Opis:
In this article, the most recent moldavite discoveries in Poland and their host sediments are characterised and discussed. They were discovered at Lasów, located about 8 km north of Zgorzelec (Poland) and Görlitz (Germany), about 700 m from the Polish-German border, close to the Lusatian Neisse (Nysa) River. The tektites were collected from Vistulian (Wiechselian) glacial age sand and gravel of a closed quarry pit, associated with the river terraces. In the Lasów area, the moldavite-bearing sediments are Pleistocene in age and represent Lusatian Neisse terrace deposits. They were redeposited from the upper part of the drainage basin of the Lusatian Neisse, probably washed out from the Miocene sediments that filled the Zittau Depression, the Berzdorf–Radomierzyce Depression, the Višňová Depression and the tectonically uplifted Izera Mts. and Działoszyn Depression. The erosion of Miocene deposit occured on a large scale in the uplifted foothills of the Upper Miocene Izera, Lusatia and Kaczawa complexes. The sediment cover was removed from the Działoszyn Depression. The drainage basin of the Lusatian Neisse is the area where moldavites were formed by the Nördlinger Ries impact. The source area of moldavite is the same for the Miocene deposits around Gozdnica, as well as for the Pleistocene sediments at Lasów.

Opis:
Different designs of the plant tissue culture vessel, such as size, material, and shape, may alter its microenvironment atmosphere. The present study was conducted on protocorm-like bodies (PLBs) of Dendrobium Sabin Blue orchid to determine the development of PLBs on plastic and glass culture vessels of different sizes. PLBs were cultured in half-strength Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium with the same initial weight of 0.5 g in 10 replicates. The growth index of the PLBs was calculated after 11 weeks to study their growth in every vessel; additionally, biochemical analysis was performed to determine carbohydrate content, proline concentration, and photosynthesis pigments in the PLBs. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was performed to study stomata development on PLBs in each vessel, and histological analyses were conducted to study the cell structure. Overall, the PLBs cultured in a large 470 ml plastic vessel showed successful growth with a high growth index, high carbohydrate content, low-stress condition, and high chlorophyll content. SEM confirmed that the presence of trichome and rhizoid in PLBs cultured in the 470 ml plastic vessel. Histological analysis showed the formation of the shoot on the PLBs and the presence of starch granules. Thus, the use of plastic as a culture vessel provides a good impact for culturing PLBs and has low cost.

Opis:
Solving two-point boundary value problems has become a scope of interest among many researchers due to its significant contributions in the field of science, engineering, and economics which is evidently apparent in many previous literary publications. This present paper aims to discretize the two-point boundary value problems by using a quartic non-polynomial spline before finally solving them iteratively with Conjugate Gradient (CG) method. Then, the performances of the proposed approach in terms of iteration number, execution time and maximum absolute error are compared with Gauss-Seidel (GS) and Successive Over-Relaxation (SOR) iterative methods. Based on the performances analysis, the two-point boundary value problems are found to have the most favorable results when solved using CG compared to GS and SOR methods.

Opis:
We demonstrate the dependence of the entanglement dynamics on the global classical regime of regular, mixed and chaotic dynamics with initial squeezed coherent states. By squeezing the initial states, we are able to enhance or suppress the entanglement entropy of the dynamically generated quantum states relative to those produced via initial coherent states. This suggests the possibility of exploiting a judicious selection of initial squeezed states to create quantum states with enhanced entanglement entropy dynamically for the purpose of robust quantum information processing.

Opis:
The numerical method can be a good choice in solving nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) due to the difficulty in finding the analytical solution. Porous medium equation (PME) is one of the nonlinear PDEs which exists in many realistic problems. This paper proposes a four-point Newton-EGMSOR (4-Newton-EGMSOR) iterative method in solving 1D nonlinear PMEs. The reliability of the 4-Newton-EGMSOR iterative method in computing approximate solutions for several selected PME problems is shown with comparison to 4-Newton-EGSOR, 4-Newton-EG and Newton-Gauss-Seidel methods. Numerical results showed that the proposed method is superior in terms of the number of iterations and computational time compared to the other three tested iterative methods.
