It is shown that under certain conditions such a system has a global attractor. The main result here can be seen as an improvement of the results of Olech and Meisters in [7,9] concerning the global asymptotic stability conjecture of Markus and Yamabe and the Jacobian Conjecture.

We study the behavior at infinity of non-zero constant Jacobian polynomial maps f = (P,Q) in ℂ² by analyzing the influence of the Jacobian condition on the structure of Newton-Puiseux expansions of branches at infinity of level sets of the components. One of the results obtained states that the Jacobian conjecture in ℂ² is true if the Jacobian condition ensures that the restriction of Q to the curve P = 0 has only one pole.

W tej pracy przedstawiono możliwości zastosowania geofizycznych sond otworowych, tj. kawernomierza wielkośrednicowego i echosondy ultradźwiękowej, które zostały skonstruowane przez Ośrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy Górnictwa Surowców Chemicznych „CHEMKOP” Sp. z o.o. do badania kształtu i rozmiarów kawern powstałych w wysadach oraz pokładach solnych. Zbadano zarówno w warunkach laboratoryjnych, jak i rzeczywistych wpływ temperatury, ciśnienia i zasolenia cieczy na prędkość rozchodzenia fali ultradźwiękowej. Podano również sposoby określenia granicy między szyją a stropem kawern, granicy rozdziału faz między gazem a solanką zawartych w kawernach. Badania te realizowane są na etapie eksploatacji pokładu soli złożowej oraz podczas magazynowania w kawernach węglowodorów ciekłych lub gazowych.
This paper presents the application possibilities of the large-scale cavernometer and echo probe produced by CHEMKOP Company in the study of the shape and geometrical parameters of the underground caverns formed in consequence of salt deposits exploitation. The influence of temperature, pressure and mineralization of the brine on the propagation velocity of the acoustic wave was tested in both laboratory and real conditions. The methods for localization of the boundary between borehole and cavern body as well as the boundary between gas and brine were proposed. The measurements of the geometrical parameter using the mentioned probes could be made during salt exploitation as well as during accumulation of the hydrocarbon liquid fuel in the studied caverns.

Generally, underground ancient canals are infilled with alluvial materials, with the canal bed and substrate often having different resistivity values. This study aimed to determine the location and morphology of Malleret’s ancient canal 16 located to the southeast of the Ba The mountain, Mekong Delta, Vietnam by means of geophysical techniques. Two geophysical methods were used: electromagnetic profile and electric resisitivity tomography. A geoelectric structure 70 m long with 70–95 mS/m of apparent conductivity was found. On the electrical resistivity tomography section, a resistivity zone of 10–20 Ω∙m, 1–4 m deep, 70 m wide corresponds to the mentioned above geoelectric structure, which is in an asymmetric U-shape extending toward the southeastern bank of canal 16. Hand-augering confirmed that the canal bed is fully incised into Holocene sediments as a substrate which stretches down to the Pleistocene. The sediments are composed of loams mixed with plant remains with a resistivity ρ ~ 10–15 Ω∙m. Both of the canal banks at a depth of 5 m are made up of Holocene sedi-ments (ρ ~ 4–10 Ω∙m). The 14C measurements determined the age of the organic matter in the canal as being equal to 1210 ±85 BP, suggesting canal 16 ceased being operational at that time. The precise positioning of canal 16 on the ground surface, as well as identifying the morphology of the canal bed, were corroborated by geophysical techniques. The obtained results are of considerable value to archaeologists.

Magnetite, pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite are the major minerals identified in the deposit, while ilmenite, marcasite, tennantite, cubanite, arsenopyrite, galena, allanite, chevkinite, apatite, Bi-native, bismuthinite, electrum, native gold, and tellurides are the minor ones in the Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) Sin Quyen deposit. The REEs are hosted mostly by allanite, and the minor minerals by chevkinite, monazite, apatite and uraninite. Based on chemical analyses and Raman spectroscopy, two varieties of allanite have been documented: (1) with lower total REE contents of 13-19 wt.%, and (2) with higher contents of 20-23 wt.%. Uraninite from copper-iron massive ores is inhomogeneous in both optical properties and chemical composition. The concentrations of uranium and total rare earth element oxides (REOs) in the paragenetically earlier uraninite are 84.55-85.96% and 1.9-8.0% on average, respectively, whereas in paragenetically later uraninite, the U and ΣREE2O3 concentrations are 96.2-96.7% and 1.3-2.7% on average respectively. The thorium concentration in both the early and late uraninites is very low (0.21-0.22% and 0.2 % on average). These are the highest REE concentrations as compared with the known concentrations of these elements in uraninite. Electron microprobe “chemical” dating of the uraninite yielded an age of 500 ±33 Ma (n = 35) for the paragenetically early uraninite, and an age of 73 ±15 Ma (n = 6) for the paragenetically later ones. The minerals of the older age, which is interpreted as the primary ore mineralization stage, correspond in age with a range of deposits along the East Gondwana margin. The measured δ34S of sulphide minerals from -2.78 to +8.65‰ suggests hydrothermal origin of fluid that was responsible for transportation and crystallization.

The article describes three interlaboratory experiments concerning 222Rn determination in water samples. The first two experiments were carried out with the use of artificial radon waters prepared by the Laboratory of Radiometric Expertise (LER), Institute of Nuclear Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków in 2014 and 2018. The third experiment was performed using natural environment waters collected in the vicinity of the former uranium mine in Kowary in 2016. Most of the institutions performing radon in water measurements in Poland were gathered in the Polish Radon Centre Network, and they participated in the experiments. The goal of these exercises was to evaluate different measurement techniques used routinely in Polish laboratories and the laboratories’ proficiency of radon in water measurements. In the experiment performed in 2018, the reference values of 222Rn concentration in water were calculated based on the method developed at LER. The participants’ results appeared to be worse for low radon concentration than for high radon concentrations. The conclusions drawn on that base indicated the weaknesses of the used methods and probably the sampling. The interlaboratory experiments, in term, can help to improve the participants’ skills and reliability of their results.

This study describes a pickup and delivery vehicle routing problem, considering time windows in reality. The problem of tractor truck routes is formulated by a mixed integer programming model. Besides this, three algorithms - a guided local search, a tabu search, and simulated annealing - are proposed as solutions. The aims of our study are to optimize the number of internal tractor trucks used, and create optimal routes in order to minimize total logistics costs, including the fixed and variable costs of an internal vehicle group and the renting cost of external vehicles. Besides, our study also evaluates both the quality of solutions and the time to find optimal solutions to select the best suitable algorithm for the real problem mentioned above. A novel mathematical model is formulated by OR tools for Python. Compared to the current solution, our results reduced total costs by 18%, increased the proportion of orders completed by internal vehicles (84%), and the proportion of orders delivered on time (100%). Our study provides a mathematical model with time constraints and large job volumes for a complex distribution network in reality. The proposed mathematical model provides effective solutions for making decisions at logistics companies. Furthermore, our study emphasizes that simulated annealing is a more suitable algorithm than the two others for this vehicle routing problem.

In this paper, a numerical and experimental investigation of geometrical parameters of the blade for plastic bottle shredder was performed based on the Taguchi method in combination with a response surface method (RSM). Nowadays, plastic waste has become a major threat to the environment. Shredding, in which plastic waste is shredded into small bits, ready for transportation and further processing, is a crucial step in plastic recycling. Although many studies on plastic shredders were performed, there was still a need for more researches on the optimization of shredder blades. Hence, a numerical analysis was carried out to study the influences of the relevant geometrical parameters. Next, a two-step optimization process combining the Taguchi method and the RSM was utilized to define optimal parameters. The simulation results clearly confirmed that the current technique can triumph over the limitation of the Taguchi method, originated from a discrete optimization nature. The optimal blade was then fabricated and experimented, showing lower wear via measurement by an ICamScope® microscope. Hence, it can be clearly inferred from this investigation that the current optimization method is a simple, sufficient tool to be applied in such a traditional process without using any complicated algorithms or expensive software.

Bankfull discharge is an important criterion for flash flood warnings. In this study, the authors propose a new approach to determine the bankfull discharge for basins in Ha Giang province, Vietnam. The study combines the field survey to determine the bankfull discharge through the bankfull indicators and develop a multivariate regression equation between the bankfull discharge and the basin characteristics. The results of the study give a simple equation with 2 independent variables. They are the catchment area and the main river length. They show a strong relationship with the bankfull discharge with the R2 indexes in developing and validating process equal to 95.3% and 92.7%, respectively. With this approach, the workload is significantly reduced. However, the accuracy and flexibility of the total discharge calculation are enhanced. This will be the foundation to reduce uncertainty in flash flood warnings.

Digital transformation is one of the inevitable trends in today’s world. Vietnam is one of the pioneer countries following this trend and has launched a national digital transformation program. Digital transformation has attracted great interest from both the community of scientists and managers in general and in the field of coal mining and other minerals. Currently, researchers have been focusing on issues, such as the theory of digital transformation in both state and the business sector, the relationships between digital transformation and the building of e-government or digital government, and between digital transformation and effective national administration. In this study, the method of document-based analysis (Desk review) was used to analyze and evaluate the current situation of digital transformation of the coal and mineral mining industry and identify achievements as well as limitations of the digital transformation process in the coal and mineral mining industry in Vietnam. The study presents the following issues: (1) Some general issues about digital transformation, in which the concept of digital transformation is clarified; Meaning of digital transformation in the field of coal and mineral mining; Requirements for digital transformation in the field of coal-mineral mining. (2) The current status of digital transformation in coal-mineral mining in Vietnam, including applying advanced technologies in exploration and mining, and application of advanced technologies in mining and environmental protection.
Cyfrowa transformacja to jeden z nieuniknionych trendów w dzisiejszym świecie. Wietnam jest jednym z pionierskich krajów podążających za tym trendem i uruchomił krajowy program transformacji cyfrowej. Transformacja cyfrowa cieszy się dużym zainteresowaniem zarówno środowiska naukowców, jak i menedżerów w ogóle oraz w obszarze górnictwa węgla kamiennego i innych kopalin. Obecnie badacze koncentrują się na takich zagadnieniach, jak teoria transformacji cyfrowej zarówno w państwie, jak iw sektorze biznesowym, związki między transformacją cyfrową a budową e-government lub cyfrowego rządu oraz między transformacją cyfrową a efektywną administracją państwową. W niniejszym opracowaniu metoda analizy dokumentów (Desk review) została wykorzystana do analizy i oceny aktualnej sytuacji transformacji cyfrowej górnictwa węgla kamiennego i kopalin oraz identyfikacji osiągnięć i ograniczeń procesu transformacji cyfrowej w górnictwie węglowym i mineralnym. przemysł wydobywczy minerałów w Wietnamie. W opracowaniu przedstawiono następujące zagadnienia: (1) Niektóre ogólne zagadnienia dotyczące transformacji cyfrowej, w których doprecyzowano pojęcie transformacji cyfrowej; Znaczenie transformacji cyfrowej w obszarze górnictwa węglowego i mineralnego; Wymagania transformacji cyfrowej w obszarze górnictwa węglowo-mineralnego. The IOCG Sin Quyen deposit is located in the Red River shear zone of North Vietnam. The ore bodies are known as hydrothermal veins and are hosted in Proterozoic metapelite. A block modelling approach was used to build a 3D model of the ore bodies. An analysis was carried out on Surfer 11 computer software using the archival data recorded from several dozen boreholes distributed within the study area, as well as data obtained from the mineral and chemical analysis of 50 samples collected recently in the deposit. The ore bodies generally trend in a NW-SE direction with an average azimuth of 107° and dip of around 70°.The Cu content in the ore bodies is inhomogeneous. In the bed extension direction, the exponential correlation of Cu concentration in ore bodies is recognized within 2,500 m, while in the direction perpendicular to the bed strike, the exponential dependence is observed on 500 m of distance. The high-grade mineralisation of copper within the ore bodies is often at the altitude interval from ∼100 m to ∼150 m above sea level (asl). These bodies are also rich in uranium and gold bearing minerals. The total resources of Cu, U and Ag were estimated and amount to 361,000; 12.7 and 11.87 tonnes respectively. The model indicates the downward extension of some ore bodies to below 300 m beneath the ground surface.

In line with modern era, it is a high demand of renewable energies due to fossil fuels crisis. This study applies food garbage to produce biogas - an alternative renewable energy source – under lab-scale batch and semi-continuous reactors. Designing with four loading total solid (TS) rates of 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, and 2.5%, the batch and the semi-continuous testing set up in 1.5 L and 21 L plastic reactors, respectively. Both testing was run in 60 days, produced biogas volume and compositions were recorded daily in semi-continuous reactors, and every ten days in the batch reactors. The results show that in batch testing, the biogas yields of treatments 1.0%TS, 1.5%TS, and 2.0%TS were better than those for treatment of 2.5%TS; however, %CH4 concentrations were better for treatments 2.0%TS and 2.5%TS. For the semi-continuous testing, the loading rate of 2.5% total solid food garbage produced the highest biogas yield which could meet the household demand of daily gas. Up to the day of 60, the %CH4 concentration was nearly 45% which proof the biogas can be used for cooking. H2S concentration in biogas was high which must be reduced to use produced biogas for cooking purpose. Further study needs to avoid accumulation of soluble organic acids, leading the low pH and inhibits methane-producing microorganisms in food garbage anaerobic reactor.

This paper aims to determine the effect of global economic policy uncertainty on the banking system's stability in Asian countries. The dependent variable in the study is measured through the bank's payment risk Zscore. The primary explanatory factor is global economic policy uncertainty, and other control variables include the banking system's characteristics and the national economic environment. Asian banking systems’ data are collected from World Bank between 2008 and 2020. Based on the System Generalized Method of Moments, the main results indicate that global economic policy uncertainty is seriously exacerbating the instability of the banking system of Asian countries. The study also shows that the ability to use mobilized capital and the degree of concentration of the system reduces the adverse impact of global economic policy uncertainty on the stability of the banking system in Asian countries.
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest określenie wpływu niepewności globalnej polityki gospodarczej na stabilność systemu bankowego w krajach azjatyckich. Zmienna zależna w badaniu jest mierzona za pomocą wskaźnika Zscore ryzyka płatniczego banku. Głównym czynnikiem objaśniającym jest niepewność globalnej polityki gospodarczej, a inne zmienne kontrolne obejmują charakterystykę systemu bankowego i krajowe środowisko gospodarcze. Dane dotyczące azjatyckich systemów bankowych pochodzą z Banku Światowego w latach 2008-2020. W oparciu o system uogólnionej metody momentów, główne wyniki wskazują, że niepewność globalnej polityki gospodarczej poważnie pogarsza niestabilność systemu bankowego krajów azjatyckich. Badanie pokazuje również, że zdolność do wykorzystania zmobilizowanego kapitału i stopień koncentracji systemu zmniejsza niekorzystny wpływ niepewności globalnej polityki gospodarczej na stabilność systemu bankowego w krajach azjatyckich.
