This paper studies the output tracking and almost disturbance decoupling problem of nonlinear control systems with uncertainties via fuzzy logic control and feedback linearization approach. The main contribution of this study is to construct a controller, under appropriate conditions, such that the resulting closed-loop system enjoys for any initial condition and bounded tracking signal the following characteristics: input-to-state stability with respect to disturbance inputs and almost disturbance decoupling, i.e., the influence of disturbances on the L2 norm of the output tracking error can be arbitrarily attenuated by increasing some adjustable parameters. The underlying theoretical approaches are the differential geometry approach and the composite Lyapunov approach. One example, which cannot be solved by the approach from the first paper (Marino et al., 1989) on the almost disturbance decoupling problem, is proposed in this paper to exploit the fact that the almost disturbance decoupling and the convergence rate performances are easily achieved by virtue of our approach. In order to demonstrate the practical applicability, the paper takes up the study of an inverted pendulum control system.

We consider the problem of designing a feedback control law in order to reject the unknown bounded disturbance and achieve tracking of reference inputs in control systems described by a class of nonlinear time-delay differential-algebraic equations. Based on the input-output feedback linearization technique and Lya-pimov method for nonlinear state feedback synthesis, a robust globally asymptotical output tracking controller design methodology for nonlinear time-delay control systems with delays on the states and the input is developed. The underlying theoretical approaches are the differential geometry approach and the composite Lyapunov approach. For the view of practical application, the proposed control methodology has been successfully applied to the famous nonlinear automobile idle-speed control system problem.

The present study was conducted in the lobbies of 16 Taiwanese urban hospitals to establish what contributes to the degree of noisiness experienced by patients and those accompanying them. Noise level measurements were then conducted by 15 min equivalent sound pressure levels (LAeq, 15m, dB) during daytime hours. The average LAeq itself was found to be poorly related to perceived noisiness. Levels variations were better correlated, more continual noise may actually be perceived as noisier. According to the findings of a multiple linear stepwise regression model (r = 0.91, R2 = 0.83), the 3 independent variables shown to have the largest effects on perceived noisiness were 1) 1/(L5−L95), 2) effective duration of the normalized autocorrelation function (_e, h), of all LAeq, 15m over 9–17, and 3) percentile loudness, N5, 15m. These results resemble previous studies that had assumed that a larger fluctuation of noise level corresponds to less annoyance experienced for mixed traffic noise studied in a laboratory situation. As an advanced approach, for hospital noise that consisted of 12 audible noise events, subjective noisiness were evaluated by the noise time structure analyzed by autocorrelation with loudness and levels variation.

Opis:
A systematic approach, based on multiple products of the vector algebra (S-VA), is proposed to derive the spherical triangle formulae for solving the great circle track (GCT) problems. Because the mathematical properties of the geometry and algebra are both embedded in the S-VA approach, derivations of the spherical triangle formulae become more understandable and more straightforward as compared with those approaches which use the complex linear combination of a vector basis. In addition, the S-VA approach can handle all given initial conditions for solving the GCT problems simpler, clearer and avoid redundant formulae existing in the conventional approaches. With the technique of transforming the Earth coordinates system of latitudes and longitudes into the Cartesian one and adopting the relative longitude concept, the concise governing equations of the S-VA approach can be easily and directly derived. Owing to the advantage of the S-VA approach, it makes the practical navigator quickly adjust to solve the GCT problems. Based on the S-VA approach, a program namely GCTPro_VA is developed for friendly use of the navigator. Several validation examples are provided to show the S-VA approach is simple and versatile to solve the GCT problems.

Coastline is one type of valuable non-renewable resources. From the perspective of economic theory, it can gather population, promote traffic construction, and then improve the level of international trade. The research object of this paper is the coastline resource in Dafeng area. Firstly, we have a brief summary of the existing coastline evaluation literature, then introduce the location and natural attributes of the coastline resources in Dafeng. Following that, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model is used to build the economic evaluation index system based on the characteristics of coastline in Dafeng. Specially, this index system consists of 6 factors, and a total of 41 detailed indicators were chosen including water depth, GDP, etc. On this basis, we use the assignment method to quantify the weight of each index, and calculate the comprehensive score of coastline resource by using the YAAHP software. The final conclusion is as follows: The total score of economic evaluation of coastline resource in Dafeng is 0.87. Therefore, the coastline resource in Dafeng will eventually be constructed a unique coastal economic zone, where the implemented port industrial projects will include shipbuilding, logistics, mechanical processing etc.

This study applies a skew ray tracing approach based on a 4×4 homogeneous coordinate transformation matrix and Snell’s law to analyze the errors of a ray light path as it passes through a series of optical elements in an asymmetrical optical system. The proposed error analysis methodology considers two principal sources of a light path error, namely: i) the translational errors and the rotational errors which determine the deviation of the light path at each boundary surface, and ii) the differential changes induced in the incident point position and unit directional vector of the refracted/reflected ray as a result of differential changes in the position and unit directional vector of the light source. The validity of the proposed methodology is verified by analyzing the effects of optical errors in a corner cube.

As an important quality characteristic, maintainability is the ability of a product to be repaired efficiently and economically. Because it is mainly determined at the design stage, maintainability is mostly affected by the construction of a product. Traditional product design methods put more focus on design for function and production, neglecting design for maintainability, which causes a gap between functional construction design and maintainability design. The delay of maintainability design results in huge costs for design changes and even irrevocable design flaws. Because of the weak relationship between functional construction and maintainability in product design, the influence of maintainability design on the product is limited. To resolve this problem, this paper proposes a design approach considering the relationship between maintainability and functional construction. First, maintainability design factors (MDFs) and functional construction design factors (FCDFs) are defined and classified. Second, based on topology graphic theory, a correlative relationship model is constructed by graphically combining the MDFs and FCDFs into a network diagram. Third, to determine primary design factors, a quantization matrix is developed to perform importance evaluation of the correlative relationship. Finally, a practical case is studied by implementing the proposed approach for the lubrication system of an armoured vehicle. The results validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the approach.
Konserwowalność to ważna charakterystyka jakościowa, którą można zdefiniować jako możliwość wydajnej i ekonomicznej naprawy produktu. Ponieważ o konserwowalności produktu decydują głównie wybory dokonane na etapie projektowania, największy wpływ na nią ma budowa produktu. Tradycyjne metody projektowania produktów kładą większy nacisk na projektowanie funkcji i produkcji, zaniedbując projektowanie pod kątem łatwości konserwacji, co powoduje powstanie luki między projektowaniem funkcjonalnej budowy produktu a projektowaniem jego konserwowalności. Opóźnienie etapu projektowania konserwowalności generuje ogromne koszty związane z koniecznością zmian projektu i może nawet prowadzić do nieodwracalnych wad projektowych. Ze względu na słabą zależność między budową funkcjonalną a konserwowalnością w projektowaniu produktu, wpływ projektowania konserwowalności na produkt jest ograniczony. Aby rozwiązać ten problem, w niniejszej pracy zaproponowano podejście projektowe uwzględniające związek między konserwowalnością a budową funkcjonalną wyrobu. Po pierwsze, zdefiniowano i sklasyfikowano czynniki konstrukcyjne (projektowe) dotyczące konserwowalności (MDF) oraz czynniki konstrukcyjne związane z budową funkcjonalną produktu (FCDF). Po drugie, w oparciu o teorię graficznej reprezentacji topologii, zbudowano model zależności korelacyjnych między MDF i FCDF w postaci diagramu sieciowego. Po trzecie, w celu określenia podstawowych czynników konstrukcyjnych, opracowano macierz kwantyzacji, pozwalającą na ocenę ważności relacji korelacyjnych. Wreszcie, przeanalizowano przypadek układu smarowania pojazdu opancerzonego jako przykład zastosowania proponowanego podejścia w praktyce. Wyniki potwierdzają skuteczność omawianego podejścia oraz możliwość jego praktycznego wykorzystania.

In this paper, hemicyanine fluorescent dye, namely, trans-4-[p-(N,N-diethylamino) -styryl]-N-methyl pyridinium bromide (DEASPBr), was synthesised and applied to the dyeing of acrylic fabric using the traditional cationic dyeing procedure. The absorption spectra of the novel dye were studied under various pHs, and the dyeing properties, fluorescent reflectance, and colorimetric properties were also explored. The results showed that the adsorption mechanism of DEASPBr on acrylic fibre was in good accordance with the Langmuir type, and the dye had an obvious fluorescent effect. In addition, according to the EN-471 standard, the dye could meet the requirements of the fluorescent orange dye for high visibility warning clothing in terms of chromaticity co-ordinates and luminance factors when its concentration was limited in the appropriate range.
W pracy przeprowadzono syntezę barwnika fluorescencyjnego bromku trans-4-[p-(N,Ndietyloamino)-styryl]-N-metyl pyrydinium (DEASPBr) oraz zastosowano go do barwienia dzianin akrylowych klasyczną metodą barwienia kationowego. Spektra absorpcji nowego barwnika były badane przy różnych wartościach pH, a następnie badano właściwości wybarwionych dzianin, takie jak fluorescencyjny współczynnik odbicia i właściwości kolorymetryczne. Badania wykazały, że mechanizm absorpcji barwnika do włókien akrylowych był w dobrej zgodności z modelem Langmuira i dawał oczywisty efekt fluorescencyjny. Zgodnie z normą EN-471 barwnik daje fluorescencyjny efekt barwnika pomarańczowego o dobrej widzialności, mogącego mieć zastosowanie w odzieży ostrzegawczej.

Quaternary methyl di-ally ammonium salt (MDAA) was grafted on the surface of a polypropylene (PP) nonwoven using a low-temperature radio frequency discharge plasma. The graft ratio of MDAA to PP increased with the grafting temperature; at low grafting temperatures (30 or 60 °C), the graft ratio increased with the H2SO4 catalyst concentration, but at a high grafting temperature (80 °C), it was not affected, even without the use of an acid catalyst. The finished PP nonwoven exhibited excellent antibacterial activities toward Staphylococcus aureus, suggesting that plasma grafting is an effective method.
Czwartorzędową solą metylodialliloamoniową (MDAA) szczepiono powierzchnię włókniny polipropylenowej stosując niskotemperaturową plazmę o częstotliwości radiowej. Stosunek szczepienia MDAA do PP wzrastał ze wzrostem temperatury szczepienia, przy niskich temperaturach szczepienia (30 lub 60°C) stosunek szczepienia wzrastał ze wzrostem stężenia katalizatora H2SO4, natomiast przy wysokich temperaturach szczepienia (80°C) nie zaobserwowano wpływu nawet bez stosowania kwasowego katalizatora. Wykończone włókniny polipropylenowe wykazywały doskonałą aktywność anytbakteryjną w stosunku do Staphylococcus aureus. Wyniki badań wskazują, że szczepienie plazmowe jest efektywną metodą uzyskiwania właściwości anytbakteryjnych.

The risk level of the Aids to Navigation (AtoNs) can reflect the ship navigation safety level in the channel to some extent. In order to appreciate the risk level of the aids to navigation (AtoNs) in a navigation channel and to provide some decision‐making suggestions for the AtoNs Maintenance and Management Department, the risk assessment index system of the AtoNs was built considering the advanced experience of IALA. Under the Formal Safety Assessment frame, taking the advantages of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the fuzzy‐FSA model of risk assessment for aids to navigation was established. The model was implemented for the assessment of aids to navigation in Shanghai area based on the aids to navigation three‐dimensional simulation system. The real‐time data were extracted from the existing information system of aids to navigation, and the real‐time risk assessment for aids to navigation of the chosen channel was performed on platform of the three‐dimensional simulation system, with the risk assessment software. Specifically, the deep‐water channel of the Yangtze River estuary was taken as an example to illustrate the general assessment procedure. The method proposed presents practical significance and application prospect on the maintenance and management of the aids to navigation.

A FEM-BEM coupling approach is used for acoustic fluid-structure interaction analysis. The FEM is used to model the structure and the BEM is used to model the exterior acoustic domain. The aim of this work is to improve the computational efficiency and accuracy of the conventional FEM-BEM coupling approach. The fast multipole method (FMM) is applied to accelerating the matrix-vector products in BEM. The Burton-Miller formulation is used to overcome the fictitious eigen-frequency problem when using a single Helmholtz boundary integral equation for exterior acoustic problems. The continuous higher order boundary elements and discontinuous higher order boundary elements for 2D problem are developed in this work to achieve higher accuracy in the coupling analysis. The performance for coupled element types is compared via a simple example with analytical solution, and the optimal element type is obtained. Numerical examples are presented to show the relative errors of different coupled element types.

Opis:
Purpose: Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion is a common surgical procedure performed to remove a degenerative or herniated disc in cervical spine. Unfortunately, clinical complications of anterior cervical plate (ACP) systems still occur, such as weak fixation stability and implant loosening. Previous researchers have attempted to ameliorate these complications by varying screw orientations, but the screw orientations are mainly determined according to the investigator’s experiences. Thus, the aim of this study was to discover the optimal screw orientations of ACP systems to achieve acceptable fixation stability using finite element simulations and engineering algorithms. Methods: Three-dimensional finite element models of C3-T2 multi-level segments with an ACP system were first developed to analyze the fixation stability using ANSYS Workbench 14.5. Then, artificial neural networks were applied to create one objective function, and the optimal screw orientations of an ACP system were discovered by genetic algorithms. Finally, the numerical models and the optimization study were validated using biomechanical tests. Results: The results showed that the optimal design of the ACP system had highest fixation stability compared with other ACP designs. The neuro-genetic algorithm has effectively reduced the time and effort required for discovering for the optimal screw orientations of an ACP system. Conclusions: The optimum screw orientation of the ACP system could be successfully discovered, and it revealed excellent fixation stability for the treatment of cervical degenerative disc disease. This study could directly provide the biomechanical rationale and surgical suggestion to orthopedic surgeons.

In this paper, the robust asymptotic stability problem for a class of nominally stable uncertain singularly perturbed systems with multiple non-commensurate time delays is considered. A delay-dependent criterion is first proposed in this paper to guarantee robust asymptotic stability of the system under consideration. Based on this result, the range of allowable bounds of the perturbation matrices preserving the closed-loop stability can easily be found. Moreower, a simple criterion is also proposed to guarantee asymptotic, stability of the nominal system. Furthermore, a simple estimation of the stability bound epsilon* is proposed such that the nominal system is asymptotically stable for epsilon [belongs to](0,epsilon*). It can be seen that the stability bound proposed in this paper is less conservative than that presented in recent research. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate our main results.

Opis:
A safe apparel design and production (SADP) model was proposed as a system to guide the development of safe apparel. An objective analysis of user needs and examination of safe nutrients used in apparel design uncovered through related technical regulations/standards induction and recall case analysis led to the development of apparel safety needs criteria. The criteria were then translated into apparel safety attributes and used in the development of the SADP model. A theoretical evaluation model remained to be developed for apparel safety purposes using multi-part disassembly. It is hierarchically structured in accordance with apparel safety attributes, and demonstrates how the apparel design safety criteria was used by a design team or an industry worker. By the introduction of the apparel design safety evaluation model, a further shift to pro-action and to the prevention of losses will be made possible. The research also demonstrates the application of the SADP model to a textile product design problem.
Zaproponowano kilka modeli bezpiecznego projektowania i produkcji odzieży jako systemu pozyskiwania odzieży bezpiecznej. Przeprowadzono obiektywną analizę potrzeb użytkownika, jak również stosowanych w projektowaniu i produkcji części składowych wyposażenia i odzieży. Doprowadziło to do opracowania kryteriów bezpieczeństwa projektowania i użytkowania.
