Opis:
In relation to the scantiness of stores and the constantly increasing demand for energy, societies are forced to seek alternative energy sources. Biofuels that is fuels produced of biomass are one of them. The most important biofuels are bioethanol (produced from sugar cultivations and cereal crops, used with petrol) and biodiesel (ester produced mainly of vegetable oils; serves as the substitute or the addition to diesel). The esters of vegetable oils production requires using appropriate apparatus which enables to produce esters with parameters defined in very exacting legal norms about the quality of such fuel. In the paper were described results examining the quality of esters and mineral oils made with the use highly specialist, new generation 's apparatus which fulfll the conditions defining in the relevant norm. Results of those surveys are showing that using simple methods in production such biofuel doesn 't let for getting the product with parameters defined by the law. Applying fuel with lowered standard parameters influences on observed cases of improper functioning of fuel apparatus in engines with self-ignition, mainly in case of high pressure systems (e.g. Common Rail).

Opis:
The article presents possibilities of implementation gas, came by wood biomass gasification, to run on internal combustion engines powered normally by Diesel fuel. Carbonization, gasification and burning effects were introduced. Main processes occurring during biomass gasification were shown. Basic chemical reactions characteristic to each stage were named. The differences in composition of received gas according to sort of biomass, gasification medium and type of generator were mentioned. In article were depicted way of modus operandi and structures of typical generators along with its advantages and disadvantages. gas properties obtained by this method and its main parameters were presented. The advantages and disadvantages posed by the use of wood gas in internal combustion engines were described. Parameters of the gas that should be amended to allow the engine to be powered were listed. Also were shown ways of changing these parameters. Necessary engine modifications to be able to supply it with wood gas were presented. The article finishes with conclusions and risks resulting from the use of this technology and also possible impact on the environment.

Due to the continuous increase in prices of conventional fuels, the production of biofuels on an industrial, as well as small scale, nowadays is becoming more economically efficient. However, the usage of biofuels in its pure form is a problem when one have to supply them with modern injection systems. Due to the difference in parameters of biofuels in comparison with conventional fuels, the attempt to develop a mixture of optimal parameters for use in diesel engines, equipped with modern injection system, was made. Fuels derived from substrates which are produced independently of food production and which can energize CI engines are occupying now stronger market positions. Easier access to know-how and an uncomplicated production process result in technological development, not only in mass-scale plants but also in smaller devices which meet the needs of individual users or in which residues of other processes are neutralized or reused13 samples were tested, mixed of diesel, FAEE and ethyl alcohol. The mixtures were prepared and tested in The Department of Mechatronics in University of Warmia and Mazury for the most important parameters in the evaluation of possibility of usage to power modern compression ignition engines.

Opis:
Biofuel production to power compression ignition engines on a small scale, using alkaline catalysts is not a difficult process. The problem could be the collection of excess alcohol, which is used during production in this conduct of process of biofuel. The authors attempted to develop the control algorithm of alcohol evaporation process, in the "field esterification plant" which is used to produce biofuels on demands for Department of Mechatronics and Information Technology Education Chair of University of Warmia and Mazury. The article describes the mobile installation used for the production of biofuels and requirements, which this installation should conform, working in a variety of conditions. The installation should work properly with different mixtures of components with different proportions of vegetable and animal fats mixed with methyl or ethyl alcohol. The algorithm controls the process in a way that it was possible to use of not only methyl alcohol, but also other alcohols, at variable temperature of refrigerant cooling excess alcohol vapours. The adaptive control algorithm of alcohol evaporation process improves the efficiency of system operation by reducing production time and decrease of electricity power and water (needed to cool the heat exchanger) consumption. Software upgrade also affects the quality of the obtained final product, as well as on the whole process.

Opis:
Production of biofuels from vegetable oils, which would be able to meet restrictive standards in quality, is a complicated process. It results from building provision determinants to be met, as well as the method of process, which requires necessary equipment. While the production of ethyl esters is less harmful for operators than in case of methyl esters, so far for both alcohols there are many hazardous for them. One way of reduction inconvenience of the construction requirements for work with explosives is to put the installation on the mobile platform that will enable the creation of biofuels away from the urban areas. For the production of esters from rapeseed oils may be used methanol and ethanol. Depending on alcohol used, the resulting ester will have different properties. Presented material describes the requirements for the buildings where the production of esters can be made. A comparison of properties of methyl and ethyl esters, as well as a description of the transesterification process and the quality of test results obtained in the field esterification plant. The paper focuses on the renewable energy on the example of biodiesel. Esters, being an alternative to diesel oil, fall into two groups: methyl or ethyl fatty acids esters derived from oils, most often rapeseed oil. Biodiesel is available at petrol stations as 100% ester or mixture with diesel oil.

Opis:
Due to the ending stocks of fossil fuels, as well as instability of the political situation in the world, especially in countries that are major crude oil suppliers, governments of countries poor in the resources are forced to seek alternative sources of energy. Currently, the most common fuel for admission of internal combustion engines is oil. As a result of the continuous increasement of fuels prices and legislation imposing decrease of toxic exhaust gasses emissions tends to expansion the power base of the automotive industry through the introduction of alternative fuels. One of them is fuels derived from renewable energy sources. These include gaseous fuels like biogas, hydrogen, and its mixtures. The presented paper includes description of Brown gas generator and verification of the desirability of enrichment in hydrogen and oxygen gaseous fuels used to supply internal combustion engines. The connection scheme of Brown gas generator for the engine is also presented. Division of alternative fuels used to power internal combustion engines, diagram of connection generator to the engine when the gas is feed to inlet manifold, Diagram ofpower supply system of gas generator, are also presented in the paper.
