Opis:
This article presents a robot for remote noninvasive medical examination. In particular, this robot allows a doctor to carry out an interview, an observation, an auscultation and an ultrasound examination, including echocardiography. The robot has been developed within the ReMeDi (Remote Medical Diagnostician) project funded by the European Union’s Research and Innovation 7th Framework Programme. At the beginning of the article, we outline selected results of the user’s evaluation of the robot idea together with the requirements regarding the robot. Then the essential system components are presented and a selection of them are discussed in detail. Subsequently we present the integrated system and discuss selected topics concerning the integration. Finally, the document is completed by a description of the users evaluation process.

The work presents the results of examinations concerning the influence of various amounts of home scrap additions on the properties of castings made of MgAl9Zn1 alloy. The fraction of home scrap in the metal charge ranged from 0 to 100%. Castings were pressure cast by means of the hot-chamber pressure die casting machine under the industrial conditions in one of the domestic foundries. The examinations consisted in the determination of the following properties: tensile strength Rm, yield strength Rp0.2, and the unit elongation A5, all being measured during the static tensile test. Also the hardness measurements were taken by the Brinell method. It was found that the mechanical properties (mainly the strength properties) are being improved up to the home scrap fraction of 50%. Their values were increased by about 30% over this range. Further rise in the home scrap content, however, brought a definite decrease in these properties. The unit elongation A5 exhibited continual decrease with an increase in the home scrap fraction in the metal charge. A large growth of hardness was noticed for the home scrap fraction increasing up to the value of 50%. Further increasing the home scrap percentage, however, did not result in a significant rise of the hardness value any more.

The work presents the results of examinations concerning the influence of various amounts of home scrap additions on the porosity of castings made of MgAl9Zn1 alloy. The fraction of home scrap in the metal charge ranged from 0 to 100%. Castings were pressure cast by means of the hot-chamber pressure die casting machine under the industrial conditions in one of the domestic foundries. Additionally, for the purpose of comparison, the porosity of specimens cut out directly of the MgAl9Zn1 ingot alloy was also determined. The examinations consisted in the qualitative assessment of porosity by means of the optical microscopy and its quantitative determination by the method of weighting specimens in air and in water. It was found during the examination that the porosity of castings decreases with an increase in the home scrap fraction in the metal charge. The qualitative examinations confirmed the beneficial influence of the increased home scrap fraction on the porosity of castings. It was concluded that the reusing of home scrap in a foundry can be a good way of reduction of costs related to the production of pressure castings.

W niniejszym artykule autor przeprowadza analizę dwóch gier autorstwa Americana J. McGee, stanowiących interesujące przykłady adaptacji zapożyczających zrealizowanych w ramach interaktywnego cyfrowego medium. W tekście rozpatrywane są kwestie funkcjonowania przekładu intersemiotycznego w niestabilnym tekście narracyjnym, strategii autorstwa, obecnej poprzez oryginalną interpretację materiału źródłowego przez projektanta gier, oraz to, w jaki sposób zaczerpnięte z oryginału motywy, postaci, wydarzenia i miejsca znajdują zastosowanie w nawigowalnym środowisku wirtualnym. Autor wskazuje także na wielość możliwych odczytań treści zawartej w omawianych tytułach, zwracając jednocześnie uwagę na dojrzałość medium gier wideo oraz ich adaptacyjny potencjał.
The author of this paper analyses two video games created by American J. McGee and which are an interesting example of borrowing adaptation accomplished within digital interactive medium. Article also considers the issues of intersemiotic translation in an unstable narrative text, authorship strategy realized by original interpretation of the source material and using themes, characters, events, and places from the original in navigational virtual space. Author points out the multiplicity of possible readings of these titles content while paying attention to the maturity of the medium of video games and their adaptive potential.

The study was conducted assessing the losses of spores of the fungus species Isaria fumosorosea during the flow of liquid through the nozzle of the hydraulic agitator. The liquid flow containing spores was 2.5 dm3/min and the pressure 6.0 bar. The liquid circulated 100 times in the system comprising a pump, hydraulic mixer, and reservoir. It has been found that the multiplicity of fluid flow has a significant effect on reducing the number of spores of the fungus Isaria fumosorosea contained in a liquid. The maximum reduction of spores was 89%.
Przeprowadzono badania oceny strat zarodników grzyba gatunku Isaria fumosorosea podczas przepływu cieczy przez dyszę mieszadła hydraulicznego. Natężenie przepływu cieczy zawierającej zarodniki wynosiło 2,5 dm3/min, a jej ciśnienie 6,0 bar. Ciecz krążyła w instalacji (składającej się z pompy, mieszadła hydraulicznego i zbiornika) do 100 razy. Stwierdzono, że krotność przepływu cieczy ma istotny wpływ na redukcję ilości zarodników grzyba Isaria fumosorosea zawartych w cieczy. Maksymalna redukcja zarodników wyniosła 89%.

The Penetration of Aesthetics and Mechanics of Video Games to Interactive Art In our article, we look at the work inspired by the medium, and the culture of video games. We analyze the specifics of contact with the electronic entertainment in a completely new context as considered by the producers of games. We make a brief characterization of the selected projects in the area of interactive art, aesthetics, mechanics or iconography drawn from the popular digital games. We also analyze interesting analog representations and solutions connected with certain ludic or thematic video games in the context of practices affecting the perception of the medium, as well as assessing its ‘maturity’ and the impact on today’s pop culture. We concentrate on the issue of tangible and intangible disposits which we consider significant in the context of art inspired by new media.

Opis:
Special conditions of applying curtain fabrics, i.e. vertical hanging and lightening with transmitted light, require a different approach to designing. It was found that weaving patterns can significantly affect the continuity of the structure, particularly in the pattern area. In such cases, the effect of patterning may be disturbed by the light transmitted through uncontrolled clearances of a fabric. The study identifies the need to modify the structure, based on basic knowledge of the geometry of a fabric’s structure. A repair system aided by an original computer program was developed on such a basis. The method was validated for structures with a stratified system of thread that were produced with a Picanol rapier loom. For the purposes of results presentation, ImageJ software for computer image analysis was used.
Specjalne warunki stosowania tkanin zasłonowych, tj. pionowe zawieszenie, w oświetleniu światłem przechodzącym wymagają innego podejścia do projektowania. Stwierdzono, że wzorowanie splotowe może znacząco wpływać na ciągłość struktury, szczególnie w miejscach wzoru. W takich przypadkach efekt wzorowania może być zakłócony światłem przechodzącym przez niekontrolowane prześwity tkaniny. W pracy zidentyfikowano potrzebę modyfikacji struktury w oparciu o podstawową wiedzę z zakresu geometrii struktury tkaniny. Na jej podstawie opracowano system naprawczy wspomagany autorskim programem komputerowym. Walidację metody prowadzono na strukturach z nawarstwionym układem wątku, wykonanych na krośnie rapierowym Picanol. Do celów prezentacji wyników użyto program ImageJ do komputerowej analizy obrazu.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę wypadków, które miały miejsce podczas czynności związanych z transportem rolniczym w gospodarstwach indywidualnych województwa zachodniopomorskiego w latach 2008-2015. Dane opracowano na podstawie informacji udostępnionych przez Oddział Regionalny KRUS w Koszalinie. Stwierdzono, że do największej ilości zdarzeń dochodzi podczas transportu z udziałem przyczep i ciągników rolniczych oraz podczas wykonywania ręcznych prac transportowych. Największy odsetek zdarzeń miał miejsce na polach i łąkach, w obejściu gospodarstw i podczas poruszania się po drogach publicznych. Rolnicy wskutek wypadku najczęściej doznają urazów kończyn górnych i dolnych, a także wielonarządowych.
In the article is presented an analysis of accidents that occurred during the activities related to transport in agricultural farms in West Pomeranian Province in 2008-2015. Data were elaborated on the basis of information provided by the Department of Regional Agricultural Social Insurance Fund in Koszalin. It was found that the largest number of events occurred during transport involving trailers and tractors as well as during manual handling. The highest percentage of events took place on the fields and meadows, farms farmyard and during moving on public roads. Farmers suffered as a result of the accident of the upper and lower limbs, as well as multiple organs of their bodies.

The article presents an analysis of accidents when handling tractors in individual farms in West Pomeranian Province in the years 2009-2013. Data were compiled on the basis of information provided by the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) Regional Office in Koszalin. It was found that accidents caused by agricultural machinery and equipment occurs mostly during the use of tractors. The highest percentage of incidents represent falls caused by the wrong way of getting in-to the tractors and getting out of the tractors. As a result of accidents, most often farmers suffer injuries of the upper and lower extremities.
W artykule przedstawiono analizę wypadków podczas obsługi ciągników rolniczych w gospodarstwach indywidualnych województwa zachodniopomorskiego w latach 2009-2013. Dane opracowano na podstawie informacji udostępnionych przez Oddział Regionalny KRUS w Koszalinie. Stwierdzono, że do wypadków z udziałem maszyn i urządzeń rolniczych dochodzi najczęściej podczas użytkowania ciągników rolniczych. Największy odsetek zdarzeń stanowią upadki powodowane niewłaściwym sposobem wsiadania i wysiadania z ciągników. Rolnicy wskutek wypadku najczęściej doznają urazów kończyn górnych i dolnych.

In this paper the possibility of using X-ray computed tomography (CT) in quantitative metallographic studies of homogeneous and composite materials is presented. Samples of spheroidal cast iron, Fe-Ti powder mixture compact and epoxy composite reinforced with glass fibers, were subjected to comparative structural tests. Volume fractions of each of the phase structure components were determined by conventional methods with the use of a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) quantitative analysis methods. These results were compared with those obtained by the method of spatial analysis of the reconstructed CT image. Based on the comparative analysis, taking into account the selectivity of data verification methods and the accuracy of the obtained results, the authors conclude that the method of computed tomography is suitable for quantitative analysis of several types of structural materials.
W pracy przedstawiono możliwość wykorzystania rentgenowskiej tomografii komputerowej (CT) w ilościowych badaniach metalograficznych materiałów jednorodnych oraz kompozytowych. Badaniom porównawczym poddano wypraskę mieszaniny proszkowej Fe – Ti, żeliwo sferoidalne, a także kompozyt epoksydowy zbrojony włóknami szklanymi. Udział objętościowy poszczególnych składników strukturalnych określano za pomocą klasycznych metod stereologicznych z wykorzystaniem skaningowej mikroskopii elektronowej (SEM) oraz metodami rentgenowskiej analizy ilościowej (XRD). Uzyskane typowymi metodykami wyniki porównano z rezultatami otrzymanymi za pomocą metody przestrzennej analizy obrazu tomografii komputerowej. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych analiz, biorąc pod uwagę selektywny sposób weryfikacji danych oraz dokładność uzyskiwanych wyników, można stwierdzić przydatność wykorzystania metody tomografii komputerowej, w obszarze ilościowej analizy strukturalnej szerokiego spektrum materiałów konstrukcyjnych.

Spatiality of computer games is one of the most important features that affect the way they are received by the players. That is why it becomes a common subject of discussion among researchers involved in analyzing the properties of the medium. In this essay I will describe some aspects that may affect the player’s experience of being in an interactive environment. I will consider if it is possible to find joy in navigation through open world games and try to answer the question of whether the definition of flâneur can be applied to characterize the role of the player focused on strolling along the game world.

The aim of the study was to determine the biological characters typical of Neomysis integer, to investigate and update issues of its biology, ecology, and distribution in the southwestern Baltic Sea, and to compare biological properties of N. integer collected during eight study seasons in 2006–2007 in the region from Świnoujście to Darłowo. No link was established between N. integer size and sample collection site. The population attained sizes within the range of 2.64 to 18.84 mm. The size at which females achieved sexual maturity varied seasonally. A mean of 34 eggs was noted in the marsupium. The mean wet weight of N. integer was 0.011 g. Three generations were confirmed at most of the study sites.

Opis:
Interoperability is one of crucial problems in transport systems and it is touching especially the systems, when their complexity is growing with application of information and communications techniques. Directive of 2010/40/ EU on frameworks of the implementation of intelligent transport systems in the area of the road transport and interfaces with other types of transport has established measures to ensure ITS conformance, interoperability and continuity. Here there is review of the drivers to ITS interoperability achievement, as well as processes of their practical application. Special focus is on testing of the implementation of standards and the specifications.
