    The article depicts main ideas of the model of liberal democracy and resulting civil obligations, as well as proves that values such as: freedom, equality, individualism, autonomy, self-determination, pluralism, tolerance and individual rights may constitute a valuable basis for social life. Moreover, the article contradicts the thesis representing the citizen as an isolated individual, deprived of moral directions and supported by values, by balancing it with an independent, self-reliant and responsible individual.

    Opis:
    Liberalism and republicanism constitute two major concepts of civic participation, both in the historical and the socio-philosophical meaning. The first one is questioned because of its individualistic vision of citizenship leading to impairment of community ideas and values, responsibility and motivation to engage in actions promoting the common good and decay of social bonds. The republican pattern of civic participation is a correction of this concept, putting emphasis on the value and meaning of communal forms of social life as well as on civil education. The article characterizes and compares both patterns of civic involvement in socio-political life, emphasizing differences and simplifications occurring between particular orientations of both republican and liberal concepts. Moreover, the article aims at interpreting main ideas constituting the republican idea, such as: freedom, equality, community, common good and solidarity.

    Local self-government constitutes the common good of the state and all its citizens. His appointment is justified by the implementation of various goods, delivery of public services, undertaking activities and cooperation aimed at satisfying the collective needs of civic communities - the state community and self-government communities. Recognition of local government as a special good can be found in many approaches, among which a special place is occupied by the constitutional principle of the common good and social doctrine of the Catholic Church. Both meanings correspond with each other, and their interpretations recognize local government as the common good of the state and all citizens, at the same time citizens who are residents of individual self-government communities. What is the common good of local government? What is the understanding of the common good of local government in terms of the constitutional principle of the common good and social doctrine of the Catholic Church? What is the understanding of the common good within the framework of cooperation between local government and the Territorial Defence Forces? This study is an attempt to answer these questions, as well as to indicate selected examples of the title relationship for the common good.

    Treść artykułu obejmuje problematyzację teoretycznych aspektów myślenia komputacyjnego oraz dydaktycznych kontekstów jego kształtowania. Zagadnienia te są osadzone w kontekstach teorii umysłu i procesów poznawczych, gdzie śledzone są związki myślenia komputacyjnego z modelami umysłu i poszczególnymi typami myślenia. W rezultacie analiz zidentyfikowano dwie zasadnicze formy konceptualizacji CT: wąską – instrumentalną oraz zintegrowaną w ramach procesów poznawczych, w tym metapoznawczych. Ich rozwijaniu towarzyszą odrębne strategie dydaktyczne: instrumentalno-behawioralna i konstruktywistyczna.
    The paper involves problematization of theoretical aspects of computational thinking and didactic contexts of its formation. These issues are embedded in the contexts of theory of mind and cognitive processes, where the connections of computational thinking with models of mind and particular modes of thinking are traced. As a result of the analyses, two main forms of CT conceptualization are identified: narrow-instrumental and integrated within cognitive processes, including metacognitive. Their development is accompanied by distinct didactic strategies: instrumental-behavioral and constructivist.
