Opis:: Road accidents are a serious social problem. At present, highly-developed countries believe victims of road traffic should be treated not as a side effect of increased mobility but an important public health issue. The paper presents both the interpretive and quantitative analyses of claims of parties injured in road accidents as well as the current trend in the field of pension benefits.
Wypadki drogowe są poważnym problemem społecznym. Obecnie państwa wysoko rozwinięte przyjęły, że ofiary ruchu drogowego powinny być traktowane nie jako uboczny skutek podwyższonej mobilności, lecz jako istotny problem zdrowia publicznego. W opracowaniu przedstawiono zarówno analizę interpretacyjną i ilościową roszczeń przysługujących osobom poszkodowanym w wypadkach drogowych, jak i aktualną tendencję w obszarze świadczeń rentowych.

Opis:: The aim of the study is to provide the evaluation of selected risk factors in third party liability insurance agreements for motor vehicle owners. The study covers: age admitted, the astrological sign of policy-holder and the age of vehicle. Automobile insurance risk is determined by a number of factors arising from both external environment as well as psychological features of policy-holders. The study was preliminary and may constitute the basis for further research.
Celem opracowania jest ocena wybranych czynników ryzyka w ubezpieczeniu odpowiedzialności cywilnej posiadaczy pojazdów mechanicznych. Przedmiotem badań objęto: wiek ubezpieczonego, znak zodiaku ubezpieczonego oraz wiek pojazdu. Ryzyko w ubezpieczeniu OC komunikacyjnym jest determinowane szeregiem czynników, wynikających zarówno z otoczenia zewnętrznego, jak i z cech psychologicznych ubezpieczonych. Przeprowadzone badanie miało charakter wstępny i może posłużyć do dalszych badań.

Opis:: Receivables play an important role in supporting the company sales and the size of receivables is associated with the policy of crediting customers. The increasing competition on the insurance market is causing premiums payment timelines to be extended and paid in instalments. Consequently, the accounts receivable from the insured are going up. In order to analyze the efficiency of collection of receivables from policy holders study was based on data from the X Insurance Company. The period of study contains of two consecutive reporting periods. The object of the study includes mainly: the effectiveness of the process of internal and external vindication; indicator of vindication costs and the average amount of receivables attributable to one vindicated payment.

Opis:: A large amount of road accidents recorded in Poland and consequently an increasing number of the death and juries are the justifications of the claim that this problem is a significant threat to public health and social issue of ever greater importance. Therefore compensation of personal injuries caused by road accidents based on compulsory third party liability insurance of motor vehicle owners came into considerable prominence. This paper aims at analysing how compensation agencies are caring out the claiming process of the damages for those directly and indirectly injured in road accidents.

Opis:: The aim of this paper is an analysis related to the impact of reinsurance on the underwriting result of the 10th group’s the second Division of the insurance. The analysis is based on the ten- -year period (1999–2008) of insurance data in Poland. The author of the paper, in order to determine the effects of the reinsurance on the underwriting result of the 10th group’s, has carried out a simulation of the technical account and has examined the underwriting results with references to reinsurance business. In the second step, the author has made a comparison between these estimated underwriting results related to reinsurance activity and the actual value of the underwriting results.

Opis:: In Poland, we have approx. 10,000 fuel stations and fuel depots. Approximately 27 million vehicles registered in Poland and several million vehicles transiting through Poland use the petrol stations. Petrol and LPG stations are very dangerous places with flammable materials. Hence, an important element is the civil liability of employees of petrol stations and fuel and LPG depots. The article presents the scale and types of threats that may occur during the operation of these facilities, and the security elements of this type of place are also discussed. The final part of the article presents the basic elements of liability insurance for petrol operators. The basic elements of this insurance are indicated, such as the scope of the liability, the contribution, the guarantee sum and the problems with settling claims.
