Opis:: The aim of this paper is to present the cultural psychology project formulated by Florian Znaniecki. In the first part of the article, the authoress reconstructs the origin of this concept by reviewing the scholar’s early philosophical writings. In the second and third part of this paper, the authoress focuses on presenting the basic categories of Znaniecki’s theory such as culture, culturalism and cultural action and highlights the role of cultural psychology in his scientific system.

Opis:: In this paper the author compares psychological theories of emotions with some models representing cultural perspective, proposed by anthropologists and linguists. The main problem is to concern some conditions of coherence between these different approaches. In the first part of the paper, the author presents the universalistic conception of emotion which was formulated by Paul Ekman. The critical approaches to this theory are analyzed in the second part. The last part of this article is an attempt to answer the question about the possibility and methodological conditions of coherence between psychological models of emotions and the concept of culture.

Opis:: The main problem of this paper is to compare two attitudes towards Freud’s psychoanalysis. The first is represented by naturalistic orientation which emphasizes objective and functional determination in Freud’s conception of human psyche. The second perspective is developed by hermeneutic movement according to which psychoanalysis expresses the main role of hidden and unconscious meanings – i.e. subjectively-rational determination of psychic phenomena. In the author’s opinion, both approaches underestimate the opposite types of determination.

Opis:: Nowadays it is noted that some traditional psychological categories are inadequate to explain the specificity of human activity. For example the concept of personality seems to be insufficient to express how people function. Spirituality is one of the categories which could describe the form of a person’s inner experience determined by cultural meanings and values. The main aim of this paper is to consider some new psychological conceptions that include the spiritual dimension of a human. The author analyzes three approaches. The first one, proposed by Anna Galdowa, emphasizes spiritual development. The project of Irena Heszen focuses on the connection between spirituality and psychosomatic health.
