    Opis:
    The article presents various aspects of temporary protection of military equipment that has been withdrawn from active service. It contains the analysis of the temporary protection methods used by the Polish Armed Forces, and describes their impact on the technical condition of the equipment (vehicles) stored. In addition, explanations of the basic storage-related terms used in the military are provided. The causes of corrosion and its types are considered as well. Due to the fact that temporary protection schemes play a vital role in the operation of military equipment, an attempt has been made to systematize the area. Hence, a proposal determining the structure of the temporary vehicle protection system has been put forward.

    W artykule przedstawiono wybrane aspekty dotyczące przechowywania sprzętu technicznego o złożonej konstrukcji, jakimi są pojazdy kołowe i gąsienicowe. Omówiono wpływ zastosowanych metod ochrony sprzętu technicznego na skuteczność. Scharakteryzowano najważniejsze determinanty odnoszące się do sprzętu technicznego. Wykazano udział podstawowych czynności przygotowawczych w przygotowaniu sprzętu technicznego do przechowywania, w odniesieniu do zachowania jego sprawności technicznej, a tym samym skuteczności.
    The article describes selected aspects of technical hardware store complex structures, such as wheeled vehicles and tracked. Discusses the impact of methods to protect the effectiveness of the technical equipment. Are the most important determinants of relating to technical equipment. Has been shown to share essential preparatory steps in the preparation of technical equipment for storage, in relation to the preservation of its technical prowess, and thus effectiveness.

    W artykule przedstawiono niektóre rodzaje samochodów osobowych eksploatowanych przez sektor cywilny, jak też przez sektor wojenny podczas II wojny światowej. Zasadniczym kryterium przyjętym w artykule było wykorzystanie gazu generatorowego jako paliwa do napędu tego typu pojazdów. Były one produkowane w różnych krajach, potrzebę tego typu konstrukcji i produkcji wymusił m.in. kryzys paliwowy, także brak benzyny, paliw płynnych które zużywano na potrzeby wojny. W skład artykułu wchodzą ryciny, schematy, które ilustrują graficznie przedstawione zagadnienie.
    This article presents chosen types of passenger cars exploited by the civil sector, as well as by the war sector, during World War II. The basic criterion applied in the article was the usage of producer gas as fuel for driving this type of vehicles. These were produced in various countries and the need for this type of constructions and production was forced, inter alia, by the fuel crisis, as well as by the lack of fuel, liquid fuels, which were used for the needs of the war. The article includes figures and diagrams which graphically illustrate the presented topic.

    In the article, a brief overview of the measures taken in order to improve the safety of the crews and vehicles is presented. A few examples have been shown. The analysis of the attacks impact on the vehicles was performed on the basis of Polish Military Contingents in Iraq and Afghanistan, In addition, the determinants of endangering of the crews are presented and the resolutions that were undertaken are discussed. It should be noted, that in today's armed conflicts, the safety of the soldiers pursuing combat jobs is a priority. Therefore, the most important issue is to meet the requirements for vehicles security levels. An appropriate vehicle protection level should be taken into account during the determination of the technical assumptions and in the next step verified while the prototype testing in research and development centres. It is assessed that the use of various systems and means of vehicle protection in the new 20 the century have been inspired by operations carried out in Iraq and Afghanistan, where the classics faced the new unpredictable form of combat. However, is unconventional, asymmetric war something new? This is a typical guerrilla war run by the other side by means available for them. It seems that the coalition was not prepared for that form of operations in many regards.
