth and searching the sense of existence in her life. She unravelled her destination, her eternal life in unity with God, through encountering Him. Her searching the Truth and God were marked by the process of reaching tha absolute Truth, God of Revelation, the process of which has been a part of veritative argument's structure. Thus, the experience of Edith Stein may have been classified as the practical verification of the above argument.

    Opis:
    Fr. Michael Sopocko played a unique and exceptional role in the history of spreading the devotion to Divine Mercy in our times. As Jesus revealed to St. Faustina during her visions, Fr. Sopocko was chosen by Him to serve as St. Faustina’s confessor and spiritual director. In the process, Fr Sopocko became open to the apostolate of Divine Mercy. Sr. Faustina considered Fr. Sopocko the co-creator and continuator of the mission entrusted to her to proclaim the truth about and spread devotion to Divine Mercy. Specifically, Fr. Sopocko was the one who told St. Faustina to keep her Diary, and he oversaw the painting of the first image of the Merciful Jesus in Vilnius in 1934. Initially, Fr. Sopocko began spreading devotion to Divine Mercy by writing about it. In 1937, he published the prayers of the Chaplet and Novena to Divine Mercy. He also sought to establish the Feast of Divine Mercy and to have devotion to Divine Mercy approved by the church authorities. In addition, he tirelessly taught the faithful about Divine Mercy and published a number of works devoted to this truth and devotion. His dedication, perseverance in difficulties, and apostolic zeal were undoubtedly indispensible in establishing the apostolate of Divine Mercy in our times and spreading the message of Divine Mercy in Poland and throughout the entire world.
    W historii upowszechnienia się w naszych czasach kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego wyjątkowe miejsce zajmuje i taką też rolę odegrał ks. Michał Sopoćko. Wskazany św. Faustynie w objawieniach, stał się jej spowiednikiem i kierownikiem duchowym oraz otworzył się na apostolstwo Miłosierdzia Bożego. Siostra widziała w nim współrealizatora i kontynuatora powierzonej jej misji głoszenia prawdy Miłosierdzia Bożego i szerzenia kultu. Przyczynił się do powstania Dzienniczka, doprowadził do namalowania w Wilnie w 1934 r. pierwszego wizerunku Jezusa Miłosiernego. Pierwszy zaczął pisać o Miłosierdziu Bożym i kulcie oraz wydrukował już w 1937 r. tekst Koronki i Nowenny do Miłosierdzia Bożego. Zabiegał o ustanowienie Święta Miłosierdzia Bożego i zatwierdzenie kultu przez władze kościelne. Niestrudzenie nauczał o Miłosierdziu Bożym i wydał szereg prac poświęconych tej prawdzie oraz nabożeństwu do Miłosierdzia Bożego. Jego poświęcenie, znoszone przeciwności, gorliwość apostolska są niewątpliwie istotnym wkładem w apostolstwo Miłosierdzia Bożego w naszych czasach i nie mogą nie mieć znaczenia dla upowszechnienia się kultu Miłosierdzia Bożego w Polsce i świecie.

    This article has attempted to demonstrate the practical verification of the veritative argument in the life of Edith Stein and to indicate the possibility of taking advantage of her conclusions in the construction of the argument, especially in terms of strengthening its motivational merit. That argument serves to justify the credibility of the divine and Christian revelation by demonstrating that the source of all truth is God, who is also the ultimate truth that explains the meaning of human life and all that exists. Edith Stein, while looking for the truth and meaning of life, found God, the highest Truth. Through the encounter with God she discovered her destiny, a life spent in union with Him in eternity. Her path to the truth and God bears the marks of the process of reaching the ultimate truth, the God of revelation, and this process is included in the structure of the veritative argument. In this way, the experience of Edith Stein can be considered as a practical verifi cation of that argument. In addition, in her philosophical and theological inquiry, one can fi nd the mystery of God, personal truth, essential for the recognition of God as the ultimate truth, which is vital in understanding veritative argument. The truth of God in her approach has three dimensions: personal, relational, and explanatory. Such perceived truth serves for better understanding of the meaning of human life, especially in religious dimension, which is also crucial in veritative argument. Edith Stein showed in her anthropology that man nhas an innate predisposition to seek the truth, and her knowledge had a positive eff ect on the development of man and his life, which is signifi cant in investigating the sources of the argument. Stages in the process of searching the truth, distinguished by Edith Stein, (the attitude of intellectual openness to reality, good will in the quest to uncover the truth, determination and consistency in seeking, the attitude of „empathy”, humility opening up to the transcendent) converge with internal symptoms: dependency on eff ectiveness of the argument, or on its motivational value, enriching and expanding the argument. Similarly, external conditions which had a positive impact on the process (living environment and education, Husserl’s phenomenological method, testimony Christians’ life in faith) correspond to and reinforce the subject (objective) circumstances of the eff ectiveness of the argument.
    W artykule podjęta została próba wykazania praktycznej weryfikacji argumentu werytatywnego w życiu Edyty Stein oraz wskazania na możliwość zastosowania jej przemyśleń w konstruowaniu tegoż argumentu, zwłaszcza w aspekcie wzmocnienia jego waloru motywacyjnego. Argument werytatywny służy uzasadnianiu wiarygodności Objawienia Bożego i chrześcijańskiego poprzez wykazywanie, że źródłem wszelkiej prawdy jest Bóg, który jest też ostateczną Prawdą wyjaśniającą sens życia człowieka i wszystkiego co istnieje. Edyta Stein szukając w swym życiu prawdy i sensu życia odnalazła Boga, najwyższą Prawdę. Przez spotkanie z Bogiem odkryła swe przeznaczenie, życie w zjednoczeniu z Nim w wieczności. Jej droga do prawdy i Boga nosi znamiona procesu dochodzenia do ostatecznej Prawdy, Boga Objawienia, a proces ten zawiera się w strukturze argumentu werytatywnego. W ten sposób doświadczenie Edyty Stein może być potraktowane jako praktyczne zweryfikowanie tegoż argumentu. Dodatkowo w jej myśli filozoficzno-teologicznej można odnaleźć dociekania tajemnicy Boga, osobowej Prawdy, istotne dla ujęcia Boga, jako ostatecznej Prawdy, a właśnie argument zmierza do wykazywania, że prawda zawiera się w Bogu Objawienia. Prawda w Bogu w jej ujęciu ma wymiar: osobowy, relacyjny i wyjaśniający. Tak postrzegana prawda służy pełniejszemu odkryciu sensu życia człowieka, przede wszystkim w wymiarze religijnym, co również przynależy do istoty argumentu. Edyta Stein wykazuje w swej antropologii, że człowiek ma wrodzone predyspozycje do poszukiwania prawdy, a jej poznanie wpływa pozytywnie na rozwój człowieka i jego życie. Te stwierdzenia są znaczące dla problematyki źródeł argumentu. Wyróżnione w myśli Edyty Stein uwarunkowania procesu dochodzenia do Prawdy i Boga (postawa otwartości intelektualnej względem zastanej rzeczywistości, dobra wola w dążeniu do odkrycia prawdy, determinacja i konsekwencja poszukującego, postawa „wczucia”, pokora otwierająca na rzeczywistość transcendentną) zbiegają się z wewnętrznymi, podmiotowymi uzależnieniami skuteczności czy waloru motywacyjnego argumentu i w jakimś stopniu je ubogacają oraz poszerzają. Podobnie uwarunkowania zewnętrzne, które wpłynęły pozytywnie na ten proces (środowisko życia i wychowanie, metoda fenomenologiczna Husserla, świadectwo życia wiarą spotykanych chrześcijan) korespondują i wzmacniają przedmiotowe (obiektywne) okoliczności skuteczności argumentu.
