W artykule przedstawiono sprawozdanie z badań, przeprowadzonych w środowisku studentów UWM na temat hazardu i jego współczesnych odmian. Internet zrewolucjonizował gry i zakłady wzajemne na pieniądze. Przygotowując koncepcję procedury badawczej podjęto próbę empirycznej egzemplifikacji zjawiska na drodze ilościowych i jakościowych badań terenowych. Legalny i nielegalny hazard stały się tematem badań podjętych w 2015 roku przez Katedrę Bezpieczeństwa i Porządku Publicznego UWM. Celem było określenie istotności problemu i wpływu na bezpieczeństwo społeczne studentów. Podstawowy materiał empiryczny pochodzi z 2015 roku. Badania przeprowadzono na grupie 2166 respondentów. Projektując procedurę badawczą przyjęto hipotezę mówiącą, że studenci w małym stopniu uczestniczą w grach hazardowych. Zastosowano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego i narzędzia badawcze w postaci kwestionariusza ankiety i wywiadu. Uzyskane wyniki, charakter prowadzonych badań, teren oraz zasięg nie upoważnia do formułowania daleko idących uogólnień. Realizowane w środowisku studentów Uniwersytetu Warmińsko–Mazurskiego mogą służyć tylko do formułowania wniosków o charakterze lokalnym lub porównawczym z podobnymi w treści i zasięgu badaniami w innych ośrodkach akademickich. Analiza materiału empirycznego pozwala na przedstawienie kilku stwierdzeń, które znajdują odzwierciedlenie w ocenach i opiniach studentów: 1. Upowszechnienie Internetu otworzyło nowe formy uprawiania legalnego i nielegalnego hazardu; 2. W grupie legalnych gier hazardowych największą popularnością cieszą się zakłady totalizatora sportowego, zakłady bukmacherskie, gry sieciowe i na automatach. 3. W środowisku akademickim nielegalne formy hazardu nie są popularne. Systematyczny udział deklaruje mniej niż 3% studentów; 4. W grupie nielegalnego hazardu największą popularnością cieszą się gry w nielegalnych kasynach, na automatach i nielegalne zakłady bukmacherskie; 5. W akademikach funkcjonują nielegalne kasyna, miejsca do gry w karty. Jedna czwarta respondentów stwierdziła, że w trakcie studiów grała w karty na pieniądze; 6. Wśród najbardziej skutecznych środków i metod zwalczania nielegalnego hazardu respondenci wymieniają: blokowanie stron internetowych, zmiany w prawie na bardziej restrykcyjne, działalność prewencyjną Policji, zakaz reklamy nielegalnych serwisów internetowych i blokowanie przepływu pieniędzy przez konta bankowe; 7. Wśród gier, które w największym stopniu uzależniają, respondenci wymieniają: gry na automatach, zakłady wzajemne (bukmacherstwo) i hazard internetowy.
The article presents research report, conducted among students UWM, about gambling and its modern varieties. The Internet has revolutionized the game and betting on the money. In preparing the concept of the test procedure attempts to exemplify the empirical phenomena through quantitative and qualitative field research. Legal and illegal gambling have become the subject of research undertaken in 2015 by the Department of Security and Public Order UWM. The aim was to determine the significance of the problem and the impact on social security of students. The basic empirical material comes from 2015. The study was conducted on a group of 2,166 respondents. When designing the test procedure adopted hypothesis that students in a small way participate in gambling. The method of diagnostic survey and research tools in the form of a questionnaire and interview. The results obtained, the nature of the research, the area and the range does not entitle to formulate far-reaching generalizations. Carried out among students of the University of Warmia-Mazury can only serve to draw conclusions about the nature of local or comparative similar in content and scope of research in other academic centers. Analysis of empirical material allows the presentation of a number of statements, which are reflected in the assessments and opinions of the students. 1. Dissemination of the Internet has opened up new forms of practicing the legal and illegal gambling. 2. In the group of legal gambling, the most popular sports totalizator betting, sports betting, Internet hazard and slot machines. 3. Among students illegal forms of gambling are not popular. Systematic participation declares less than 3% of students. 4. In the group of illegal gambling, the most popular games are illegal casinos, slot machines and illegal betting. 5. In the dorms operate illegal casinos, a place to play cards. One quarter of respondents said that during his studies was playing cards for money. 6. Among the most effective means and methods of combating illegal gambling, respondents mention: blocking websites, changes in the law to more restrictive, prevention activities of the Police, the advertising ban illegal websites and blocking the flow of money through bank accounts. 7. Among the games that have the greatest potential for addiction, the respondents mention: slot machines, betting (bookmaking) and online gambling. - Źródło:
