Composites with a 90%Pb(TixZr1–xO3)-10%NiFe1.98Co0.02O4 composition have been synthesized. It has been established that the polarization of samples resulting from exposure to an electric field for 1 hour of 4 kV/mm in strength at a temperature of 400 K leads to crystal structure deformation. The compression of elementary crystal cells in some areas during polarization of the sample creates conditions suitable for the enhancement of magnetic exchange interactions. It has been found that the polarization process of such compositions leads to increases in specific magnetization and magnetic susceptibility. The analysis of Mössbauer spectra has shown that the polarization of the 90%Pb(TixZr1–xO3)-10%NiFe1.98Co0.02O4 composite leads to significant changes in the effective magnetic fields of iron subspectra in various positions.

B6C3F₁ mice were infected with 200 or 500 larvae of Trichinella spiralis per mouse and pulmonary NK cell-mediated clearance of semisyngeneic tumour cells was determined in vivo on days 10, 20, 30, and 60 after the infection. Cytotoxic activity of NK cells in the lungs was substantially elevated on days 20 and 30 after challenge with both „doses" of the parasite. At the same time large granular lymphocytes (LGLs) as well as cells expressing surface asialo-GM₁ molecules were isolated in elevated numbers from spleens of the infected as opposed to the normal mice. Expression of other markers of differentiation, such as THy 1, CD4, and CD8 was also enhanced on splenocytes isolated from the infected mice on day 30 but not 20 after administration of the larvae. The present results indicate that NK cell-mediated activity in vivo is stimulated above the baseline level during migration and early muscle phases of the infection with T. spiralis in mice. The possible impact of this effect upon the course of trichinellosis as well as upon the growth of tumours in the infected host is discussed.

Artykuł prezentuje zagadnienia związane z możliwością transmisji sygnału opartego o magistralę I2C poprzez optyczny system światłowodowy. Przedstawiono aplikacje umożliwiające konwersję sygnału magistrali na sygnał optyczny z wykorzystaniem konwertera P82B96. Transmisję światłowodową realizować można poprzez klasyczny układ dioda LED - fotodetektor, układy TOSLINK lub system WDM. Opracowane modelowe aplikacje optycznego łącza obsługującego sygnały magistrali I2C pozwalają na budowę rzeczywistych układów konwersji dwukierunkowego sygnału magistrali do postaci optycznej.
The paper presents the problem connected with possibility of signal transmission over I2C bus through optical system. I2C is a synchronic bus through which data are sent in 8-bit frames (Fig. 3) [4]. It consists practically of two signal lines: The SDA ( data line - Serial Data Line), the SCL ( clock line - Serial Clock Line) and the ground cir-cuit (Fig. 2). The schematic diagram of a system with I2C bus is shown in Fig. 1. There three possible solutions of optical application of the bus based on use of a converter P82B96 (Fig. 4) [2] and optical fiber to transfer high-speed signals ( the speed about 3,4 Mb/s) over long data transmission lines. The simplest solution of conversion the I2C signal to optical one is a configuration using LED source (λ = 940 nm) presented in Fig. 5. The PIN-photodiode works with the maximum sensitivity of about 940 nm. There should be applied three separate optical lines, broadcasting, receiving and clock, for correct operation of this arrangement. The next configuration uses an optical transmitter TOTX173 and optical receiver TORX173 assembled to pcb (Fig. 6). They are THOSIBA elements working on the wave length of 660 nm [3]. The last proposed solution is a WDM system (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) enabling si-multaneous sending signals SCL and SDA over one optical track [1].

The paper presents assumptions for the assessment of traffic using road safety audit. The results of modeling hazards in road traffic on national roads were described. The models describing the impact of selected factors on the density of deaths and the number of deaths on the roads were defined.

The solid solutions with B8-type of crystal structure were prepared in ternary systems MnSb(Zn), MnSb(Cu), MnSb(Al), and MnSb(Si). The ranges of B8 solid solutions existence are limited. The structural and magnetic characteristics were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, magnetization measurements and the Mössbauer spectroscopy.

Measurements of X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer effect were made on a series of Y1-xScxFe2 polycrystalline samples (x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.7, 0.8, 1.0). It was found that the system has the cubic MgCu2 structure except for x = 1.0 where hexagonal MgZn2 structure type is stable. The lattice constant decreases with increasing x. The results of Mössbauer effect study at room temperature show that the easy axes of magnetization remain in the <111> direction for the cubic samples and <100> for the hexagonal one. Curie temperatures TC were determined from temperature dependence of the hyperfine magnetic fields. The concentration dependence of the hyperfine fields and TC show similar trends, exhibiting a maximum at x = 0.8. The magnetic and structural behaviour show that, in spite of being isoelectronic, the substitution of Y by Sc induces clear changes in the structural and magnetic properties of the compounds under investigation.

Opis:
Inspekcja drogowa prowadzona pod kątem bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego jest narzędziem pozwalającym na identyfikowanie mankamentów sieci drogowej. W artykule przedstawiono ogólne założenia wykonywania inspekcji i jej cele oraz wskazano inspekcję jako element oceny zagrożenia na drogach. Na podstawie inspekcji drogi wojewódzkiej przedstawiono przykłady problemów dotyczących jakości sieci drogowej oraz opisano procedurę wyboru najbardziej efektywnych działań naprawczych na drogach krajowych. Przedstawiono także konieczność automatyzacji wykonywania inspekcji.
Inspecting roads for their road safety features is a tool that can help identify the weaknesses of a road network. This paper gives an outline of the objectives and how the inspection should be carried out. Inspection is also considered as an element of risk assessment on roads. Problems of road network quality are presented on the example of a regional road inspection. The paper presents a procedure for selecting the most effective safety measures on national roads. The need for automation of the process of inspection is also presented.

Mössbauer spectroscopy of $\text{}^{57}$Fe and X-ray diffraction measurements in the Zr$\text{}_{1-x}$Ti$\text{}_{x}$Fe$\text{}_{2}$ phase have been made. The Nd2Fe14B cylindrical magnets were treated with water solutions of alkali, acid, and salt. Mössbauer spectroscopy was applied to study the composition and properties of the surface material of the treated magnets. It is shown that the main phase of the permanent Nd2Fe14B magnet partly decomposes. The released α-Nd at the grain boundaries interacts with water and forms neodymium hydroxide matrix, and the released Fe diffuses into it. The presence of Fe-Nd(OH)3 is refl ected in the paramagnet doublet in the Mössbauer spectra of treated neodymium magnets.
